These metal-based susceptors are highly loss materials (e.g.: iron and aluminium micro/nano-powders), which rapidly heat-up by means of the microwaves/radio frequency irradiation. The heat is then transferred to the matrix through conventional heat transfer. This is a very effective technology to create reversible adhesives suitable for many applications in various industries including the automotive and the aerospace industry. Susceptor technology is a good way to replace traditional hot-melt adhesives. Hot-melt adhesives are thermoplastic bonding materials applied as melts that achieve a solid state and resultant strength on cooling. These thermoplastics of 100% solid materials melt in the temperature range from 65 °C to 180 °C. Theoretically, any thermoplastic can be a hot-melt adhesive, however, preferred materials are usually solid up to 79.4 °C or higher. Metal particles are suitable for susceptor materials that create hysteresis heating-based Curie temperature control for polymer processing. The electrical properties of the reinforcement are mainly used for matrix melting by induction heating. Induction heating has several features, including high efficiency and economic benefits and environmental benefits. In this study we investigated a formulation of MW/activated adhesives made of LDPE mixed with aluminium micro-particles. An optimization of the best materials concentration and dimensions was carried out according with the electro-magnetic performances evaluated.","PeriodicalId":343896,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131606754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The increasing use of renewable resources and the environmental regulations placed on fossil fuel electricity generation bring new challenges in the operation of highly loaded electricity networks, especially at peak hours. One way of addressing these problems is load reduction using methods such as Demand Response (DR). DR programs are in place worldwide mainly for industrial clients, while approaches for residential consumers are mostly theoretical, with a few pilot projects underway. This paper proposes a Particle Swarm Optimization-based algorithm for Demand Response at MV/LV substation level, where the DR level requested by the utility for a substation is distributed between the customers in the LV network according to preset comfort levels and other optimization criteria - affected number of users, affected comfort levels, network balancing and loss reduction.","PeriodicalId":343896,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121056110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The conclusion of the paper is that the Faster Regional based Convolutional Neural Network (Faster R-CNN) algorithm has qualities in terms of accuracy and speed that make it suitable to be used in such applications. Faster R-CNN is a result of merging Region Proposal Network (RPN) and Fast-RCNN algorithms into a single network. For increasing the video processing power, a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) was employed for training and testing at a speed of 15 fps on a dataset containing 3000 images for 4 classes. The dataset is composed of images containing the three phases of a traffic light and the STOP indicator.","PeriodicalId":343896,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116504309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Morocco is one of these sustainability based committed countries, especially that its transport sector depends on oil, which is entirely imported from outside of the country. In this sense, the aim of this paper is to predict the diffusion of EVs in Moroccan market by three models Gompertz, Logistic and Bass. Then the best model that fits well our data is chosen, based on R-square and the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). In addition, we have assessed the interaction between the cumulative sales of EVs and the battery price, using the Generalized Bass Diffusion Model. Results show that the Moroccan market reaches the maximum sales of EVs, after 14 years and the battery cost has a great effect on the market diffusion, a decreasing of the battery price could accelerate the diffusion of EVs market.","PeriodicalId":343896,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130806546","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
