All these factors are generating death anxiety for people. This study aimed to assess death anxiety and locus of control among Pakistani population during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was conducted at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan from March to May 2020. An online survey was conducted using an online questionnaire. A total of 149 responses were received. Descriptive statistics was calculated for demographic variables. t-test, correlation and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to test the hypotheses. Results showed statistically significant relationship between death anxiety domains and locus of control except own death and locus of control. The anxiety and apprehensions in society are globally influencing every individual to variable extents. Recent evidence indicates that people who are kept in isolation and quarantine experience substantial distress in the shape of anxiety which are likely to rise progressively during this new pandemic (COVID-19). In this study, participants showed high levels of anxiety regarding death domains and low level of control over their lives.","PeriodicalId":341215,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Professional & Applied Psychology","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122091427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study was descriptive in nature. 260 students were taken as a sample and it was drawn from three public universities of Islamabad through random sampling technique. Self-developed questionnaire was used and its reliability and validity had been estimated by Cronbach alpha and exploratory factor analysis respectively. Results of this study showed that majority of the students were agreed that they had depression and anxiety due to burdenized curriculum and shortage of time. They were not able to learn necessary skills that enhance their performance. Most of the students generally expressed anxiety when they were insulted by their parents and peers due to the bad performance in academics. Demographic factors (gender, age & qualification) had no significant effect over the students’ perception about their depression and anxiety at university level.","PeriodicalId":341215,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Professional & Applied Psychology","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125028933","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During COVID-19, present research explores the moderating role of SLP in the relationship among insomnia, psychological immunity, and psychological well-being. Survey research design and nonprobability purposive sampling technique were used. With APA ethical Consideration, online data was collected from 394 individuals from different cities of Pakistan. Results found that Synchronized Lifestyle Modification program has a significant negative relationship with insomnia but a significant positive relationship with psychological immunity and well-being. Results further found that insomnia has a negative relation with psychological immunity and well-being, this relationship will be weaker in case of a high Synchronized Lifestyle Modification program (SLP) practices.","PeriodicalId":341215,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Professional & Applied Psychology","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132240246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, an online survey through Google forms was conducted and data from 204 participants was collected. After statistical analysis done by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 25, results showed a significant positive correlation among loneliness, learned helplessness, and depression. There was no statistically significant difference between males and females in loneliness, learned helplessness, and depression.
