Lenart","doi":"10.5604/01.3001.0053.7223","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5604/01.3001.0053.7223","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of this article is to present changes in the employment policy in Poland after the Second World War(in a synthetic manner), with particular emphasis on employment agency and vocational counseling provided by employment offices. Due to the wide range of research issues, the considerations focus on legal and organizational issues as well as the objectives and development directions of employment services.The article uses two historical methods of research: philosophical and statistical. What is more, following source texts were analyzed: legal acts, printed sources, archival sources.After World War II, public employment services evolved compared to the period of the Second Polish Republic. Their main goal was no longer to mitigate the effects of unemployment, but to eliminate it and achieve full employment for the needs of the expanding economic compound. In addition to traditional job placement, a number of instruments for recruiting and activating the workforce has been introduced, including vocational guidance. The aim of this article is to present the complex support provided to seniors in the area of social activity. Therefore, the health condition of seniors strongly determines their quality of life, well-being, but also shapes their image in society. A group particularly strongly affected by the effects of isolation were people under 60 years of age. As part of the post-pandemic support project for this group, a comprehensive needs study was undertaken. Supporting activities were organized on this basis, including those related to the spiritual plane. In the light of the project research, it can be seen that the crisis situation has developed developmental tendencies in the sphere of religiosity among the respondents. In addition, it has resulted in initiatives with features of religious innovation. This is a worrying phenomenon especially in the light of the population ageing. It causes a loss for the economy of valuable labour resources, which are increasingly scarce. It also puts a heavy burden on public finance with the payment of an increasing number of old-age pension benefits. Retiring early immediately after obtaining entitlement or within a few months after this occurrence increases a risk of poverty. Pensions in Poland are generally low; the amount of the calculated benefit increases significantly with each additional year of work and payment of old-age insurance contributions. The article describes the issues related to the possibility of encouraging persons who have obtained the entitlement to an old-age pension to remain in the labour market and defer claiming the benefit. Based on the results of the Institute of Labour and Social Studies research project on mitigating the effects of the pandemic among high-risk groups, the author analysed the main reasons for retirement of persons at pensionable age and the motives indicated by them for continuing employment or returning to the labour market. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki bada ankietowych, przeprowadzonych w styczniu 2021 r., metod CAWI, na prbie 200 respondentw. Wyniki wskazuj na stosunkowo pozytywn ocen poziomu dobrostanu przez medykw, a take ich optymistyczne podejcie do przyszoci. Pozytywny obraz dobrostanu zaburzaj odczucia pracownikw ochrony zdrowia dotyczce intelektualnego i emocjonalnego wyczerpania. Badanie empiryczne pozwolio zidentyfikowa trzy relatywnie jednorodne grupy pracownikw pod wzgldem czynnikw decydujcych o samopoczuciu zawodowym. Pierwsza wskazuje na dwa rwnie wane czynniki: interesujc prac i pewno zatrudnienia. Druga wyodrbniona grupa uzalenia swoje samopoczucie zawodowe gwnie od interesujcej pracy i moliwoci rozwoju zawodowego. Trzecia grupa koncentrowaa si na rwnowadze midzy prac i yciem zawodowym. Wyniki maj istotne znaczenie dla wiadomego zarzdzania pracownikami ochrony zdrowia.
