In a limited work area, an autonomous vehicle that operates without the use of sensors and processors with high specifications can be developed. The vehicle will advance by using the trip data that has been taught previously. One of the methods of control that makes it possible to realize autonomous vehicles with a limited work area is the teaching and playback method. In this research, a remote control car is used for hardware simulation. When the car teaching mode is run via an android based remote control, while in playback mode the data stored in memory is read line-to-line to run the car. The test results produce data on the success rate of testing straight steering 80%, 60% right-turning steering, 60% left-turning steering, 70% turning right-turning steering wheel to destination 70%, and steering turning right turning left according to route and up to 60% destination.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130269074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, it is mostly in a fixed surface or is in a stationary position. Hence, the power generated by the photo-voltaic (PV) cells decreases significantly according to different variations in solar radiation throughout the day. To increase the solar power generation, this paper proposes the design and construction of a two low-cost DOF solar tracker that follows the direction of the sun with a simple construction yet great precision. The system uses a closed- loop system where the light intensity is used as a reference for comparison by the Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) as an analog input to the Arduino and as a system controller. The tracking strategy uses the LDR orientation capability which can be divided into four directions, consisting of one direction, two directions, three directions and four directions of sunlight incident to the LDR sensor. The solar tracking system used is implemented in the Pseudo-Azimuths system which rotates from east to west and from north to south. In the experiment, the comparative evaluation between the 2 DOF solar tracking system and the static solar panel system is the main point of comparison in order to find out more reliable system. From the results of the tests, the results show that the proposed method increases the efficiency of the electrical energy of PV modules with an average value of 36.2% compared to a fixed model.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"126 28","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114052800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This intelligent technique can be used for various applications. In this study, object recognition is implemented for real-time plastic waste detection and classification using YOLOv3. Six macro plastic waste classes are proposed, namely plastic bag, plastic bottle, crushed bottle, cup, cartoon, and straw. These six categories are usually among the top of our daily plastic waste. This classification of plastics waste aims to make the sorting task more efficient both at home and recycling center. Using around 1858 images and 2000 iterations during dataset training, results show that the detection achieves a good confidence value for plastic bottle and cartoon class which is 85% and 75% consecutively. Meanwhile, straw achieves 65% and the others are between 30 and 40%. This means the algorithm can detect and classify the plastic waste correctly. However, the further review of images used in the dataset in terms of item variety, angle, lighting, and image resolution, as well as increase the iteration number during the training phase, are required to gain a higher confidence value.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125660071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The segmentation process becomes a critical determinant of the success of object detection. Various methods have been developed for this image segmentation process, but there is no general solution that can be applied. Associated with object detection, the image segmentation method based on color dissimilarity turns out to be able to give good results. This segmentation method divides the image based on the dissimilarity of the values of R, G and B on the adjacent image pixels. Color is considered different if the difference in the values of R, G and B of this pixel pair produces a Delta E value whose value exceeds the threshold that is able to distinguish eyes. If this comparison shows the color dissimilarity detected, the pixel is changed to white, and the resulting image is then converted into a black-and-white image. From the resulting segmentation space, the bounding box is then made. Based on this bounding box, then the object can be detected properly. The results of object detection shown by this method are very good. The weakness of this model is not being able to detect objects that overlap one another.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121849210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The need to fulfil the demand of applications as quick and efficient as possible is the target of developers. Many services are available, but it requires a careful selection to consider and sometimes it is costly. The objective of this study is to highlight the benefits of combining Google Apps with small to medium size application development; hence could be a substitute for cloud storage on the application, especially mobile app. This study utilises a combination of free services provided by Google to form an EInvitation mobile app in Android. E-Invitation using QR Code is an android-based application which can be alternative for a traditional way of inviting people. It is made to accommodate participant registration to the distribution of certificates at the end of the event. This application combines some services that have been provided by Google such as Gmail, GForm, Spreadsheet, and App Script. Thus, users could find it easier to use because the features are popular. This application is an implementation to find out more about the function and capabilities of Google Suite services. After the application is successfully implemented according to the requirements, it is known that these Google features have beneficial functions though is rarely chosen as an alternative for app developers.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128739365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The emergence of heart disease can be fatal for sufferers. For some conclusions, arrhythmias (heart rhythm disorders) are the primary cardiovascular disease. The cardiac activity can be read through the heart's record tool. The working relationship of this tool is by installing electrodes on the body, and then the heart will give a signal due to heart electricity. After that, the device emits a heart signal. The resulting signal is conditioned and processed into an ECG signal consisting of PQRST parameters and transferred to a computer stored in a database. Data processing considers the R-R wave intervals and Heart Rate (HR), then classified using Artificial Neural Networks to produce conclusions about the results of the diagnosis in the form of examination reports. The technology platforms used are ADS 8232 and NI My-DAQ. The goal of this study is a heart record system that is designed to be able to read PQRST waves that can define the heart condition of a patient and can distinguish arrhythmia or usual irregularities. Source of electrical energy still using fossil fuels that cannot be renewed. So, to replace fossil fuels it can be used alternative energy such as solar panels. The output power of the solar panels depends on the intensity of the solar radiation received by PV and the temperature of PV. This causes voltage fluctuations so the output power is unstable. If PV is used directly to DC load, the power consumption to DC load is not optimal because the output power generated by PV is unstable. To overcome this problem, a converter is needed as a voltage stabilizer so that the load consumption can be regulated properly. In this research, it uses a Cuk converter and does not need a battery because it is directly used for DC loads so it can save investment. Cuk converter has the same character as a buck-boost converter. The output of the system are still unstable and good controls are needed to make the system stable. In this research, it is used fuzzy control to make the system output stable. The average error after the converter being controlled is 0.25%.
