HEALTH SITUATION OF THE ELDERLY PEOPLE DURING AND AFTER THE PANDEMIC

Abstract

People age at different rates and in different ways, however, the inevitable consequence of this process is the deterioration of health with age, faster development of diseases, especially chronic ones, making their course more severe and burdened with higher mortality than among younger people. Health, or lack of it, is very closely linked to personal independence or dependence on others. Therefore, the health condition of seniors strongly determines their quality of life, well-being, but also shapes their image in society. Therefore, the aim of the article is to show the health of the elderly in its objective and subjective dimensions, during and after the pandemic.
