Consequently, the power construction project is the project of high risk, without any doubt. This thesis analyses the risk factors in the power construction projects with making the assessment of the power construction projects via both Monte Carlo simulation method and its application software of crystal ball, contributing project decision-making evidence to the program.","PeriodicalId":333255,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Future BioMedical Information Engineering (FBIE)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116947577","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Non-invasive diagnostic modalities are preferable over biopsy. However, these non-invasive diagnostic techniques have lower diagnostic accuracy when compared to biopsy. Currently, CAD (Computer-Aided Diagnosis) techniques have demonstrated strong potential to increase the accuracy of such non-invasive diagnostic modalities. This paper proposes the use of boosting to increase the accuracy of CAD-based techniques to solve the breast cancer characterization problem. It investigates and compares the performance of popular variants of the boosting algorithms, namely: AdaBoosting, AveBoosting, GentleBoosting, ConserBoosting, and Average Conservative Boosting and their suitability for the breast cancer tumor characterization problem. This work also proposes a hybrid boosting algorithm that combines the advantages of several boosting techniques. The results of applying the different boosting techniques investigated on real breast cancer benchmarks show that the hybrid boosting algorithm outperforms the other boosting techniques on average by 48%.","PeriodicalId":333255,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Future BioMedical Information Engineering (FBIE)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115402826","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We developed an illumination system to control light sensitive cytoactive based on optogenetic technology. A NE555 driven circuit was utilized to control the high-intensity of a blue or yellow light-emitting diode (LED). The optical wavelength is about 470nm for the blue LED and 590nm for the yellow LED. First, the proper optical region shape is determined either by Munnerlyn equations or wavefront techniques. Second, a blend region may optionally be applied. The area of the ablation zone is equal to a maximum possible pupil size of the eye. Third, the depth of the ablation shape at the outer edge of the optical region is calculated. The blend zone may have an optical power that diminishes as a nonlinear function of increasing radius, the blend zone terminating at an ablation zone edge. The model is particularly useful for enhancing the accuracy and efficacy of laser eye surgical procedures and providing enhanced refractive procedures by improving the methodology for deriving a corneal ablation profile.","PeriodicalId":333255,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Future BioMedical Information Engineering (FBIE)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126878575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
