It is autonomous in nature and it should be capable of operating over a wide variety of terrain, operating conditions. Hence robust and precise control of UGATV is basic requirement while designing. In this paper, nonlinear mathematical model of UGATV for straight and turning motion is presented and is implemented in MATLAB environment with various subsystems. Thereafter transfer function model of UGATV is obtained by linearizing. Using this linearized transfer function model, Constant rate reaching law (CRRL) Sliding mode controller, Constant rate plus Propositional rate reaching Law (CRPRRL) Sliding mode controller (Exponential reaching law), Power rate reaching Law (PRRL) Sliding mode controller are designed and applied to nonlinear model of UGATV. Various channel impairments that affect the performance of 802.15.3a indoor channel model are intra pulse interference (IPI), types of modulation scheme, narrow band interference (NBI) and Rake receiver combining scheme e.g. EGC, MRC, MMSE. The shadowing as channel impairment considered in this paper and the performance of considered channel model is find out. From the analytical results it is clear that, shadowing has shown a considerable effect on the BER performance of indoor UWB channel model. This paper is proposing the simplest method to calculate the average bit-error-rate (ABER) for the effect of shadowing and verified this proposed analytical method by the simulated results.","PeriodicalId":336783,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Trends in Automation, Communications and Computing Technology (I-TACT-15)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124716056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

User's jobs are diverse and have different requirements. Jobs can be represented as Directed Acyclic Graphs and scheduling these jobs is a known NP-Complete problem. There are many heuristics developed earlier for job scheduling, that work differently in different environments with different requirements. A new heuristic SDPA, using Standard Deviation of probability of resource availability is developed for scheduling tasks which reduces makespan. It works in two stages. During first stage jobs are arranged based on the upward ranks and during the second stage jobs are allotted to the processor based on the standard deviation of probability of processor availability. Performance metrics such as Speedup, SLR and makespan are used to compare the performance of the new heuristic with existing one.","PeriodicalId":336783,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Trends in Automation, Communications and Computing Technology (I-TACT-15)","volume":"2012 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127398344","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These data can be analyzed and processed for valuable information. The traditional systems like data base, which has been used to store and process, are failing to handle these huge data which ranges in tera and peta bytes and also known as Big-data. We have many tools which can be used to analyze Big-Data. The apache's hadoop is one of the most used Big-data analyzing frameworks, Hadoop uses large number of libraries to handle and manage Big-data processes. It also handles different kinds of failures which may occur in the system. It uses map-reduce programing paradigm to analyze, distributed processing and storage of Big-Data. Big-data will be divided in different blocks and distributed within the network. The mapper functions runs in parallel on each block of Big-data and parse it to filter out the required data, which can be used for further processing. The reducer function accepts the data from mapper functions and processes it for required or expected results. It has been observed that, the intermediate data generated by mapper while processing on same Big-Data is always same. Hence, system doing redundant operations and generates same results, which is not an efficient use of resources and it delays the performance speed of the system. The proposed system creates a novel cache, which stores the intermediate data or mapper's output into a novel cache. Whenever the system needs to analyze same Big-data set, It fetches already processed data from novel cache rather than running mapper function on whole Big-data set again.","PeriodicalId":336783,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Trends in Automation, Communications and Computing Technology (I-TACT-15)","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114583004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The existing DRMO method has shown poor response in rejection of disturbances in oscillatory systems as, in such systems, even the smallest disturbance input can cause oscillations and may degrade the system response and also affect the transient parameters. In our work, we propose, the disturbance rejection on oscillatory processes in which the concept of PICS and Magnitude Optimum criteria is presented. Looking into the advantages of PICS, we propose PICS based DRMO for the lightly damped oscillatory systems. Simulations on several benchmark examples are done and the results are compared with the existing DRMO method.","PeriodicalId":336783,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Trends in Automation, Communications and Computing Technology (I-TACT-15)","volume":"421 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133338977","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The protection of image data from unauthorized access is important. In the proposed work, the authors introduce a two-stage image encryption using a hybrid of two Pseudo Random Number Generators. In the first stage, an altered version of the Sophie Germain Prime Generator is used to create a set of generated pseudo random numbers, which is then used to assign new values to all the pixels of the image. In the second stage, Lehmer Random Number Generator is used to generate a set of random numbers depending on the key entered. Each pixel of the intermediate cipher image is then swapped with a different pixel using the list of the pseudo random numbers. The resultant is an encrypted image on which cryptanalysis becomes difficult since the random numbers cannot be predicted if key values for PRNGs are not known.","PeriodicalId":336783,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Trends in Automation, Communications and Computing Technology (I-TACT-15)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131714545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Speaker verification under limited data may not be able to produce sufficient feature vector for training and testing. This creates poor speaker modelling during training and testing. To defeat this problem, feature vectors for training and testing are increased. To increase the feature vectors, multiple frame size (MFS), multiple frame rate (MFR) and multiple frame size and rate (MFSR) analysis techniques are explored. These techniques comparatively increase more feature vectors during training and testing compared to single frame size and rate (SFSR) analysis. With the help of these feature vectors improved modeling and testing can be done under limited data. To demonstrate this we have used Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) as feature extraction technique. Gaussian mixture modelling-Universal background model (GMM-UBM) is used for modelling the speaker. The NIST-2003 is used as database for conducting the experiments. The experimental results show that there is an improvement in the performance of speaker verification if we use MFS, MFR and MFSR are analysis techniques instead of SFSR. Further, the experimental results show that MFSR gives improved performance over other analysis techniques.","PeriodicalId":336783,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Trends in Automation, Communications and Computing Technology (I-TACT-15)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127533686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
