In the course of hostilities, both sides deployed missile troops and artillery, which became essential means of fire support for ground troops due to restrictions in the use of air force and army aviaton. The aim of the article is to present the potential, tasks and tactics of the field artillery used in the Ukrainian war in the years 2022-2023. The subject of research is missile troops and artillery of the combatants. Primarily their organisation, armament, tasks and tactical assumptions. The author formulated the following questions: What was the combat potential of the warring parties’ artillery at the beginning and during the conflict? What tasks are set for the artillery in the ongoing war? What tactics are used by the artillery of the warring parties in response to changing conditions during the war? The author, as a long-term theoretician and practitioner of field artillery, based the analyses made largely on his own observations and conclusions, which he formulated during many years of scientific research and participation in military exercises involving artillery, interviews with Ukrainian officers, as well as the latest studies and documents issued by opinion-forming research centres.This study is the first part of the work which presents the combat potential, tasks and tactics of the artillery of Ukraine and the Russian Federation. In the second part the use of the artillery in individual phases of the war and the changes that occurred as a result of the combat experience obtained will be presented.","PeriodicalId":33134,"journal":{"name":"Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces","volume":"115 32","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139134258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the exchange of information between elements of crisis management is carried out using the telecommunications system. Thanks to the use of remote sensing, it is possible to exchange data, and build information about the crisis phenomenon on its basis. The responsibility for the protection of information resources is incumbent on heads of municipalities, mayors of cities or marshals of voivodeships (provinces) collecting and processing data in order to carry out the tasks of their subordinate offices. One of the elements of the crisis situation will be a cyberattack carried out against the IT infrastructure of the office in order to hinder or prevent it from performing its tasks. Such incidents have taken place in Poland. Of interest is the issue of managing an incident which directly affects a given office. The article presents an analysis of the cases of cyberattacks described in the media. The paper demonstrates passive reconnaissance methods used by cybercriminals.","PeriodicalId":33134,"journal":{"name":"Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135485548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This hypothesis is tested by analyzing individual solutions introduced by the government of Kiriakos Mitsotakis in the period 2019-2021, partially taking into account 2022. The conclusions indicate that the state can effectively reduce the migratory pressure and irregular inflow of migrants by undertaking specific legislative actions and active border protection. The effects of the Greek government’s actions were already visible in 2020, and their proof was not only the lower number of migrants, but also the redirection of the migration route towards Italy and Cyprus. The article contributes to research on contemporary, irregular migration to the European Union and indicates the possibilities that the country of first entry has at its disposal in order to reduce high migratory pressure.","PeriodicalId":33134,"journal":{"name":"Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135485546","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In modern times, national security should be understood as one of the basic areas of the functioning of the state, not only aimed at ensuring the possibility of survival, but above all enabling the development and freedom of pursuing national interests in a specific security environment by taking up challenges, taking advantage of opportunities, reducing risks and counteracting all kinds of threats to its interests, especially in crisis situations.Crisis management includes activities in all phases: prevention, preparation, response, reconstruction. All possible management tools should be used so that in the event of a crisis, people in charge could make the right decisions. The errors that were made in crisis situations exposed the accumulation of problems in medical facilities. They should only be used for further planning and finding solutions to avoid them. The coronavirus pandemic showed in many areas of life that managing such emergencies is not easy. Management in medical facilities was particularly difficult. Research conducted in Greater Poland Province (in hospitals) on the issue of disinformation highlighted some problems that occurred during the process of management during the COVID-19 pandemic. Observations were carried out during the pandemic among the medical staff working in medical facilities dealing only with patients infected with the SARS-Cov-2 virus. The article below contains information about the research sample, as well as the reasons for using disinformation as a tool for carrying out purposeful actions (e.g. concealment of information, fatigue and frustration, insufficient remuneration, economic savings, etc.) Conclusions were also drawn indicating the short-term and long-term effects of the use of disinformation for a given organization (e.g. fatigue, stress, arguments or quarrels inside a team, deterioration in the quality of care). Finally, proposals for solving future problems in this area (employee motivation, treating employees as a “resource” of the organization, preventing chaos, managerial staff education, employing competent people as managers) were specified.","PeriodicalId":33134,"journal":{"name":"Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135485544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Until the end of the 1980s, the Alliance was preoccupied with Cold War confrontation. In the 1990s, the geopolitical and geostrategic situation shifted. New countries joined the Alliance, and interest in environmental protection increased globally. The Pact member states began to realise the importance of environmental security. New concepts and trends emerged. Appreciating the importance of environmental protection, NATO quickly joined the mainstream of scientific research and practical projects. Their goal was, and is, to understand the causes of environmental degradation and its implications, especially in the context of safety, and to take appropriate remedial measures. NATO has been facing environmental security challenges for many years. This includes climate change, extreme weather conditions, sea level rise, risk of flooding, depletion of natural resources, land degradation, desertification and pollution. These are factors that can ultimately lead to humanitarian disasters, regional tension and violence. NATOs latest 2030 Strategic Concept highlights the security impact of climate change resulting from a lack of proper environmental protection as the Alliances primary focus.At a time of progressive environmental threat, accompanied by rapid climate change, the activities of the Alliance in the field of ensuring environmental security cannot be overestimated.","PeriodicalId":33134,"journal":{"name":"Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46764068","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The effectiveness of soldiers actions depends on many factors, which are an important research areas in terms of health, the psychology of stress and personal security.The quality of professional performance is influenced by external factors as well as and personality. An important requirement is resistance to stress-inducing stimuli and the ability to use adaptive ways of coping with stress. Increased mental resilience enables the individual to function better under pressure in a rapidly changing environment hence the need for individuals to be aware of their ability to cope with stress.
