Software reuse environments play an important role in exploiting reusable artifacts to the extent. Environments that support reusing early-stage software artifacts are of great interest. There have been a number of reuse environments proposed in the literature for reuse of software artifacts. However, there is no framework to allow analyzing (i.e. classifying and comparing) reuse environments. The significance of such a framework is twofold: (1) to be used by reuse practitioners to select appropriate environment; and (2) to be used by researchers to identify gaps for future research. In this paper, we present an attribute-based framework to provide such aid to practitioners and researchers. The paper also presents an indicative survey of current reuse environments proposed for systematic reuse of software artifacts. We use the framework to analyze those reuse environments. The analysis provides an understanding of current systematic reuse approaches and respective reuse environments; and identifies corresponding shortcomings. Consequently, we post research questions for future work.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134009055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Use of data from social networks for different purposes, such as election prediction, sentimental analysis, marketing, communication, business, and education, is increasing day by day. Precise extraction of valuable information from short text messages posted on social media (Twitter) is a collaborative task. In this paper, we analyze tweets to classify data and sentiments from Twitter more precisely. The information from tweets are extracted using keyword based knowledge extraction. Moreover, the extracted knowledge is further enhanced using domain specific seed based enrichment technique. The proposed methodology facilitates the extraction of keywords, entities, synonyms, and parts of speech from tweets which are then used for tweets classification and sentimental analysis. The proposed system is tested on a collection of 40,000 tweets. The proposed methodology has performed better than the existing system in terms of tweets classification and sentiment analysis. By applying the Knowledge Enhancer and Synonym Binder module on the extracted information we have achieved increase in information gain in a range of 0.1% to 55%. The increase in information gain has enabled our proposed system to better summarize the twitter data for user sentiments regarding a keyword from a particular category.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121704212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An adaptive RBF NN controller is developed to approximate and compensate the large uncertain system dynamics, and a robust compensator is designed to eliminate the impact of NN modeling error and external disturbances. Moreover, another RBF NN is employed to learn the upper bound of NN modeling error and external disturbances, so the prior knowledge of the upper bound of system uncertainties is not required. All the adaptive laws in the RNSM control system are derived in the same Lyapunov framework, which can guarantee the stability of the closed loop system. Numerical simulations for a MEMS gyroscope are investigated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed RNSM tracking control scheme.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125990998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Over the years, pattern mining-based approaches to RF have attracted great interest to discover knowledge of user interest from text documents. However, the data mining approaches often produce a large set of patterns, which include a lot of noisy patterns, reducing the effective use of pattern mining. In this paper, we present a novel pattern mining approach to RF. This approach mines patterns in both positive and negative feedback and then classifies them into clusters to find user-specific patterns. We also propose a novel pattern deploying method that effectively uses the discovered patterns for improving the performance of searching relevant documents. Experiments are conducted on Reuters Corpus Volume 1 data collection (RCV1) and TREC filtering topics. The results show that the proposed approach achieves promising performance comparing with state-of-the-art term-based methods and pattern-based ones.","PeriodicalId":345020,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE/ACIS 12th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121648918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
