For centralized data consistency management, the conventional database systems can't satisfy timeliness and nostop service requirement under dynamically changing environment. Autonomous Decentralized Database System is proposed to meet these requirements. In ADDS, each site holds Allowable Volume(AV) in which each site can have local updates autonomously without communicating with any master site. And background coordination technology for autonomous adjustment of AV among the sites enables flexible provision of services. In the circumstance that AV is not enough in the system, however, the background coordination technology is not enough. In the system supporting multiple alternative services, AV shortage also allows both increase of the timeliness and decrease of the satisfaction. The satisfaction requirement means that each site offers products of user's desire to as many users as possible. To solve these problems, Autonomous Mobile Agent Coordination Technology is proposed. The technology is composed of two sub technologies. In Autonomous Relocation Technology, MA autonomously detects AV shortage thorough sites and distributes AV among sites. Autonomous Guarantee Technology makes MA assure satisfaction in adjusting alternative services reserved among sites by coordination with sites. Each of these approaches is generally known, but their consolidated implementation into one control algorithm is new. The control program was written in MATLAB with Real-time toolbox and realized in PC with the technological card connected to the laboratory apparatus. Due to the fact the control system has multiple inputs and multiple outputs the decentralized autonomous controller was used. Many systems are biased in practice therefore the self-tuning control strategy was added into the used control algorithm. Furthermore, the method of simple nonlinear controller enlarges the area of usage of the used approach. It is common that the controlled process is needed to be controlled in real-time in practice. In that purpose, the Real-time toolbox was used. Therefore, it is required to reduce the size of data and to provide continuous services. Additionally, users have heterogeneous service level requirements, but it is difficult for conventional centralized information system to meet the above needs simultaneously. Autonomous Decentralized Information System (ADIS) is proposed to achieve these requirements. In this system, the layered data is employed and each data is distributed on different levels. Therefore, the system can provide service with adaptability and minimum total storage volume. In this paper, ADIS is implemented as streaming video service and to satisfy the heterogeneous quality requirements, high and low service levels are shown for simplicity. As for the high service levels, the redundant hot-standby node mechanism is utilized, however, this is not provided for low service level because it may cause congestion in the whole system. To achieve continuous service for low service level without decreasing high's service level, the reservation backup approach is utilized. This is used for multiple users per slot to increase service continuity. Additionally, it is required to reserve nodes that are vacant within minimum steps as quick as possible. However, there is a trade-off between the node's congestion and the search area. To solve above problems, the autonomous assurance technology is proposed. In this technology, a mobile agent decides the scope of the search, concerning the congestion in the local area. Moreover, in the failure of a node, the recovery process will proceed automatically. On the other hand, in the new digital ATC (D-ATC) system, the central logic device calculates each position to which a train can move safely, and sends the information on positions to all trains. On each train, the on-board equipment autonomously calculates an appropriate braking pattern with the information, and controls velocity of the train. Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX) responses this challenge as a bus standard based on the Ethernet protocol and has gained recognition and widespread uses in large commercial aircraft. AFDX addresses quality of service, determinism, and reliability required in an aircraft environment, and at the same time provides the advantages in wiring bundles and the communication bandwidth, increasing network capability, and supporting deterministic requirement of the airborne system and certification guidelines system. Pomportsis","doi":"10.1109/ISADS.2009.5207392","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ISADS.2009.5207392","url":null,"abstract":"Several well-known scheduling schemes like EATS and MSL seem to suffer notable performance degradation under the realistic conditions of non-uniform destinations and non-negligible transceiver tuning latencies that apply in practical WDM star networks. Our EMPS protocol has been shown to noticeably increase the performance of practical networks of this kind. Nonetheless, EMPS tries to balance the offered load by only considering the heads of the message queues maintained by the source nodes; therefore, its performance is degraded, especially for medium to high offered loads and for rather slowly tunable transceivers. In this article we propose the Minimization of Probability and Size of scheduling Latency (MinPSL) protocol, which examines each source node's message queue at a certain depth and reorders messages intelligently on the basis of receiver availability. MinPSL perfectly minimizes the probability of having to schedule two or more messages intended for the same destination simultaneously or at close times. The proposed scheme also minimizes the actual performance penalty incurred, when scheduling of consecutive messages with the same destination cannot be avoided. Extensive simulations are carried out in order to study the performance of MinPSL and compare it to EMPS under various conditions. Considerable efforts are being carried on to integrate LoWPANs with other wired and wireless IP networks, in order to make use of pervasive nature and existing infrastructure associated with IP technologies. Designing a security solution becomes a challenging task as this involves threats from wireless domain of resource constrained devices as well as from extremely mature IP domain. In this paper we have i) identified security threats and requirements for LoWPANs ii) analyzed current security solutions and identified their shortcomings, iii) proposed a generic security framework that can be modified according to application requirements to provide desired level of security. The perspective of building a system from such active blocks however has an impact on modeling and deployment of the components and supporting their interaction at run-time. The paper presents a modeling approach for dynamically interacting autonomous objects addressing the problems of independent development, deployment and incremental extension. Compared to related approaches our concept further complements the modeling by an adequate middleware that supports the abstractions of the model during run-time and performs the respective dynamic binding and co-operation between objects. Apart from creating innovation, a systematic way for its measurement is needed, in order to set strategies and policies at both European and national levels. The present research reviews the existing innovation measurement indicator methodologies, used by the European Union, in order to determine best practices and encourage enterprises to use them. A critical report and evaluation of these methodologies is completed, which leads to the conclusion that new ways of managing and measuring innovation need to be created and implemented at regional level. Finally, a new methodology is applied in the Region of Western Greece and generates results and conclusions. This new methodology includes the use of a new innovation indicator, as part of an overall indicator, which will be open to receive new measurable features of the enterprises and new applications for measurement, aiming at their subsequent synthesis. In these systems, assurance is required to achieve high performance of real-time control and high reliability of the transaction process. However, in high load transaction conditions, it is difficult for conventional centralized systems to achieve data consistency during real-time processing. In this paper, “Autonomous Decentralized Multi-layered Data Consistency Technology (ADMLDCT)”is proposed, which is based on heterogeneous “Data Fields (DFs)”with different process times of data consistence. The consistent data and inconsistent data coexist in the system. In this technology, each layer autonomously makes data consistent and cooperates with other layers according to the different stay time of data. As a result, both the recovery of inconsistent data and congestion of each layer can be improved.
