The virtual church is a future church design that allows all human spiritual activities, such as worship, cell communities, prayer services, counseling, sacraments, evangelism, and so on, to enter soon a new era where the role of human beings is becoming increasingly insignificant and replaced with a touch of internet-based technology. The development of technology, with all its sophistication, has shifted the definition of the church. There is a characteristic of the true church, which is that 'koinonia' (communion) cannot be implemented virtually. This study aims to conduct a biblical study of the true meaning of digital ecclesiology to find whether the virtual church violates the rules of God's word or not. As well as looking for biblical patterns of spiritual life in building a virtual church. Using qualitative methods with a literature study approach through the source of books and literature as a research reference. The conclusion of this study is that the practice of virtual churches does not violate the rules of God's word; however, virtual churches need to build strong relationships between members (koinonia/communion), as the early congregations did in Acts 2:42-47, becoming a pattern (patron) of building virtual churches in today's era.AbstrakGereja virtual adalah rancangan gereja masa depan yang memungkinkan semua aktivitas rohani manusia seperti ibadah, komunitas sel, pelayanan doa, konseling, sakramen, penginjilan dan sebagainya akan segera memasuki era baru, di mana peran manusia menjadi semakin tidak signifikan dan tergantikan dengan sentuhan teknologi berbasis internet. Perkembangan teknologi dengan segala kecanggihannya membuat definisi gereja mengalami pergeseran. Ada karakteristik gereja sejati, yaitu koinonia (persekutuan) yang tidak mampu diterapkan secara virtual. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan kajian biblis makna eklesiologi digital yang sesungguhnya, untuk menemukan apakah gereja virtual menyalahi kaidah firman Tuhan atau tidak? Serta mencari pola kehidupan rohani yang Alkitabiah dalam membangun gereja virtual. Menggunakan metodekualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, melalui sumber buku-buku dan literatur sebagai acuanpenelitian. ' (straw letter). Luther's statement was prompted by his doubts about the letter of James, which emphasizes good works more than faith. Although James himself did not mean it that way, Luther's view has prompted many theologians who interpret James' teaching on faith and works specifically discussed in chapter 2 to contradict Paul's teaching of justification by faith alone in Christ (Rom 3:24,28). Here the authors discuss the reflection on Martin Luther's views with James 2:14-26 regarding justification by faith.AbstrakDalam tulisan ini, para penulis menjelaskan bahwa pandangan seorang teolog reformasi yang bernama Martin Luther pernah menyatakan bahwa surat Yakobus ini adalah ’’mangles the Scripture and there by opposes Paul and all Scripture’’ dan menyebut surat ini sebagai ’’an epistle of straw’’ (surat jerami). Pernyataan Luther ini didorong oleh keraguannya kepada surat Yakobus yang lebih menekankan perbuatan baik daripada iman. Meskipun Yakobus sendiri tidak bermaksud demikian, namun pandangan Luther ini  telah mendorong banyak teolog yang menafsirkan ajaran Yakobus mengenai iman dan perbuatan yang dibahas khusus dalam pasal 2 ini bertentangan dengan ajaran Paulus mengenai pembenaran hanya oleh iman kepada Kristus (Rm. 3:24,28). This study concludes that Proverbs 1:7 about the fear of God and knowledge and John 3:3-8 about being born again in water and the Spirit contain meaning about the concept of transformation in Christianity. The effort of self-transformation or self-renewal is the fruit of a mature believer willing to respond to God's grace of love and unity. This gift of renewal is the gift of being a new human being, returning to being a child of God so that he is ready to become a messenger of God. The author finds that these meanings and concepts are relevant (harmonious and mutually enriching understanding) to Javanese beliefs about the concept of salvation as the goal of human life. The Christian transformation has a distinctive manifestation in Javanese culture through the culture of spiritual practice and sapa ingsun. Business people also face a corrupt bureaucracy that will lead to ethical problems that lead to compromise rather than negotiation. This article finds that the ethical problems faced by business people in the GKI congregation in R city are issues of injustice and dishonesty related to tax issues. Business people get solutions and sources of referrals from outside the church, namely from conscience, association with business partners, and the teachings of the golden rule, which cannot be said to be the absolute property of Christianity because these teachings are also found in the Confucian religion. Only the concept of “the fear of the LORD” was a participant's only reference. The GKI Church, especially the GKI in R city, needs to maximize its role in order to be able to equip the businessmen of its church members to run their businesses properly and responsibly.AbstrakMasalah yang dihadapi oleh pebisnis sejak puluhan tahun lalu, bahkan juga masih dirasakan saat ini adalah ketidakadilan. Pebisnis juga menghadapi birokrasi yang koruptif yang akan memunculkan masalah etis yang berujung pada sikap kompromi daripada negosiasi. Artikel ini menemukan bahwa persoalan etis yang dihadapi pebisnis di jemaat GKI di kota R, adalah persoalan ketidakadilan dan ketidakjujuran berkaitan dengan masalah pajak. Para pebisnis mendapat solusi dan sumber rujukan dari luar gereja, yakni dari hati nurani, pergaulan dengan rekan bisnis, dan ajaran kaidah emas yang tidak bisa dikatakan milik mutlak Kekristenan, karena ajaran ini juga terdapat dalam agama Kong Hu Cu. Hanya konsep ”takut akan Tuhan” yang menjadi satu-satunya rujukan yang dimiliki oleh seorang partisipan. Instead, Jesus wanted to state that religious leaders had interpretations that needed to be directed to the Sabbath that detailed it with so many rules that burdened the people. The legalist attitude towards the concept of the Sabbath in the lives of the people underwent many changes that made them face various