This survey study with a quantitative approach was analyzed using a comparative model. The subjects were 120 parents and students of public and private elementary schools in Yogyakarta chosen by purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and Likert scale tests with the PKES application and analyzed by t-test. It reveals that state elementary school students' emotional and social intelligence emphasizes the psychomotor aspect or good behavior with the habituation method. Meanwhile, private elementary school students emphasize the cognitive aspect of character knowledge through the lecture method. The affective aspect of social-emotional intelligence in public and private elementary schools is still low. Students have not been trained to feel the good character impact with various methods, so good behavior will not last until they are old because it has not been embedded in their hearts. Different tests with t-test obtained 0.378>0.05, so the difference is insignificant. The emotional and social intelligence of public and private elementary school children during the pandemic is not much different. Because students study at home during the pandemic, their character is more influenced by parents than teachers. It implies that parents and teachers should more often train students to feel happy doing good deeds, so good character is embedded in the heart and lasts for a long time.","PeriodicalId":33364,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90415699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Self-evaluation in psychology is called self-introspection, which means self-correction, while in Islam, it is called muḥāsabah or muḥāsabah al-nafṣ. Muḥāsabah, in the person of a Muslim in particular, is an attempt to count and evaluate himself, how many sins he has committed and what good he has not done. This study is qualitative research under the literature study method, which focuses on the question of self-evolution from the perspective of surah Al-Isra verse 14. The data source comes from the ministry of religious affairs' translation of the Qur'an, and books related to self-evaluation contain self-evaluation from surah Al-Isra' verse 14. Data were analyzed using the qualitative data analysis method. Self-evaluation in QS Al-Isra': 14refers to the word al-ḥisāb, if an evaluation may be done by oneself on all the deeds that have been done. Explaining this, in surah Al-Isrā'a verse 14, Allah evaluates His creatures on the day of reckoning (the trial of the Hereafter). Therefore it is a man who is commanded to judge his own deeds. Suppose it is associated with the point of evaluation of education. In that case, the meaning of al-ḥisāb indicates that the assessment results depend on the intensity of the subject in completing the exam question. Therefore, the task of educators is to motivate the subject of the learner to learn and maximum when completing the exam question seriously.","PeriodicalId":33364,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75206231","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The COVID pandemic period requires every educational institution, especially universities, to carry out online learning. This influences the performance of lecturers in the online learning process, especially the implementation of hybrid learning at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the implementation of hybrid learning at UNY; (2) know the hybrid learning lecture model carried out at UNY; (3) describe the results of hybrid learning evaluation. This research is an evaluation study with a mixed-method approach that is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative. The evaluation model selected is the CIPP model from Stufflebeam. This model was chosen because the evaluation is comprehensive, including (1) context, (2) input, (3) process, and (4) product. The results show that the hybrid learning evaluation model developed through the instrument already met an excellent construct of loading factor values and had a composite reliability score above 0.7 and Cronbach alpha above 0.6. Implementation of difficulties or obstacles to hybrid learning includes heterogeneity of origin of student residence to make the emergence of internet network signal problems. In comparison, the problem of lecturers is that not all lecturers have skills for technology and media in the implementation of hybrid learning. The results of hybrid learning evaluation showed that the value of context, input, process, and product aspects fall into the category of \"excellent,\" i.e., with a total average score of 3.05.","PeriodicalId":33364,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan","volume":"29 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77654357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A goal-oriented evaluation model by Tyler was employed in the evaluation process to measure how far the learning goals that have been determined at the beginning of the lecture are achieved. This evaluative research relied on a quantitative descriptive approach; its steps comprised (1) data collection, (2) data processing and analysis, and (3) recommendation formulation. According to the evaluation results, the learning goals of Nihongo Noryoku Shiken N5 had been met, although it was not that significant. Several conditions cause such issues. (1) In the class, some students had good Japanese language skills; they claimed that the lesson was too easy, so their progress was not significant. (2) The evaluation instruments were not valid. (3) Other conditions, e.g., the implementation of online learning and tests, hindered classroom activities and monitoring. Improving the teaching and learning materials and evaluation instruments is recommended. Furthermore, some additions to the curriculum need to be considered, such as adding the credits for the grammar or Bunpo course.","PeriodicalId":33364,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79076404","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A part of this admission selection is the test called the Computer-Based Academic Potential Test. This study aims to evaluate, from a psychometric perspective, the psychometric properties of the potential academic test. The approach used in this study is the item response theory (IRT) framework, which is mostly used for evaluating psychometric quality at both item-level and test levels. This study's IRT model is a two-parameter logistic model that includes difficulty parameter and discrimination parameter. The result of this study exhibited that the three subtests of the Computer-Based Academic Potential Test, in general, have satisfying results from the 2PL model estimation. The result also showed that most of the item difficulties ranged from medium to very difficult.","PeriodicalId":33364,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan","volume":"21 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83213191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
