In such cases, dual hesitant fuzzy sets are usually utilized to represent the assessments of the decision organization. Since entropy is a very important tool to measure the uncertainty of information, this paper investigates the entropy models on dual hesitant fuzzy information. Firstly, we introduce some axiomatic requirements that a dual hesitant fuzzy entropy measure should satisfy. Then we discuss the construction of dual hesitant fuzzy entropy measures and present several entropy formulas with the help of some simple functions. At length, an illustrative example is given to validate the practicality and effectiveness of the developed entropy measures.","PeriodicalId":334733,"journal":{"name":"2015 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132672920","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such computations can be made parallel on GPU cores using Compute Unified Design Architecture (CUDA) platform. In this paper, various operations of GA such as fitness evaluation, selection, crossover and mutation, etc. Are implemented in parallel on GPU cores and then performance is compared with its serial implementation. The algorithm performance in serial and in parallel implementations are examined on a test bed of well-known benchmark optimization functions. The performances are analyzed with varying parameters viz. (i)population sizes, (ii) dimensional sizes, and (iii) problems of differing complexities. Results shows that the overall computational time can substantially be decreased by parallel implementation on GPU cores. The proposed implementations resulted in 1.18 to 4.15 times faster than the corresponding serial implementation on CPU.","PeriodicalId":334733,"journal":{"name":"2015 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121887618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are numerous of clustering techniques in data mining works efficiently for low dimensional data and fails to handle high dimensional data. In this paper we evaluated the performance efficiency of K-means and Agglomerative hierarchical clustering methods based on Euclidean and Manhattan distance functions for high dimensional data by varying cluster values. Efficiency concerns the computational time required to build up datasets. Based on experimental work we examined that in both case of distance functions Agglomerative clustering method is efficient in time than K-means clustering algorithm on dataset, which we use for empirical study.","PeriodicalId":334733,"journal":{"name":"2015 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121893481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this design, the system is segmented into multiple clusters, each representing a Wireless node, and controlled by a 'core', which is an independent microcontroller based local system. To demonstrate our system, we have developed a design consisting of two clusters viz. 'critical' and 'non-critical' clusters each consisting of sensors with varying priorities in the fault diagnostic process. With this paper, we try to present the work done in the partial development of the said system. The paper outlines and details the development of the non critical cluster consisting of a single sensor which is RPM sensor, and its successful implementation as a fault diagnostic module.","PeriodicalId":334733,"journal":{"name":"2015 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125856811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conventional methods such as remote controllers or wearables cannot cater the high demands in some scenarios. To overcome this situation, the challenge is to develop vision-based gesture recognition techniques. This paper describes our work of controlling an Arduino based wheeled, one armed robot, used as a prototype, controlled through various gestures of the arms and legs. For gesture recognition, we make use of skeletal tracing ability of Kinect -- a product of Microsoft. Bluetooth is used to make the controls wireless. Since it is not line of sight operation, the robot also captures the environment video and transmits it over radio frequency in real-time and displayed on the screen. On the user end, according to the received video, the operator guides the robot and uses the arm to pick and place objects with the help of predetermined gestures.","PeriodicalId":334733,"journal":{"name":"2015 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128889260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent years have seen massive initiatives from all sides for using inclusive technology in catering public services. Several ventures like 'digital India' have been taken to improve the inbuilt technology in different governance systems. But ageing systems and isolated service-domains with voluminous structures have turned this task herculean. Biometric authentication and UID-based services come up in this scenario with an effort in simplifying the manner in which services are catered to the citizens. Though the Aadhaar project in India has been functioning in full vigor since its very inception, the service domains stay somewhat confined within specific areas. The authors have tried to extend this UID service domain to different potential sectors for catering smart services on one hand. The areas proposed cover transports, banking and even voting models. Biometric authentication on the other hand, is proposed as an alternative verification and authentication mechanism in these extended sectors. Unleashing its robustness and simplicity, biometric authentication techniques could be used to wipe out the chances of corruption in different aspects by proffering comprehensive linked-up security. Such verification and authentication mechanisms clubbed with the UID-based services would turn the existing systems smart besides opening up the foundation of ubiquitous services in India. The authors have also conducted a survey to understand the digital preparedness of the mass in accepting biometric techniques. The reports responded positive portraying the dire need of implementing interlinked ubiquitous services which could be made more robust, secured and seamless with the use of biometric authentication mechanisms.","PeriodicalId":334733,"journal":{"name":"2015 Fifth International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies","volume":"342 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132268563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
