It should start at the stage of upbringing in the family home and then evolve with the help of educational facilities and their accompanying institutions, among which the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland should be mentioned in particular.\u0000It is important to note that care for the creation of a reliable security system rests not only with an institution such as the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and other uniformed services, but also with every citizen of the Polish state – in accordance with the law in force. Proper development of defensive awareness would not be possible if it were not for close cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and the education sector.\u0000This is evidenced by the results of a pilot study, presented in the follow-ing article, conducted in the form of a questionnaire among eighth-grade students of the Henryk Sienkiewicz Primary School in Siedlce, as well as students of two third-grade classes with the military profile, at the European Secondary School of Uniformed Services in Wrocław. Their main objective was to show the degree of defence awareness formation among children and young people, using specific methods and institutions that have a direct impact on this process. As it was shown – as a result of the research analysis – a group of respondents, regardless of the knowledge they already have, want to continue to deepen it. This means that specific projects need to be created which in cooperation with many pro-defence organisations have a direct impact on shaping the security of the Polish state through working with its youngest citizens\u0000\u0000

Due to the nature of the threat, which has primarily affected the healthcare system, the critical role of the military healthcare system in supporting the general healthcare system is presented. The first part of the study is a description of the powers and resources subordinate to the Minister of Defense assigned to assist the civilian healthcare sys-tem with regards to transport of medical products by air and land. The second part of the paper is a presentation of Polish military medical missions to Italy, Slovenia, and the United States, while the third part shows how the experience gained during the missions was used in Po-land, within the healthcare system, in the crisis conditions. More-over, in the third part of the paper, the role that military hospitals and univer-sities played in the fight against Covid-19 is emphasised, particularly the involvement of cadets from military universities in easing the burden on medical personnel and gaining valuable experience by the future members of the Polish Armed Forces. The fourth part of the study is entirely dedicated to the activities of the Territorial Defense Forces as part of the action “Resilient Spring”.\u0000\u0000

These are mainly the dangers of using information networks and information systems. For this reason, particular importance is given to ensuring information security which combines procedures and tools for the protection of classified information, data and network systems. Information security has now become one of the most sensitive trans-sectoral areas of national security, having an impact on the efficiency of Poland’s entire security system. This is about information security, ICT security and cybersecurity.\u0000The paper aims to analyse the issue of information security as part of the security area of the Republic of Poland. The issue was raised because of its importance and topicality, as recently there has been an increase in cyber-terrorist activity and a growing number of media reports on attacks on information systems, targeting the critical infrastructure of states. Information security risks pose a real threat and loss of information can lead to a violation of the vital interests of various entities and a compromise of people’s safety and fundamental values of social life.\u0000\u0000

The study found that the military intervention that took the shape of an e-memorandum of 27 April 2007 was a form of veto coup that is often used by the guardian-type military. In this paper, the subjects of direct non-violent intervention, their methods, as well as negative consequences for the military environment have been identified. The presented analysis of modern forms of praetorianism focuses on such forms of indirect actions of the military in which it is difficult to identify the interests of the military or see an increase in its political influence.

It is the smallest country in Europe that shares a border with Russia – a nation with which Estonia shares a common history with a negative outcome, and contemporary relations leave much to be desired. It is a country aware of its limited capabilities, which does not mean that it is passively waiting for the situation to develop. Through its policy, it is constantly striving to shape the security environment, both within its borders and in the Baltic Sea region. The introduction discusses the concept, role, and place of technical engineering, and the general methodological framework applied in it. It emphasises the strong links between the scientific theoretical foundations of technical engineering and engineering practice, which stem chiefly from societal needs and utilitarian passions of many researchers involved in the creative art of engineering. The following section presents technical and technological assumptions and practical achievements of selected categories of technical engineering, such as: civil, water, military, mechanical, electrical, process, materials, and extreme engineering.
