The converter, with a 1.4 dm3 volume and 400 cpsi channel density, features a platinum coating of 2.5 g/dm3. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) examined its surface, revealing platinum and a highly porous structure with randomly distributed Pt crystallites. Simulations were conducted using AVL Boost, utilizing real exhaust gas concentrations to assess various converter volumes and channel densities for CO, HC, and NO2 conversion in NOX. These simulations were paralleled with empirical tests on an engine dynamometer. The comparison of simulation and experimental data showed that the simulation algorithm could accurately predict the converter's performance in reducing CO and HC levels and NO2 in NOX. This suggests that simulations can partly replace costly empirical research, offering a preliminary evaluation of the converter's future effectiveness.","PeriodicalId":335030,"journal":{"name":"Eksploatacja i Niezawodność – Maintenance and Reliability","volume":"2 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139959388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under the consideration of economic and technical maturity conditions, the existing internal leakage detection methods may be difficult to achieve rapid screening. After research, the pressure decay test method is a common method of quickly testing hydraulic cylinders for internal leakage in the manufacturing industry. However, the validity of the pressure decay test method has not been theoretically verified, limiting the versatility of the method. This paper will theoretically validate the effectiveness of the pressure decay test method and provide important theoretical support for its use as a general rapid screening method for internal leakage, thereby improving the reliability and safety of hydraulic systems. Both simulation and experimental results show that there is a linear relationship between the pressure decay rate and the internal leakage rate. Especially for working pressures greater than 16 MPa, the pressure factor has an insignificant impact on the application of this method.","PeriodicalId":335030,"journal":{"name":"Eksploatacja i Niezawodność – Maintenance and Reliability","volume":"2 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139959187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, an efficient fault diagnosis model tailored for rolling bearings is proposed in this paper. The 1D vibration signals are first preprocessed using ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) to generate multiple intrinsic mode functions (IMF) as individual nodes. The percentage distance between each node is calculated using the Wasserstein distance (WD) to capture the relationships between nodes and use it as the edge weights to construct a node graph. An improved multi-head graph attention network (MGAT) model is established to extract features and perform classification on the node graph. This MGAT model effectively utilizes the relationships between nodes and enhances the accuracy of fault diagnosis. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves higher accuracy compared to similar models while requiring less processing time.","PeriodicalId":335030,"journal":{"name":"Eksploatacja i Niezawodność – Maintenance and Reliability","volume":"6 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139963012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research discusses results obtained from original experimental setups that fill a gap in the area of investigation of the mechanical response of sandwich panels used in civil engineering applications under accidental design situations such as blast wave impact and/or fragment penetration. In field experiments, a high-speed camera was used to record both the fragment trajectory and the deflection of the sandwich panel. The authors proposed the equivalent static load for both the global analysis of the sandwich panel and the calibration of the numerical model. In FE modelling, CONWEP algorithm was used to simulate blast wave impact, and ductile damage model material to allow perforation of the sandwich panel faces. The convergence of mesh size was analyzed. For the validated numerical model, an evaluation of the effect of the size of the fragment (diameter/mass) on the outlet velocity and the size of the inlet and outlet holes was carried out.","PeriodicalId":335030,"journal":{"name":"Eksploatacja i Niezawodność – Maintenance and Reliability","volume":"114 35","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139785150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
