The research methodology is based on the application of art history, comparative and semiotic analysis. The novelty of the research is to identify the functioning of the Crimean Tatar ornament in modern times, to determine special symbolic and graphic structures in the visual system Ornek, which allow not only to develop in modern Crimean culture but also show the high communicative ability to establish a cross-cultural dialogue. Conclusions. The study of Crimean Tatar ornament in modern art and design testifies to its high ability to adapt to new conditions, which allows us to talk about the flexibility of its visual system. Research methodolo­gy. To carry out this study, we used the empirical method of collecting factual material, analysis, comparison, and generalization methods. The principal source of analytics is designers’ Insta­gram pages as factual material. The scientific novelty of the study consists in a comparative analysis of graphic designers’ communicative images on Instagram pages, based on which, for the first time, an attempt was made to sys­tematize communicative contact strategies with subscribers. There are four possible ap­proaches to creating the communicative image of the designer, which, however, do not exhaust the entire range of options. Conclusions. The communicative image use for communication on social networking pages is a reasonable and effective method of a designer’s professional development, as the number of subscribers on such pages is much bigger and reaches several hundred thousand active subscribers. \u0000The design of social communication by de­signers with their audience is contained in the planning of the strategy of the communication process as a whole, the tactics of individual com­munication acts (posts), the allocation of several types of content, and their rhythmic alternation and design. The research methodology is based on the use of combined, thematic and chronological approaches; description of publications is combined with comparative and comparative analyzes. The scientific novelty of the article is to highlight the initial stage of formation of ideas about the unique features of Ukrainian architecture in the context of public demand and the leading trends of the general artistic process of this period. The factors of growing attention of scientists of the specified decade to the systematic study of buildings of Ukraine from ancient times to the XIX century, in particular, wooden cult. The works of famous specialists of those years are described: G. Pavlutsky, E. Redin, O. Novitsky, V. Shcherbakovsky, M. Makarenko, E. Sitsinsky and other authors. The study of this problem in these scientific works is based on the analysis of numerous information as a result of systematic work of many scientists and amateurs on the study of architectural works. Researchers’ scientific ideas on the evolution of forms of this field of art and substantiation of the uniqueness of Ukrainian architecture are determined. Conclusions. Analysis of numerous sources of scientific publications allows us to conclude that during the 1900’s there was a concept of originality of national architectural forms at all historical stages. Scientific analysis of the characteristic features of Ukrainian architectural monuments of different periods was carried out in the perspective of the relationship with the masonry architecture and the relevant decisions of other historical and national architectural schools. The history of Ukrainian science of art of this decade can be considered as the history of ideas about national forms of art and architecture. Therefore, the study of its phenomenon within the system of ethnocultural values as a significant component of culture is a highly topical issue, since design impacts the shaping of both the individual and the people’s thought pattern. The purpose of the article is to highlight the issue of national self-identification in the age of globalization and to define ethno-design as a form of influence on cultural and artistic advancement of Ukraine. The research methodology applies historical, analytical and structural methods, as well as semiotic principle. The scientific novelty is to provide profound inquiry of ethno-design as one of the leading carriers of the symbolic code of ethnical art identity. The ethnical tradition is considered to be an important culture category with which the style category is also associated, and an integrated approach in design directs the development of the modern project process in Ukraine. Conclusions. The article proves that the globalized competitive expansion applies new requirements to products, which should both be of high quality and present the national identity of the country of origin. It is an option if we approach traditional art as a crucial factor to unite society. The modern concepts of the design development national features have been singled out. There are regional, national and international components, as well as a combination of traditional and innovative. Thus, modern national features consist of traditions combined with national innovation. It is noted that in the contemporary world the designer becomes an intermediary between the person and the informative environment; the one is a creator of not only the object but also synthesises the values of different periods, styles of life, individual and social views, reinterprets the value of the object that human has consumed.
