This study aims to look at the strategy of the head of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah NW Pondok Gedang in determining learning policies in the pandemic era. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data technique used was interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data display and data retrieval. The results of this study are that the strategies adopted by the principal in implementing learning in the pandemic era are (1) determining, determining, compiling, and implementing learning during the pandemic period which has a great opportunity to achieve learning objectives, (2) providing understanding to teachers and Students regarding courageous learning, (3) adding activities that can be practiced directly, and (4) carrying out student responsibilities, so that they can be carried out as usual by teachers in schools. Thus, the head of madrasa adopted a learning policy that could be implemented boldly through platforms and social media during the pandemic. Keyword: strategies, principals, pandemic times, case studies Kebijakan pembelajaran di era pandemi yang dibuat oleh kepala madrasah seharusnya bisa menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi kepala Madrasah Ibtidaiyah NW Pondok Gedang dalam menentukan kebijakan pembelajaran di era pandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu bahwa strategi yang dilakukan kepala madrasah dalam menerapkan pembelajaran di era pandemi yaitu (1) merancang, menentukan, menyusun, dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran di masa pandemi yang mempunyai kesempatan besar untuk tercapainya sebuah tujuan pembelajaran, (2) memberikan pemahaman kepada guru dan siswa mengenai mekanisme pembelajaran daring, (3) menambah kegiatan yang dapat dipraktekkan secara langsung dirumah, serta (4) melaksanakan penilaian siswa secara daring, sehingga dapat dilaksanakan seperti biasanya oleh guru di sekolah. Dengan demikian kepala madrasah mengambil kebijakan pembelajaran yang dapat dilaksanakan secara daring melalui platform dan media sosial selama pandemi. The type of this research is classroom action research with Kurt Lewin’s model. This research consisted of two cycles, and each cycle is made up of one meeting, data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The observation used to see the activities of the teacher and the students while the questionnaires used to see student learning motivation. Data analysis was using techniques analysis quantitative descriptive. The object of this study is the fifth grade of elementary school Nurul Ijtihad Pujut. The results showed that the implementation of hpnoteaching method could improve student learning motivation. It can be seen from achieving category values, in the first cycle, the average score of learning motivation is 28 with a percentage of 40% with quite high category, and 60% high category. The discussion chapter is divided into three sub-topics. First is online lecture planning in qualitative research courses. Starting from semester learning plans, learning strategies and material preparation in the form of soft files, so that they are easily uploaded and downloaded by lecturers and students. The second is the implementation of online lectures in qualitative research courses. For some online college students it is new but for most online college students it is new. The difficulties and advantages of online ducting appear on each side. One of the difficulties associated with technical matters is understanding material and collecting tasks. From an excess point of view, one of them is that students no longer print assignments so they are more efficient because there are no printing costs for lecture assignments. The three Edmodo assessments provide a variety of assignment models ranging from file delivery assignments, choice of gandan, essay, match, and incorrect. In addition, the value of learning outcomes is better controlled because each task file, Edmodo provides an assessment form. So that students are able to know the assessment transparently. The Qur'an is one of the subjects that must be taught to children. Early education in the Qur'an is expected to produce young people having a strong mental foundation, education not only makes children as prosperous in the world, but also provides sufficient provisions to both improve their religion and practice their scriptures. To be able to practice the Holy Qur'an correctly, children must be guided and taught how to read the Qur'an properly in accordance with the rules of true recitation. In fact the Qur'an learning at MI AL-Hidayah Mangkujajar Kembangbahu Lamongan initially tended to be monotonous for being dominated by conventional learning methods. As a result, the Qur'an learning only produced generations that could read the Qur'an with the average ability without any sense of love and closeness to the Qur'an instead of having enthusiasm in learning it well. As time goes by, the Qur'an learning at MI Al-Hidayah has increasingly developed by applying the so-called Wafa method. This method teaches children to be able to read and memorize the Qur'an by maximizing the right brain. This is classified as a new method, but it is quite practical and fun in the learning process. The research was aimed at determining the effect of the Wafa method on the ability of children to read the Qur'an at MI Al-Hidayah Mangkujajar Kembangbahu Lamongan. The research method is quantitative with the experimental type of one group pretest-post test, data analysis techniques use the mean pretest and posttest, in addition, to testing the hypothesis it uses the Paired Sample T-Test with the SPSS 16. The results showed the influence of the Wafa method on the children ability to read the Qur'an at MI Al-Hidayah Mangkujajar Kembangbahu Lamongan. It was proven from the results of the analysis through the mean pretest formula, it was obtained a value of 82.92 and increased in the acquisition of the mean value of posttest amounted to 85.75. In addition, in the Paired Sample T-Test based on significance values with SPSS 16, it is known that the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0,000 <0,05, because sig. The method of token economy refraction is a method of strengthening behavior by giving points (reward). In particular, the discipline referred to in this study is the presence of children on time at school. This research method is classroom action research which follows the models of Kemmis and Taggart. This study consisted of two cycles. Each cycle includes 4 stages, namely, 1) planning (planning), 2) acting (implementation), 3) observing (observation), 4) reflecting (reflection). The research time is 1 month, from April 2017 to May 2017 with the subject of research as many as 11 students, while the data is collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that there was a significant increase in discipline in class II students. This can be evidenced by the increase in the results of quantitative calculations starting from the results of the average pre-action discipline, cycle 1 to cycle 2, namely the results of the pre-action average = 12, cycle 1 = 13.27, cycle 2 = 15 and the results of interviews concluded that the method of habituating token economy can motivate discipline in early childhood optimally.
