Therefore, the objective was to assess the influence of bio-stimulants and contaminated water on the morphology of ornamental sunflowers. Statistical tests revealed significant differences among variables, such as plant height, leaf number, internode distance, peduncle length, root mass, fresh plant mass, and stem diameter. The Algaser bio-stimulant (seaweed) exhibited the most significant differences (α = 0.05), followed by distilled water, Rady max (amino acids + inorganic fertilizer), and Flizz (amino acids). Canal water consistently resulted in the lowest means for all morphological variables. This study demonstrates that bio-stimulants and water quality play a significant role in the morphological development of ornamental sunflowers.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45149871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rhizobacteria improve plant growth in several ways, phytohormone production, nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization and increase root morphology. The present investigation was conducted to determine the efficiency of rhizobacteria (PGPR's) Pseudomona protegens (CHA0) and Pseudomona putida (BMR 2-4) inoculated within three bioformulates to be evaluated within the percentage of germination, increase of absorbing hairs using rhizotrons and seedlings under consortia or in combination of phosphorus fertilizers. Under in-vitro conditions, BIOIMPULSE co-inoculation was very effective in increasing germination percentage with an average of 80%. In rhizotrons, a greater increase in absorbing hairs of 5.67 mm and root area of 0.86 mm2 per BIOIMPULSE was exhibited, comparable to the treatment with AIA (25 mg/mL). In seedlings, BIOIMPULSE is highly effective in improving root morphology and height by emendando 5 g/L phosphorus was observed Ø hypocotyl dimensions between (5.12 to 4.62 mm) and functional leaves (9.75 to 11.75). BIOIMPULSE modifies root functioning, improves plant nutrition, and influences vegetative physiology, being versatile over all other bioformulates by increasing the germination percentage, early appearance of root hairs and root growth in the presence of phosphorus fertilizers. This means that they can be useful to reduce the cost of chemical fertilizers.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41890366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, different kinds of phenomena could exacerbate agricultural drought frequency, duration, and severity. For example, El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO), which mostly occurs in the tropical western and central pacific, directly affects the Peruvian territory. This study aims to understand ENSO's influence on agricultural drought in the Mantaro Valley, Peru since it is one of the most important agricultural lands in the country without clear scientific information linked to drought and ENSO events. For drought assessment using the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration (SPEI) index and for ENSO events through a documentary and numerical analysis under Oceanic Niño Index (ONI) with information from several scientific recent papers to integrate information and formulate a clear event influence understanding. The results show that within Mantaro Valley along its four provinces and their six meteorological stations, 70% of agricultural drought events occurred when ENSO was present between 1990-2021. Also, the severity straight correlation percentage between both, ENSO and SPEI events is quite variable between 9.09%-70%. It is important to keep analyzing those stations with few data since it can provide a new scenario deportment and track new ENSO forecasting methods to rise adaptive capacity and guarantee national and international food security which has as an important supplier to the Mantaro Valley, Peru.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42259367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study was to analyze the evolution, characteristics, and relationships of research in neuroscience applied to food, but with an ethical approach. A bibliometric analysis was carried out with scientific information taken from the Scopus database, years 2005 to 2023, search words Ethics, neuroscience and food and using VosViewer and Bibliometrix. It was found that the United Kingdom is the most productive country with emphasis on 4 areas: animal welfare, reward, treatment, and deep brain stimulation, followed by the United States, which concentrates its research in neuroscience and health education. The countries that have related their research to ethics are France and the United States. With the VosViewer co-occurrence analysis, two clusters are visualized, one of neuroscience studies in humans, and another of neuroscience studies in non-humans or animals. In both ethics as an important aspect of analysis. With Bibliometrix, five clusters are visualized: neuroscience, health education, animal welfare, marketing-ethics, and Alzheimer-brain-neuroethics. Animal welfare is a basic topic, neuroscience (as pure science) a topic in decline, health education and studies in Alzheimer-brain-neuroethics are niche topics, and motor topics are associated with marketing and ethics. With the word cloud technique, it is observed that from 1996 to 2011 neuroscience studies in humans stand out; between 2012 and 2017 studies on the human brain and ethics; From 2018 to the present, neuroscience studies in humans continue to be in force, appearing as an important topic in animal welfare studies, associated with ethics. The brain-human binomial becomes a relevant issue from 2012 to the present. Research in humans and the brain, associated with ethical aspects, is of greater importance as of 2015. In conclusion, studying the brain and animal welfare, associated with ethics, are topics for future research.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42414258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this study was to isolate entomopathogenic fungi from the soil of a conventional avocado orchard and identify them by translation elongation factor 1-α (5’TEF). During the sampling, a total of 34 isolates were obtained, belonging to the genus Metarhizium, 23 isolates identified as Metarhizium robertsii and 11 as Metarhizium guizhouense. These results show the low diversity of entomopathogenic fungi species associated with the rhizosphere of the avocado crop and suggest that their occurrence could be associated with their ability to survive agronomic practices that induce their endophytic activity. It is necessary to understand the role of Metarhizium in the rhizosphere, this will allow the development of biological control programs specific for each crop, and thus guarantee its success in pest control.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43626139","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this problem was investigated in the Canton Naranjal in four rice farms covering a total area of 213.8 ha, carrying out \"X\" sampling with 20 double passes with the entomological net. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools were used to geo-reference the insects that prevail in the crop and at the same time observe the locations and know in which phenological stage they are present with the assistance of the BBCH Codification. Thematic maps of pest and beneficial insects were made with Density Kernel allowing the population of insects per m² found in the three samplings to be estimated. The percentages vary by phenological stage, but five pest insects predominate: Hydrellia sp, Tagosodes oryzicolus Müir, Rupella albinella, Oebalus ornatus (Adult), Tibraca limbativentris (Adult - Nymph), the GIS allow a spatial distribution of the pest insects.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49236921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this study was to characterize the current situation in tomato-growing areas of this province, in the cantons of Tosagua, Portoviejo, Rocafuerte, Bolivar, Sucre, Santa Ana, Jipijapa and Junin. A survey was applied to 35 producers, 15 technicians and 10 women workers, on production systems, problems and management of P. longifila, environmental and socioeconomic incidences. The analysis was deductive and inductive, and correlation, principal component analysis and hierarchical conglomerate analysis were also carried out. 100% of the producers indicated that P. longifila is the main pest, its control depends on agrochemicals and the climate has an impact on the problems it causes. Eighty-seven percent of the technicians reported severe damage to flowering and fruiting; 66% indicated that control of the pest cost up to 45% of the total cost of production. 14% abandoned the crop because of high infestation. 100% of the women did tie-up work, and 80% did pruning and harvesting. It is concluded that the main pest of tomato is P. longifila, reaching its maximum incidence and severity in flowering and fruiting and its control is exclusively with agrochemicals.","PeriodicalId":34452,"journal":{"name":"Manglar","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47567803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
