The study adopted the endogenous growth model on which magnitude and fluidity of securities were deemed to be the main drivers of the economy. The ordinary least squares regression technique was applied as the main method of analysis and as the maximum likelihood estimator. The findings of the study showed that securities exchange has blended impacts on economic expansion. It was observed that the market size (market capitalisation) and foreign direct investment (FDI) have a significant positive impact on the economic growth.

The present work seeks to analyze the energy consumption evolution of different countries of the world and the relation of the same with the level of economic development, represented by income. For this purpose, an annual database containing gross domestic product and electricity consumption of 143 countries in the period between 1990 and 2014 was prepared. Thus, linear regression models and autoregressive vector models were used to explain the electricity consumption of countries and groups of countries. The results indicated that there is no standard elasticity behavior for most countries with similar levels of economic development. Despite this, a good performance was observed in the simple linear regression for aggregate data in groups of countries, which indicates the possibility of performing a reliable aggregate planning. \u0000Keywords: Electricity Demand, Energy Consumption, Income, GDP, Elasticity.

The Auto regressive lag distributive (ARDL) model is applied to find out the correlation between the variables. The short run elasticity shows that CO2 emission, fossil fuel and hydro energy consumption decreases Pakistan’s economic growth, while nuclear energy consumption and electric power consumption substantially increases GDP per capita of the country. In the long run, nuclear energy consumption and electric power generation support country’s economic growth, which need more friendly environmental policies to reduce high mass carbon emissions in a country. \u0000

It endeavours to expand the social-psychological behavioural model which is the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) by adding the determinants of environmental knowledge, environmental concern, the respondents’ gender, age group, ethnicity, marital status and education level to predict the public’s behavioural intention to engage in NRW reduction practices. A self-structured questionnaire with face-to-face interview was employed to gather responses from 800 citizens who are currently living in the state of Selangor, the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, and Johor. Following the subsequent hierarchical linear regression models, the final model has explained 51.3% of the variance in behavioural intention to take part in NRW reduction practices. The study’s findings identify that the factors of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control, environmental knowledge, environmental concern, and gender significantly influence the NRW reduction intention. Moreover, the study reveals that ethnicity and education differences have significant influences on the expanded TPB in terms of NRW reduction. This study furthers to the present theory and experience by offering advantageous perception about the application of environmental knowledge and environmental concern on the public’s NRW reduction intention. \u0000

Therefore, the paper examines the effect of access to fertilizer and extension services infrastructures and improved rice seed on the productivity of rice farmers as well as identify their level productivity in the Kadawa rice cluster. A five Likert structured questionnaire randomly administered to a sample of 80 rice farmers in the 2018 crop season. The Cobb-Douglas stochastic frontier production model was used to analyze the data. The descriptive result shows that males (83.3%) dominated rice farming. The economically active age group are 53%, the married group are 65.2%, those with at least six years of experience in rice farming are 74.2%, and 22.7% attained tertiary education. Further, the stochastic frontier result shows that improve rice seed and extension services positively affect rice production, while fertilizer negatively affects rice production. Further, the result shows that years of experience in rice farming reduces technical inefficiency. While qualification, age, and marital status reduce rice production. Therefore, the study recommends the provision of educational facilities for quality education. Expanding extension workers’ services to farmers, since one visit per crop season seems to be not enough to offer the necessary information to farmers. Finally, to attract experienced, educated young married farmers to partake in rice cultivation in the study area.

One of the steps of the Banjarbaru City Inspectorates to realize Good Corporate Governance is through the transparency of performance accountability of government agencies in managing regional finances, most of which are funded by public funds. Performance accountability of government agencies presents budget allocations and realization for implementing key tasks in achieving performance indicators. The achievement of this performance indicator can be accounted for and realized through a performance-based budget. However, in its implementation, supervision, control, responsibility and assessment of performance accountability of government agencies is needed. This is where the role of the Internal Control System is in charge of carrying out oversight of the running of the government and the management of financial areas that are clean and responsible. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the Performance Based Budget and Internal Control System had an effect on the Performance Accountability of Government Agencies at Banjarbaru City Inspectorates. The sample used amounted to 39 respondents. The sampling technique is prurposive sampling. The analytical method used in this study is multiple regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the budget, budget reporting, control activities and monitoring (supervision) has an influence on Performance Accountability of Government Agencies . Budget planning, performance evaluation, control environment, risk assessment, information and communication have no effect on Performance Accountability of Government Agencies.

Export policy refers to the government regulation that mining companies must carry out mineral processing in Indonesia before export is carried out. This study compares the value of mining companies before, during, and after the regulation is applied which is analyzed using market performance and accounting performance. The mining companies are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2011-2017 that has criteria according to UU No.4 Tahun 2009. This study used purposive sampling which had a population of 49 companies with the sampel of 20 companies. The data were processed by using Friedman and wilcoxon analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a difference in the value of the company due to the policy applied to decrease the value of the company. The decline in the value of the company occurred after the government imposed government regulation No.1 Tahun 2014, after the government regulation was not implemented the value of the company gradually improved. The result of this study shows that the value of Market Performance that has chi square 6.100(p=0.047) is significant. Meanwhile, the result is not siqnificant for the accounting performance based on DER has chi square 1.300(p=0.500). The results are significant for ROA which has chi square 14.700 (p=0.001), chi square of ROE is 15.600 (p=0,000) and chi square of ROI is 14.800 (p=0.000).

As such, over 4mm/t of milled paddy rice has to be imported annually into Nigeria to supplement home production. The economy cannot sustain rice import because it depends on crude oil revenue; thus, leading to scarcity of rice at an exorbitant price. The study was conducted in the 2018 cropping season for rainfed and irrigated paddy rice, to identify the impact of rural infrastructure on the productivity of rice farmers in Kano State, Nigeria. There are seven local governments with 17 rice clusters in the state that are cultivating rice. A random sample of 768 rice farmers was selected in 9 rice clusters from the population of 135,895 rice farmers using multistage and purposive sampling. Using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software version 22, data screening and preliminary analysis was conducted, aimed at satisfying the assumptions of the multivariate analysis. Thus, missing data analysis was performed to identify univariate outliers and multivariate outliers. Likewise, normality skewness and kurtosis, as well as multicollinearity issues, were checked. The preliminary analysis indicates that the data fulfil the conditions of multivariate analysis, thus, suitable for inferences.
