Development of technology in the field of agriculture commonly called smart agriculture and based on the Internet of Things (IoT) is also rapidly expanding. The irrigation system in Indonesia is still made traditionally so it is susceptible to damage due to natural disasters or old irrigation systems. During the dry season, farmers desperately need a source of water, when farmers use diesel engines to pump water consequently it takes a greater cost and the volume of water that is blurred sometimes does not fit the needs of plants. This research aims to optimize the natural resources, especially the use of water and facilitate farmers to monitor agricultural land. This study used two sensors, namely temperature and humidity (DHT22 Module) and soil humidity (FC-28 Module). Sensors retrieving the data environment condition are then received and processed on the Raspberry Pi then stored on the cloud database. When the soil moisture condition does not match the target soil moisture value is already determined then the system will send a notification to the user via smartphone. The user can manually perform the watering action. When automatic mode is turned on, the water volume comes out based on the fuzzy logic calculation result as decision making. The results of this study were conducted at different times of morning and daytime which from the study difference time did not affect the output of water volume. During the daytime although soil moisture is more humid then the volume of water will remain according to the calculation based on the parameters of air temperature and soil moisture. Farmers can monitor and view crop conditions where the data results are visualized on web and mobile platforms.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124066728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fin is very susceptible to friction and corrosion which results in a greater possibility of cracking. Current image processing technology, allows a variety of visual-based inspection processes carried out automatically using the help of a digital camera. This research proposes a hull fracture detection system using template matching feature. Template matching was chosen because of the ease of computing offered and the simpler concept. The template matching method in this study has been successfully applied to detect cracks on the hull and bilge keel. The accuracy rate of success in this study varied by 95% for the range of limitation values at 0.9 to 0.98 and 100% at the limit value of 0.89.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115092750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In underwater acoustic networks, many messages are lost due to partial band interference that damages different parts of the received signal depending on the relative position of the interferer, source of the information, and receiver. To overcome this problem, in this study, a combination of Time Reversal (TR) precoding and the equal gain combining (EGC) scheme is proposed. TR precoding is a proven effective way to overcome intersymbol interference (ISI) with its spatial and temporal focusing property, meanwhile the EGC scheme is considered to overcome the channel fading effect. TR-EGC combination proved to be superior by 4 dB compared to the conventional TR scheme at the BER value of 0,02. Besides, in this study, the theoretical expression of BER has generated from the combination of TR and EGC (TR-EGC) precoding.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124782006","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The factor that causes Bali to become a mainstay tourist destination in Indonesia is its uniqueness in its tourism objects, both natural tourism and cultural tourism. Besides, complete tourism facilities and infrastructure also support tourism in Bali. Digital-based promotion is also a blessing and a challenge for the tourism industry. It is a blessing when tourist visits increase due to easy, cheap, and efficient access to tourist information. In this study, researchers developed a tourist attraction visualization application using marker-based Augmented Reality (AR) to promote tourism potential to attract tourists to visit. The Augmented Reality (AR) technology offered can describe real tourist objects by packaging potential tourist objects attractively, so that they can provide different experiences and education in understanding each place or tourist attraction visited. The results of system testing determine the reliability of applications made in this study using three tests, namely 99.6% functional suitability, 100% compatibility, and 90.7% usability.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"1224 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122357409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If the density is high, dilution is needed, whereas if the density is low, additional nutrients are needed. So far, nutrient concentration monitoring has been carried out using a Total Dissolve Solid (TDS) measuring instrument and done manually. So that if there is a delay, lack or excess of nutrition and water, it will result in not optimal plant growth. The control system uses a controller based on fuzzy logic with the Sugeno method. The input of the controller is error and delta error, while the output of the controller will adjust the angle of the servo motor that drives the nutrient and water valve openings. The test results with an initial concentration value of 400 ppm (below the set point) obtained a settling time at 138 seconds, while the set point was reached at 157 seconds where the output value was 601.26 ppm. For testing with an initial concentration value of 700 ppm (above the set point), the settling time was obtained at 76 seconds and the set point was reached at 143 seconds, namely 601.45 ppm. This study applies transfer learning techniques by classifying the nighttime light intensity from satellite imagery with the highest accuracy result of 0.6572 and predicting the village development index. This study produces a model with an R2 of 0.5. With the combination of the lithography, which depends on the aversion of oil and water, this technique produces a flat accurate image representation. One of the leading problems for offset printing industries are the spoilages. Spoilages greatly reduce profits due to the unsold rejected products that were produced. With corporations innovating new ways to improve their operations, this study will use an artificial neural network to analyze and predict the spoilage output per job run based on the inputs, ink quality, machine grade, design complexity, and raw material quality. The platform that is used is MATLAB. This software has great neural network capabilities that are widely used around the globe by leading data scientists. Data is obtained in excel format from the company that the researcher has come in contact with. The company has agreed to share some data as long as some of the information such as suppliers and brands that are serviced are not disclosed. The undisclosed information is not significant for the neural network; therefore, the data is sufficient enough to work on. With the results gathered and analyzed from the neural network system, it can be concluded that this research has been able to predict the spoilage output of a job run to a certain extent due to limited data. Recommendations, however, include a better standardization for the inputs, and more data gathered for the database in order to obtain more accurate results.","PeriodicalId":334854,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (iCAST)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131018346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
