However, large studies comparing disease-specific stress are scarce.</div></div><div><h3>Objectives</h3><div>To investigate stress in a large, diverse sample of patients with different skin conditions and identify predictors of stress.</div></div><div><h3>Methods</h3><div>A cross-sectional, multicenter study was conducted in 22 dermatology clinics across 17 European countries (response rate 82.4%). The study included 5487 patients diagnosed with various dermatological conditions and 2808 skin-healthy controls. The Perceived Stress Scale, 10 items was used to measure stress.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Patients reported significantly higher stress levels, more stressful life events during the last 6 months, and more economic difficulties than controls. Patients with psychodermatological conditions, hyperhidrosis, hidradenitis suppurativa, atopic dermatitis, acne, and urticaria experienced the highest stress levels. 44% of the variance of perceived stress in patients with skin conditions could be predicted by sociodemographic data and disease-related and psychological variables (depression, anxiety, stigmatization, and body dysmorphic concerns).</div></div><div><h3>Limitations</h3><div>As with all cross-sectional studies, causality and directionality cannot be inferred.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusion</h3><div>Stress poses a significant psychosocial burden to dermatological patients, especially to vulnerable subgroups. To date, subclinical atherosclerosis (SA) in psoriasis has only been studied in individual vascular territories by imaging.</div></div><div><h3>Objective</h3><div>To conduct a comprehensive evaluation of multiterritorial SA prevalence in psoriasis by imaging and establish its relationships with cardiovascular (CV) risk scores.</div></div><div><h3>Methods</h3><div>A total of 120 patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis without CV disease from the Early Detection of Subclinical Atherosclerosis in Psoriasis (EDSAP) cohort underwent vascular ultrasound of carotid/femoral arteries and noncontrast/contrast-coronary computed tomography angiography. SA was defined by the presence of any plaque or a coronary artery calcium score ≥1.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>The median age was 48.04 (8.25) years, 73% were male, and 77% of participants had SA. Femoral arteries were most affected (57.1%), followed by the coronaries (51.3%) and carotid arteries (49.6%). Femoral plaques exhibited the strongest associations with coronary parameters. CV risk scores underestimated SA, as at least 60% low-risk and 90% moderate-risk patients had SA.</div></div><div><h3>Limitations</h3><div>The main limitation is the small sample size.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>This study provides the first multiterritorial assessment of SA in psoriasis, revealing a high prevalence of early disease. Femoral arteries were most affected, correlating with coronary atherosclerosis. Permanent hair dye accounts for approximately 80% of hair dye products on the market.</div></div><div><h3>Objective</h3><div>To systematically review the association between hair dye use and cancer risk and identify vulnerable populations.</div></div><div><h3>Methods</h3><div>A systematic search of PubMed and MEDLINE from January 1964 to March 2025 was conducted. Articles were reviewed independently by 3 assessors.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>The review included 96 articles including 2 on both adults and children, and 5 on maternal exposure and pediatric cancer risk. Some studies suggested potential associations between hair dye use and cancer risk. Trends include increased risk of estrogen receptor + breast cancer among African American women and elevated bladder cancer in both genders. risk in frequent users. Individuals with slow acetylator N-acetyltransferase 2 genotypes or <em>CYP1A2</em> had elevated cancer risk with dye use.
