In its application, SP Aluminum has tried to produce quality products to satisfy consumers. However, there are still defects that appear in its products. Another problem is the product defects have not been handled seriously by the company. Based on these problems, this study utilizes 5 quality control methods from seven tools: flowchart, check sheets, p-chart, Pareto diagram, and fishbone diagrams. This research is a quantitative qualitative with direct data collection through observation and interviews. The data taken is the product defect in Super Wok Number 12. There are 49 defects data that have been processed. From the results of the check sheet analysis, it was found that the intensity category of the product defects occurrence was obtained. Furthermore, control chart analysis show that there are some data that are out of control. Then, Pareto diagram analysis show the most dominant types of defects are holes, dregs, and pores. Finally, the factors of the absence of written SOPs, less thorough and less competent employees, poor working environment, lack of machine maintenance, poor handling of raw materials and inappropriate material handling processes were common causes of product defects.","PeriodicalId":34167,"journal":{"name":"OPSI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44262364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Machines need effective and efficient maintenance to be able to guarantee and support the production process to run well. The steel industry is an industry that produces various types and shapes of steel with one of the machines being Computer Numerical Control (CNC) type BT-A16. These machines often have problems such as downtime that interfere with the production experience. The purpose of this research is to find out the problems in the CNC BT-A16 production machine and provide recommendations for improvements to improve machine performance or Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The approach used is Total Productive Maintenance by calculating the OEE value. Problem analysis was carried out through Focus Group Discussion with expert judgment when determining the Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) analysis. Research findings indicate that the cause of the engine is not optimal comes from abnormal heat in the gearbox and machine spindle components caused by operator error when inputting data. The definite improvement is making a special schedule for maintenance, checking all maintenance schedules, and conducting training to increase knowledge and skills. The results of the corrective action show an increase in the OEE value from 70.8% to 79.9% or an increase of 9.1%, so the increase in the OEE value will increase the efficiency of the BT-A16 CNC lathe.","PeriodicalId":34167,"journal":{"name":"OPSI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48699130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

XY, workers complained about the large demands of the tasks they received with insufficient rest time, some workers remained focused and concentrated for a long time resulting in physical and psychological workloads on workers. To resolve the problem, a questionnaire was distributed to the entire population of 40 powder production workers using the NASATLX method with a focus on 6 indicators, namely mental needs, physical needs, time requirements, work performance, effort, and frustration levels as well as the KEP/75/M.PAN/7/2004. The purpose of this research is to analyze the workload of powder production workers, determine the dominant indicators based on the NASA-TLX method and determine the optimal number of workers based on KEP/75/M.PAN/7/2004. From this study, the results of the workload of 40 workers were 9 workers in the rather high category, 30 workers in the high category, and 1 worker in the very high category. One of the products from PT AJC is a wine bottle rack. In the production of wine bottle racks at PT AJC, many product defects were found. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research to determine the quality of the product, so that the correct product quality improvement is obtained. The purpose of this study was to determine the limits of statistical control and the factors causing defects in wine bottle racks so that the quality improvement provided was right on target. The methods used in this research are Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Fuzzy Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (F-FMEA). SPC method is used to determine statistical control limits and factors causing product defects. The F-FMEA method is used to determine the priority of improvement in improving the quality of wine bottle racks. The results of the research related to the statistical control limits of the SPC method were obtained that the defective data were outside the statistical control limits. While the results of research related to the causes of product failure using the SPC method are human, machine, material, environmental, method, and measurement factors. Factors causing product failure were analyzed using the F-FMEA method so that improvement priorities were obtained, namely the lack of experience of workers with an FRPN value of 269.33. Based on downtime data, the raw mill machine appears to have the most significant value in machine downtime. This study aims to measure the raw mill machine's effectiveness in applying Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). The method used in this research is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). This method measures engine effectiveness and loss factor analysis using the Six Big Losses method, as well as finding the root cause through a five why and cause and effect diagram to give the most suitable recommendations. The result of this study found that the average OEE value in 2021 was below the international OEE standard of 85%, which is 72% and 67% for Raw Mill Plant 9 and Raw Mill Plant 10, respectively. The low performance of Raw Mill Plant 9 and Raw Mill Plant 10 machines is a consequence of breakdown losses and reduced speed losses that had happened. The root causes were a lack of training for mechanics and no stock control for spare parts. The recommendations are to improve training programs and facilities and create a spare parts inventory management system.","PeriodicalId":34167,"journal":{"name":"OPSI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46746221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach used in this study is quantitative research methods with a study survey approach and normative empirical studies. Data analysis uses a correlation approach between variables. This study used data from 210 SMSs in the KUB Cilongok, with a sample of 71 respondents.
