Sound contents including music pieces and sign sounds are often used in our daily life for creating common atmosphere and transmitting a certain message to everyone. The proposed method is based on parallel distributed Interactive Genetic Algorithm (IGA), which creates visual media contents commonly suited to multiple users. In this method, each of the users proceeds general IGA process by evaluating solution candidates of the IGA. As a special property of this method, in some generations, solution candidates are exchanged between the users. With the exchange, each of the users is affected by other users' feelings. It is expected that good solution evaluated as best solution by all of the users is obtained. Based on the concept of the proposed method, we constructed an IGA system for fundamentally investigating efficiencies of the proposed method. Aim of the IGA system is to create a short music melody commonly affording bright image. Key of the notes was treated as gene of IGA. Music chord progression called Canon chord is attached to the melody when it is presented to the subjects. 10 persons participated in the experiment as subjects. In the IGA system, two users participated in the evaluation process simultaneously. Experimental results showed almost continuous increase in mean and maximum fitness values between the subjects. To clarify the efficiency of the exchange of the proposed method, further study with comparing experiment including conditions with/without the exchange is needed.","PeriodicalId":336322,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE/ACIS 15th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116278974","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conventional FDTD acceleration methods using multicore CPUs and CPUs have the common problem of memory-bandwidth limitation due to a large amount of parallel data access. Although FPGAs have the potential to solve this problem, very long design, testing and debugging time is required to implement an architecture successfully. To solve this problem, we propose an FPGA architecture designed using C-like programming language called OpenCL (open computing language). Therefore, the design time is very small and extensive knowledge about hardware-design is not required. We implemented the proposed architecture on an FPGA and achieved over 114 GFLOPS of processing power. We also achieved more than 13 times and 4 times speed-up compared to CPU and GPU implementations respectively.","PeriodicalId":336322,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE/ACIS 15th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124784625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Product reviews contain subjective feelings of customers who have used some products, more and more customers browse a large number of online reviews in order to know other customers word-of-mouth of product and service to make an informed choice. Manufacturers also need accurate user feedback from product reviews to improve their goods. However, a large number of reviews made it difficult for manufacturers or potential customers to track the comments and suggestions that customers made. This paper presents a method for extracting emotional elements containing emotional objects and emotional words and their tendencies from product reviews based on mixed model. First we constructed conditional random fields (CRFs) to extract emotional elements, lead-in semantic and word meaning as features to improve the robustness of feature template and used rules for hierarchical filtering errors. Then we constructed support vector machine (SVM) to classify the emotional tendency of the fine-grained elements to achieve key information from product reviews. Deep semantic information imported based on neural network (NN) to improve the traditional bag of word model. Experimental results show that the proposed model with deep features efficiently improved the F-Measure.","PeriodicalId":336322,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE/ACIS 15th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125403714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A POV scheme enables a user or a service provider to produce a precise proof of either the occurrence of the violation of properties or the innocence of the service provider. POV schemes are solutions for obtaining mutual nonrepudiation between users and the service provider in the cloud. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first scheme that can perform availability auditing according to cryptographic proofs. Experimental results are presented that demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme. Service providers can use the proposed scheme to provide a mutual nonrepudiation guarantee for availability in their service-level agreements.","PeriodicalId":336322,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE/ACIS 15th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126437671","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study develops a network topology of an MLPNN that can be used to solve unconstrained global optimization (UGO) problems, and optimizes the weights of the MLPNN by using the IQPSO approach. To evaluate the performance of the proposed EvoMLPNN approach, a set of benchmark UGO problems was used and the numerical results obtained using the EvoMLPNN method were compared with those obtained using published algorithms. Experimental results show that the proposed EvoMLPNN method can find a global optimization solution for each test UGO problem and can solve highly dimensional UGO problems, and that the numerical results of the EvoMLPNN approach outperform to those of some published algorithms.","PeriodicalId":336322,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE/ACIS 15th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125941540","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Making use of the live streaming services is one of the low-cost methods for those who want to distribute live scenes of entertainment events for music, sports, plays, etc. However, unlike such stage performances for local audiences, remote performances on video lack bi-directional communication. In other words, they lack social feedbacks from the audiences such as applause, shouting, singing, or body actions. This should be one of the major problems of remote entertainment performances. In this talk, the speaker will define the problem, survey related work, and present his trials to give some kind of solutions. The talk will mainly focus on the social interface issues, not on the technical issues of audio/video processing or high-speed communication technologies.","PeriodicalId":336322,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE/ACIS 15th International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS)","volume":"660 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116096857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
