Our approach is based on the use of Continuous Hidden Markov Models (CHMMs) to identify such naval targets. The general Gaussian density distribution HMM is developed for CHMM system. Several experiments have been conducted to study the effects of speed, distance and the direction of the naval targets on the identification rate (IR) of such targets using different features Mel-Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients (MFCCs), Perceptual Linear Prediction (PLP), and Relative Spectral PLP (RASTA-PLP). The obtained IR was found to be 100% (MFCCs & PLP) and 91.67 (RASTA) while changing the direction, 91.97% (MFCCs & PLP) and 83.33% (RASTA) while changing the distance and 58.3% (MFCCs & PLP) and 25% (RASTA) while changing the speed of the target. Results showed that speed has the maximum effect on the identification process. We applied our engine to 19 real targets signals representing 5 classes the results were 100% (MFCCs & PLP) and 84.2% (RASTA).","PeriodicalId":342396,"journal":{"name":"2009 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124299509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most researchers focus on objects to relational data model mapping but few on objects to multivalued data model (O/M). Nevertheless, existing mapping mechanisms are either hard to be extended or difficult to be managed. This paper presents a mechanism for mapping from objects to multivalued databases. A detailed mapping solution is exhibited. Besides, an interactive mapping configuration facility has been developed to ease the configuration instead of manual scripts editing. Experiments show that around 92% of the time is saved to configure the domain classes mapping by using the configuration facility of the proposed persistence mechanism in contrast to manual editing used in other similar mapping mechanisms. Simulation results show that this mapping mechanism not only shortens the overall development period, but also comparatively easy to be managed and extended.","PeriodicalId":342396,"journal":{"name":"2009 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124020624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this field the resolution of lexical ambiguity in translating queries is a key challenge. In this paper, we propose a technique for calculating translation probabilities based on creating query terms' concept graphs for selecting the right translation sense of query terms for English-Persian text retrieval. We present an efficient statistical method for creating this graph. We test the effectiveness of the proposed disambiguation method on Hamshahri collection1 that is standardized according to CLEF standards. They allow the exchange of goods or services between buyers and sellers for money or other products and services. EMs also play a central role in the economy by facilitating the exchange of information, goods, services, and payments. E-marketplaces create economic value for buyers, sellers, market intermediaries, and for society, at large. In this paper, after the introducing the e-marketplaces, we present the globalization issue and its opportunities for businesses. Then, the challenges and influences of electronic marketplaces in this new economy will be expressed. Finally, as an instance, we present the applications of EM to improve agriculture industry in a selected region.","PeriodicalId":342396,"journal":{"name":"2009 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126330940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, time series are high dimensional and feature correlational, directly detecting anomaly patterns in its raw format is very expensive, in addition, different time series may have different lengths of anomaly patterns, and usually, the lengths of anomaly patterns is unknown. This paper presents a new conception key point and an algorithm of seeking key points, the algorithm uses key points to rerepresent time series and still preserves its fundamental characteristics. Variable length method was used to segment re-represented time series into patterns and calculate anomaly scores of patterns. Anomaly patterns are identified by their anomaly scores automatically. The effectiveness of representational algorithm and anomaly detecting algorithm are demonstrated with both synthetic and standard datasets, and the experimental results confirm that our methods can identify anomaly patterns with different lengths and improve the speed of detecting algorithm greatly.","PeriodicalId":342396,"journal":{"name":"2009 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126481631","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
