For this reason, the use of growth regulators is a choice; for example, paclobutrazol (PBZ) has been used to strengthen alternativity in production. This article aims to investigate the importance of PBZ in the forced production of citrus fruits. PBZ has been involved in inhibiting the synthesis of gibberellins and auxins, shortening the elongation and cell division; its use in citrus has been studied to force production to obtain it when the supply is low and thus contribute to the producer's economy. PBZ increases plant tolerance to cold weather, keeping grafted buds in a dominant state during adverse conditions; inhibits plant growth by inducing flower buds by influencing early fruit ripening, and maximizing plant yield and fruit quality. El objetivo de esta investigación fue cuantificar niveles de impregnación del preservante elaborado con sales de boro aplicado por el método de inmersión en caña Guadua angustifolia Kunth. Para ello se utilizaron probetas de caña fresca en etapa madura que fueron secadas al horno y sumergidas durante diferentes períodos de tiempo de preservación en una solución de bórax y ácido bórico al 4%. Para al análisis cualitativo, las probetas se cortaron a la mitad transversalmente y los segmentos se expusieron a sustancias reveladoras elaboradas a partir de Cúrcuma longa y ácido clorhídrico. Adicionalmente, la dimensión de la coloración obtenida tras esta reacción química fue evaluada a través del análisis cuantitativo mediante el uso de fórmulas.
