The volumes of data were obtained from samples from text collections in Rus-sian. The aim of the research is to analyze the cluster structure of the studied volume and semantic proximity of words in clusters and subclusters. The hypothesis was used that words with similar meaning should occur in approximately the same context. In this regard, in the space of features, they will be at a relatively close distance from each other, while differing words will be at a more distant distance from each other. Research is carried out using elastic maps, which are effective tools for visual analysis of multidimensional data. The construction of elastic maps and their extensions in the space of the first three principal components makes it possible to determine the cluster structure of the studied multidimensional data volumes. The analysis of the cluster structure for the considered volume of multidimensional data is carried out. The influence of transposition of the initial data array is considered.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020). Accurate segmentation of mucous glands is a crucial step to obtain reliable morphological statistics and is necessary for the development of high-quality diagnostic algorithms, which are an integral part of timely medical care. In this paper we propose a two-stage segmentation method, which predicts the probability maps of glands boundaries in histological images based on a priori knowledge about the geometric shape of the mucous glands and uses a convolutional neural network (CNN) model to get the final segmentation result based on the predicted probability maps. The proposed method demonstrates good results in separating adjacent glands, which is one of the most challenging aspects in automatic segmentation of histological glands and one of the most complicated for algorithms based on applying convolutional neural networks. The evaluation of the proposed algorithm was performed with Warwick-QU dataset, which contains real histological images of colon tissue.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020). A geometric interpolant is understood as a geometric object of a multidimensional space passing through predetermined points in advance, the coordinates of which correspond to the initial experimental and statistical information. Principles for determining geometric interpolants and an example of an analytical description of a 3-parameter geometric interpolant belonging to a 4-dimensional space in the form of a geometric scheme and a computational algorithm based on a sequence of point equations are given. The main direction of practical use of geometric interpolants is geometric modeling of multifactor processes and phenomena, but they can also be an effective tool for multivariate approximation. Based on this, the article presents a general approach to modeling geometric manifolds with given differential properties and its application in the form of a numerical solution of differential equations by approximating it using geometric interpolants of a multidimensional space. To implement an approach to modeling geometric manifolds with specified differential properties, it is proposed to use a computational algorithm consisting of 10 points. The advantages of using geometric interpolants for the numerical solution of differential equations are highlighted.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020). As MRI raw data is taken in a frequency domain, 2D in- verse discrete Fourier transform is applied to visualize data. Inability to take inverse Fourier transform of full spectrum (full k-space) leads to the insufficient sampling of the high frequency data and results in a well-known Gibbs phenomenon. It is worth to notice that truncation of high frequency information generates a significant blur, thus some techniques from other image restoration problems (for example, image deblur task) can be successfully used. We propose attention-based convolutional neural network for Gibbs-ringing reduction which is the extension of recently proposed GAS-CNN (Gibbs-ringing Artifact Suppression Convolutional Neural Network). Proposed method includes simplified non-linear mapping, amended by LRNN (Layer Recurrent Neural Network) refinement block with feature attention module, controlling the correlation between input and output tensors of the refinement unit. The research shows that the proposed post-processing refinement construction considerably simplifies the non-linear mapping.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020). Hilbert visualization and numerical modeling of phase perturbations induced by the studied medium in the probing light field are used. The study of the burning jet was carried out using the methods of Hilbert op-tics and Abel transformation in the model of axial symmetry of the torch. A software package has been developed that implements a direct solution to the problem: calculation of the spatial optical phase structure of the flame and its corresponding hilbertograms based on the temperature and molar concentrations of the combustion products of the mixture. The reliability of the obtained results is confirmed by comparing the Hilbert structures obtained in the experiment and the reconstructed optical density field of the phase using the Abel transform. The results of the comparison are used as a quality criterion for modeling the phase structure and temperature field in the study of the combustion process. The developed method can be used to solve the in-verse problem of restoring the temperature field from the Hilbert image of the phase structure of a hydrogen-air flame in the approximation of axial symmetry. The research is motivated by the scientific and practical significance of the problem, which consists in finding methods for controlling the structural and thermodynamic parameters of reacting jets and flames.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020). State of the art neural network algorithms allow to perform highly accurate semantic segmentation of images, including aerial photos. However, in most of the works authors use high-quality low-noise images. In this work, we study the ability of neural networks to correctly segment images with intensive uncorrelated Gaussian noise. The study brings us three main conclusions. Firstly, it demonstrates that neural network algorithms are capable of working with extreme image distortions without using additional filtration or image recovery techniques. Secondly, the experiments quantitatively show that distortion intensity can be negated with increased training set size. Such process is similar to model’s quality improvement and generalization due to training dataset enlargement. Finally, we quantitatively demonstrate how image aggregation techniques affect training with noised data.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020). Based on this mathematical model, a visualization module for shell SSS visualization using VR and AR technologies was developed. The interactive visualization environment Unity 2019.3 and C# programming language were used. The interactive visualization module makes a 3D image of a shell structure and visualizes the SSS either through heat maps over the shell or through the changes in the shell geometry on the basis of the shell type, its geometric characteristics, and SSS analysis data (transferred to the visualization module by means of a JSON file). While working on the visualization module, the authors developed a system of components that makes it possible to visualize any 3D surface with coordinate axes (including numbers with a pitch determined automatically), visualize heat maps with a graduated scale, visualize a mesh over the graph to improve the perception of the surface deformations. The middle surface can also be deformed on the basis of SSS analysis data. This solution increases the efficiency of the work of specialists in civil engineering and architecture and can be used when training specialists in courses on thin-shell structures and procedural geometry.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020). To describe all free areas of a container of complex geometric shape is applied the developed model of potential containers. Algorithms for constructing orthogonal polyhedrons and their subsequent placement are presented. The decomposition algorithm intended to reduce the number of orthogonal objects forming an orthogonal polyhedron is described in detail. The proposed placement algorithm is based on the application of intersection operations to obtain the areas of permissible placement of each considered object of complex geometric shape. Examples of packing sets of orthogonal polyhedrons and voxelized objects into containers of various geometric shapes are given. The effectiveness of application of all proposed algorithms is presented on an example of solving practical problems of rational placement of objects produced by 3D printing technology. The achieved layouts exceed the results obtained by the Sinter module of the software Materialise Magics both in speed and density.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020). Parameterized smooth curves cannot be used in the field of analytical geometry, which explains the necessity for finding of analytical representation of such curves. The article considered the construction of a smooth curve presented in an analytical form and some approaches to finding an analytical model for a parametric Bezier curve. А presentation of a function in the form of its functional areas was chosen as prototype of the analytical model. The selected representation formed on the basis of the De Casteljau's method of constructing the Bezier curve and set-theoretic modeling. The Rvachev functions (R-functions) are used as the mathematical apparatus of set-theoretic operations on function areas. The functional-voxel method makes it possible to simplify the computation of R-functional procedures. An algorithm for constructing the functional area of the Bezier curve is developed on the basis of the presented combined R-voxel approach. The obtained results allow for the conclusions about the adequacy of this approach and its development protentional to construct more complicated structures.","PeriodicalId":344054,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 30th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Machine Vision (GraphiCon 2020).
