The approach is used to identify unknown defects in metallic walls. The methodology used in this study consists in the simulation of a large number of defects in a metallic wall, using the finite element method. Both variations in with and height of the defects are considered. Then, the obtained results are used to generate a set of vectors for the training of two neural network models: multilayer perceptron neural network (MLP) and radial basis functions (RBF). Finally, the obtained neural networks are used to classify a group of new defects, simulated by the finite element method, but not belonging to the original dataset. After exposing the context and requirements for an e-teaching system, two approaches are described. The first one is made up of a gradual integration of software requirements specification into the prototype via standardized templates. The second one is based on a four categories organization of help and tutorial documents: prototype, IEC 61850, substation control domain and modelling languages. The help and tutorial documents can be textual, audio and video. The acoustic power radiated by each face of the motor will be exterminated from the data intensity measurement. The approach for this research was inspired by DNA computing and molecular biology, this research show that this biological inspiration can be used as a mature robotic methodology, which, takes bases from traditional architectures such as the architecture of subsumption of Rodney Brooks and the methodology of potential fields. We provide a revision of this methodology comparing it with the Principles of Design of Rolf Pfeifer, as well as with the General Computing Framework proposed by Claude and Paun. The emphasis is put on the modeling of the control part of the system, where several modeling formalisms were used, ranging from state diagrams to Petri nets, and including hierarchical and concurrent state diagrams and statecharts. All students holds during the whole semester a didactic kit containing a medium-side FPGA, which allows extensive exercising of VHDL coding and implementation.