challenges. It is necessary to research to consider that time which is a gift from God, is understood to be something of his own personal possessions and pleasures. Attempts to gain an understanding of the concept of the Sabbath are made by exegesis of grammatical analysis based on the structure of Matthew 12:1-8 as a text of choice to be dig which will be unearthed both from the background context and the wording of indicators relating to the Sabbath. The result of this research analysis shows that the main essence of the application of the Sabbath is the mercy of God. Thus believers can apply the Sabbath joyfully to being merciful to themselves by resting to refresh the body, soul, mind, and compassion for those in need.AbstrakKontroversi Sabat muncul karena Yesus mencoba untuk membebaskan orang dari banyak peraturan yang mengikat secara legalis. Sebaliknya, Yesus ingin menyatakan bahwa para pemuka agama memiliki penafsiran yang perlu diarahkan tentang Sabat yang merincikannya dengan begitu banyak aturan yang memberatkan umat. Sikap yang legalis terhadap konsep Sabat dalam kehidupan umat mengalami banyak perubahan yang membuat mereka diperhadapkan dengan berbagai tantangan. Hal ini perlu diteliti untuk mempertimbangkan bahwa waktu yang adalah anugerah dari Tuhan dipahami menjadi sesuatu milik pribadi dan kesenangannya sendiri. Usaha untuk mendapatkan pemahaman tentang konsep Sabat dilakukan dengan analisis kritik gramatikal berdasarkan berdasarkan struktur Matius 12:1-8 sebagai teks pilihan yang akan digali baik dari konteks latar belakang maupun kata-kata indikator yang berkaitan dengan Sabat. This study aims to determine, analyze and interpret the community’s awareness of the participation of the people in basic community worship. The specific target achieved was to find out the role of community awareness and participation of the people in worship of the word. The method used is the qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that communion awareness influences people's participation in the worship of the word, which is equal to 7.4 %. The awareness of communion and participation of the people becomes an important basis when people listen to the Word of God in the worship of the words of the basic community. True worship of the word requires a strong spirit of communion and active and conscious participation of the people.AbstrakMasalah kesadaran komunio terhadap tingkat partisipasi umat merupakan unsur sangat penting dalam ibadat sabda komunitas basis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, menganalisis dan menginterpretasikan tentang pentingya kesadaran komunio  terhadap partisipasi umat dalam ibadat sabda komunitas basis. The formation of Christian characters for the Alpha generation is not easy when compared to the formation of Christian characters for previous generations. Based on this, the role of parents in the formation of the Christian character of Alpha generation children is very important. The purpose of this research is to increase the role of parents in forming the Christian character of Alpha generation children, namely as educators, mentors, encouragement, supervisors, and friends so that parents of this generation can play an active role in the formation of their Christian character. Parents can pay more attention to their children's growth and development, especially in forming Christian characters based on the word of God. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review. The results of this study by observing and interviewing parents who have children born in 2010 to date show that most parents are not aware of their role as educators, mentors, encouragers, supervisors, and friends, so parents are confused about carrying out their roles towards the formation of a child's Christian character.AbstrakGenerasi Alpha adalah generasi yang sangat bergantung terhadap perangkat digital. Pembentukan karakter Kristen bagi generasi Alpha tidaklah mudah jika dibandingkan dengan pembentukan karakter Kristen generasi sebelumnya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peran orang tua dalam pembentukan karakter Kristen anak generasi Alpha sangatlah penting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah supaya peran orang tua ditingkatkan dalam pembentukkan karakter Kristen anak generasi Alpha, yaitu sebagai pendidik, peembimbing, penyemangat, pengawas, dan sahabat sehingga orangtua dari generasi tersebut bisa berperan aktif dalam pembentukan karakter Kristen mereka. Orang tua dapat lebih memperhatikan mengenai tumbuh kembang anak terutama dalam hal pembentukan karakter kristen yang berdasar pada firman Tuhan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan kajian literatur. This study uses a narrative approach with a descriptive qualitative method of the text of 2 Thessalonians 3:1-7. The study's results concluded that the principle of loyalty was found in the Bible text as the key to the success of Christian leadership according to the model that the Lord Jesus gave. The Apostle Paul explained that the basic principles for building loyalty in leadership are unconditional commitment, responsibility, and love. Loyalty will be reflected in how church leaders live life and strength as an example.AbstrakDi era saat ini, krisis kepemimpinan Indonesia semakin memprihatinkan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan semakin banyaknya kasus pelanggaran hukum dan norma masyarakat yang dilakukan para pemimpin. Dari pelbagai fakta tersebut, para pemimpin yang terlibat terdapat orang-orang Kristen, bahkan pemimpin jemaat. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan tawaran konsep kesetiaan Tuhan Yesus sesuai 2 Tesalonika 3:1-7 sebagai prinsip yang dapat dijadikan landasan bagi para pemimpin jemaat dalam menunaikan tugasnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan naratif dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif terhadap teks 2 Tesalonika 3:1-7. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pada teks Alkitab tersebut ditemukan prinsip kesetiaan sebagai kunci keberhasilan kepemimpinan Kristen sesuai model yang Tuhan Yesus berikan. Rasul Paulus menjelaskan bahwa prinsip dasar untuk membangun kesetiaan dalam kepemimpinan adalah komitmen tanpa syarat, tanggung jawab dan kasih.
