Proposed architecture is balanced memory architecture which is for high I/O(Input Output) intensive Autonomous Decentralized System using Data Transmission System memory concept in DF (Data Field) to achieve timeliness in information systems to solve today's High I/O intensive application market demand. The proposed architecture also implements two new memory caches in the system, namely L3 that works at local memory level and L4, on top of HDD. Moreover, the proposed —high I/O intensive distributed system concept called Autonomous Decentralized Data Transmission System (ADDTS) that is composed of triosubsystems with three autonomous decentralized remote storage nodes. These remote storage nodes have online expansion technique for storage system to improve system capacity. Therefore, the proposed system architecture solves previous issues and it achieves flexible data storage system that increases or decreases its capacity as per the requirements. The I/O performance evaluation shows significant enhancement over the traditional computing and ADS systems.","PeriodicalId":342911,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Symposium on Autonomous Decentralized Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129914010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is because sensor nodes would be batterydriven and it is not practical to exchange or recharge a battery for hundreds or more sensor nodes. Therefore many studies on expanding sensor network's lifetime have been performed. We focus on autonomous/adaptive routing for sensor networks to expand the networks lifetime. In this paper, we propose an autonomous method for aggregating primary paths and reserving backup paths in sensor networks. In the proposed method, primary paths and backup paths such that they are not overlapped with each other as much as possible are simultaneously reserved at first. When a battery of a node in a primary path has run out, switching a primary path to one of backup paths is rapidly performed with smallest control packets.","PeriodicalId":342911,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Symposium on Autonomous Decentralized Systems","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125750957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conventional software architectures do not explicitly target the efficient processing of continuous event streams. Recently, event-driven architectures (EDA) have been proposed as a new paradigm for event-based applications. In this paper we propose a reference architecture for sensor-based networks, which enables the analysis and processing of complex event streams in real-time. Our approach is based on semantically rich event models using ontologies that allow representation of structural properties of event types and constraints between them. Then, we argue in favor of a declarative approach of complex event processing that draws upon rule languages such as Esper and JESS. Also, we illustrate our approach in the domain of road traffic management for the high-capacity road network in Bilbao, Spain.","PeriodicalId":342911,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Symposium on Autonomous Decentralized Systems","volume":"130 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121738305","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although there is an abundance of open source tools serving the administrative needs of WSN deployments, there is a lack of tools or platforms for high level integrated WSN management. This is because of a variety of factors, including the lack of open source management tools, the immaturity of tools that offer manageability for WSNs, the limited high level management capabilities of sensor devices and architectures, and the lack of standardization. The current work is, to our knowledge, the first effort to conceptualize, formalize and design a remote, integrated management platform for the support of WSN research laboratories. The platform is based on the integration and extension of two innovative platforms: jWebDust, a WSN operation and management platform, and OpenRSM, an open source integrated remote systems and network management platform. The proposed system architecture can support several levels of integration (infrastructure management, functionality integration, firmware management), corresponding to different use-cases and application settings.","PeriodicalId":342911,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Symposium on Autonomous Decentralized Systems","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126989057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In case of multiple sinks within the network, the total load of the network has to be balanced among these sinks to minimize the problem of packet loss in the convergecast process in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) due to congestion and collisions near the sinks. In this paper, we present a novel cross-layered communication protocol for efficient data dissemination in multi-sink WSNs which is under consideration of SENSEI project. It basically combines network wide load balancing, clustering techniques and local routing optimizations with SENSEI architecture which make it efficient on both global and local level. The performance evaluation of the proposed technique shows how our routing protocol can balance the network load without additional control packets for routing tree maintenance.","PeriodicalId":342911,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Symposium on Autonomous Decentralized Systems","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121939332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
