The research was carried out by using the phenomenological research, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The participants of the study was formed by using the criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. The participants were 6 inservice science teachers working in the western part of Turkey. In present study, the interview form, developed by the researcherswere used as data collection tools. The data obtained from the research were transcribed. Written documents obtained were analyzed mature by content analysis in accordance with the qualitative research philosophy. As a result of the research, it has been observed that science teachers have different ideas about what SSI mean and have difficulties to get out of certain subjects in giving examples to SSI. When the place of SSI in science education was examined, it was found that the science teachers' opinions about the inclusion of SSI in science teaching is positive. It was seen that the participants had difficulty in giving examples to SSI that should not be discussed in the classroom. The research group consists of 10 Turkish language teachers working in secondary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Trabzon. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview form. In the first part of the interview form, there are three questions for identifying teachers, and in the second part, there are eleven questions for determining teachers' visual reading skills. All of the teachers in the study group participated in the study voluntarily. One of the application that used in strategy instruction is the \"Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD)\" model which developed by Harris and Graham. This model, which was developed for the development of writing skills and applied to students with more learning disabilities, has started to be applied over time with reading skills and students without any disabilities. Since the use of the model in the reading area is new, information about the model should be revealed in detail. For this reason, it is aimed to describe in detail the usage of the SRSD model in the teaching of comprehension. Design/Methodology/Approach: The document examination method from qualitative research methods was used in the research. Findings: As a result, it was found that SRSD model was used to develop different skills with different groups. It has been seen that the SRSD model was used in literary works to improve writing, reading, metacognition, and mathematics skills. Despite the fact that SRSD has been addressed with an increasing number of studies abroad in the field of strategy teachings, the finding that there is not much work on this area in Turkey. Highlights: This model, which was originally developed for teaching writing, has been applied in the field of reading in recent years. It is a model that allows students to control their own reading comprehension process. {"title":"Fen Bilimleri Öğretmenlerinin Mesleki ve Bilimsel Tutumlarının İncelenmesi","authors":"Serpil KARAALİOĞLU ÇAKIR, Cansel Kadıoğlu Akbulut","doi":"10.24106/kefdergi.919394","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24106/kefdergi.919394","url":null,"abstract":"Çalışmanın amacı: Bu çalışmanın amacı fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin mesleklerine yönelik ve bilimsel tutumlarının hangi düzeyde olduğunu, incelenen tutum değişkenlerinin cinsiyet açısından nasıl değiştiğini ve her iki değişken arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. \u0000Materyal ve Yöntem: Nicel araştırma yaklaşımına dayalı tarama modeli kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmaya devlet ortaokullarında görev yapan 174 (91 kadın ve 83 erkek) fen bilimleri öğretmeni katılmıştır. Veriler “Öğretmenlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” ile “Bilimsel Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Ayrıca nicel bulguları desteklemek için “Demografik Bilgi Formu” kullanılarak nitel veriler toplanmıştır. Nicel verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistikler, bağımsız örneklemler t-testi ve Pearson korelasyon analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Ek olarak, nitel verilerin analizinde betimsel analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. \u0000Bulgular: Araştırmanın sonucunda fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin mesleklerine yönelik yüksek düzeyde olumlu tutuma sahip oldukları ve bilimsel tutumlarının orta seviyede olduğu görülmüştür. Kadın öğretmenlerin mesleklerine yönelik tutumlarının daha olumlu olduğu bulunurken, öğretmenlerin bilimsel tutumları cinsiyet değişkeni açısından değişiklik göstermemiştir. İki tutum değişkeni arasında orta düzeyde ve pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin mesleği seçme nedenleri ağırlıklı olarak öğretmeyi sevme gibi duyuşsal özellikleri içermektedir. Ayrıca katılımcıların hizmetiçi eğitimlere katılım oranının yüksek olduğu ancak bilimin doğası, bilim tarihi ya da felsefesi gibi bilimsel tutumlarını geliştirmeye yönelik eğitimler almadıkları görülmüştür. Son olarak, TÜBİTAK yayınlarının fen bilimleri öğretmenleri arasında popüler olduğu bulunmuştur. \u0000Önemli Vurgular: Fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin mesleklerine yönelik tutumları olumlu olmasına rağmen bilimsel tutumlarının orta seviyede olduğu bulunmuştur. Bilişim Çağı’nda öğretmenlerin bilimsel tutumları, mesleki tutumları kadar önemli bir yere sahiptir.
