Puchalski","doi":"10.33077/uw.25448730.zbkh.2022.739","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33077/uw.25448730.zbkh.2022.739","url":null,"abstract":"Professor Barbara Bieńkowska (1934–2022), among others director of the Institute of Library and Information Science at the University of Warsaw (1981–1987), president of the Polish Bibliological Society (1989–2003, since 2003 honorary president of PTB), member and chairwoman of the scientific and program councils of many scientific institutions and editorial boards, left behind more than 170 articles and books. Among them, there is no shortage of publications of fundamental importance to the development of Polish bibliology, to its achievements, theory and methodology. This article focuses on B. Krakow, Lublin and Lviv into a network of state libraries. This network was managed by the Central Library Board in Krakow under the direction of Gustav Abba and the supervision of the authorities in Berlin. To General Government, Berlin delegated a dozen German librarians who took up successive managerial positions in these libraries. Their activity has a constant impact on the development of Polish culture psychically and virtually speaking. The author refers to humanities and social scientific research methods. Based on her own research, she analyzes the publishing activities of the Foundation of Culture and Heritage of Polish Armenians. The Foundation focuses, among others on the digitization and other innovative methods of documents and artifacts.Contemporary flow of information allows to share various forms of publishing. New technologies play an increasingly important role in universal communication and social information.The Foundation of Culture and Heritage of Polish Armenians brings in new methods of documentation and preservation of material artifacts and non-material culture. It points out some prominent authors of Jesuit emblem books with a major influence on the development of this form of art in literature and art. It focuses on the heart emblem as a symbol of heart purification and on the artistic manifestations of “religio cordis” (the religious cult of the heart). Jahrhunderts, Magdalena Heymair, die ursprünglich aus Deutschland stammte, durch die Lebensumstände aber gezwungen war, in mehreren Orten Deutschlands, Österreichs und schließlich der Slowakei zu wirken. Zu Beginn des Artikels charakterisiert die Autorin kurz die Position der Frau im 16. Jahrhundert, die nach und nach männliche Stereotype überwand, wodurch es auch Frauen möglich war, sich in verschiedenen Berufen durchzusetzen. Der Artikel zeichnet das Bild einer Frau, die sich nicht nur in den Männerberufen durchsetzen konnte, sondern die durch ihre schriftstellerische Tätigkeit eine wichtige Frauenrolle im Reformprozess bewies. Darüber hinaus konzentriert sich die Autorin auf das Leben und insbesondere das Wirken und den Beitrag M. Owsiński","doi":"10.33077/uw.25448730.zbkh.2022.702","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33077/uw.25448730.zbkh.2022.702","url":null,"abstract":"The article presents the results of the phonemic-graphemic analysis of the German dispositions upon death drawn up by spouses from the first half of the 14th century, which come from the town council of Zgorzelec (Görlitz). The dispositions constitute a part of the first liber civitatis of Zgorzelec (Görlitz). The aim of the paper is to answer the question how far the script fixes the features of the spoken language. Due to the analysis it could be unambiguously proved, the German used in the text corresponds to the level of development of the German language within the periodization of history of the language as it contains the standard Early New High German features as well as the dialectal structures and the sound changes, which are characteristic for the Silesian dialect. The text can therefore be classified as one of the linguistic monuments of the East Central German of Silesian tradition. This manuscript inspired the Library of the Gdańsk University of Technology and the Institute of City Culture in Gdańsk to cooperate on a project promoting. Thanks to the joint initiative, work on the transcription of the German text written in „Kurrent” script was started and a number of events were organized to popularize both the manuscript’s content and the 18th-century calligraphy among contemporary audience. The authors used statistical information on the number of pageviews of the manuscript and the number of visits in the period from the launch of the PDL platform until May 31, 2021. In order to illustrate how popular and useful the organized events were, the authors presented the data collected by the Institute of City Culture monitoring the number of the participants of the events. Based on these, the museum will generate knowledge about script and lettering through: giving insight into conceptual work on designs of typefaces, acknowledging about history of development writing systems and typefaces, storaging of materials for the future correct digitization of the typeface, saving typefaces and writing systems from total annihilation.
