Desde esta perspectiva el artículo propone un análisis de lo que se denominó “nueva sensibilidad”, haciendo foco en la vida y obra literaria de César Vallejo, uno de los escritores que mejor expresó el derrotero –intelectual y artístico– de las vanguardias latinoamericanas. En este sentido el artículo analiza los dilemas y debates que se desarrollaron entre los movimientos de vanguardia en Latinoamérica durante los años veinte del siglo pasado en torno al estatuto del arte, la poesía y el rol del escritor. El interés por César Vallejo es el de rescatar a una de las figuras más importantes de la literatura latinoamericana de los años veinte, para indagar en su poesía y narrativa, pero también en el terreno de la vida cotidiana del autor, su militancia, sus trabajos como asalariado, su vida política, su producción periodística, y así obtener una imagen dinámica y vivencial de César Vallejo.","PeriodicalId":33031,"journal":{"name":"Espergesia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44688252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Es inaceptable que Cuba siendo un país que posee un sistema institucional bien articulados, que garantiza el desarrollo y la promoción de nuestros valores identitarios, así como una elevada nómina de intelectuales reconocidos en toda la geografía mundial, adolezca de espacios para el diálogo, el debate, la crítica y la problematización abiertas de nuestro ethos sociocultural. Aun cuando se evidencia cierta “apertura” desde los medios de difusión y las instituciones que favorecen el debate crítico, persiste el criterio dentro de los intelectuales y artistas cubanos con respecto a la necesidad de profesionalizar e institucionalizar la crítica en nuestro país. Nuestro objetivo es llamar la atención sobre la necesidad de que se creen y promuevan espacios para el ejercicio de la crítica en defensa de nuestra identidad nacional. Esperamos sobre todo que se multipliquen en los medios de difusión masiva y las instituciones la presencia de espacios que estimulen el debate y la polémica, que es también una manera efectiva de promocionar y perfeccionar nuestra sociedad y nuestra cultura. No queda otra alternativa que favorecer la crítica como lo que es, “arte dentro del arte”, si queremos transformar nuestra realidad y pluralizar sus accesos.","PeriodicalId":33031,"journal":{"name":"Espergesia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42621252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and academic procrastination in students working on their thesis during the pandemic. There were 161 participants, and the purposive sampling technique was used. Furthermore, this study used a quantitative design with a correlational method. The hypothesis proposed a significant negative relationship between these students' social support and academic procrastination. Furthermore, the Tuckman Procrastination Scale and the Interpersonal Support Evaluation List were employed. Also, the data analysis was conducted using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 24 for Windows. Before testing the hypothesis, several statistical tests were carried out, such as the assumption test, which included the normality and linearity test. The results showed a significant negative relationship between social support and academic procrastination in the students, and the correlation coefficient value obtained wasr = -0.380 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05). This indicates that the higher the level of social support obtained by students, the lower the academic procrastination behavior carried out, and vice versa. Therefore, the hypothesis in this study is accepted.","PeriodicalId":33031,"journal":{"name":"Espergesia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45831529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Imprescindible en este sentido resultó la consideración sobre el análisis de la relación entre la producción artesanal y su impacto en la comunidad, sobre todo la forma de contribución al desarrollo de la misma. Esta problemática refleja las contradicciones propias de los actuales procesos económicos, sociales y culturales en que están inmersas las sociedades latinoamericanas. Es por ello que el presente trabajo se traza como objetivo fundamentar la contribución de la producción artesanal del sombrero de paja toquilla, en la comunidad de Pile, Manabí, bajo las formas organizativas de economía familiar al desarrollo comunitario local. Prevaleció un análisis bibliográfico documental, como los estudios realizados por el Ministerio de Cultura y Patrimonio y por el Instituto Nacional de Patrimonio Cultural, los cuales constituyen una importante fuente de información. Se contó también con el estudio y análisis de diferentes presupuestos de autores que han trabajado el tema de la artesanía como proceso patrimonial, económico y comunitario.","PeriodicalId":33031,"journal":{"name":"Espergesia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43203443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Researchers used the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) that connects attitude and mental health services and a five-theme framework that discusses the factors or needs in facilitating successful tele-assessment. The results revealed a predominantly positive attitude toward psychological tele-assessment yet with the emergence of contradicting appraisals. Most tended to agree on the benefits of tele-assessment in addressing mental health concerns, but concerns about its flexibility, privacy, confidentiality, rapport, and communication were salient. Respondents reported high openness to conducting tele-assessment in the future but recognized that this was more challenging than the traditional assessment. They evaluated themselves with low confidence and were somewhat knowledgeable about the ethical issues involved in this service. Results further indicated low perceived competence to conduct tele-assessment. They expressed the need for more training, specific local guidelines, access to technology, and available online tests for tele-assessment.","PeriodicalId":33031,"journal":{"name":"Espergesia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44329461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Concepts such as ethnicity or identity keep framing these studies. Alevism is one of those which is called ethnoreligious. However, Alevism has assumed different meanings according to regions and countries in the historical process. Discussions about what Alevism is have increased, especially in recent years. Different sources feed these discussions. Against the insistence on defining Alevism within the borders determined by the governments in Turkey and the discourse that ignores social diversity in general, Alevism feels the need to return to its resources, especially the historical and sociological studies of Alevi intellectuals, to seek a solution to this identity crisis. On the other hand, the organized Alevi movement, which has achieved various gains in Europe, expresses more confidently their demands for the rights of Alevis in Turkey, and they are also on the agenda in the country from time to time. The participants are Turks who do not have connections with Alevi organizations, do not have access to written sources of Alevism, and whose socialization spaces are usually their village associations in the city. Although their views sometimes show parallelism with the studies that seek the “essence/history” of Alevism, they also create unique ways of conveying the principles and philosophy of their beliefs and diversify their interpretations of Alevism. These interpretations sometimes have features that stretch the boundaries of traditional discourses.","PeriodicalId":33031,"journal":{"name":"Espergesia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43729470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Having a different background embedded within collectivistic cultures versus the enculturating experiences of their teenagers being raised in the United States with individualistic cultures is forming a barrier. The purpose of this research was to explore those challenges with cultural barriers of AIIP who struggle to raise their adolescents in the United States. This qualitative research utilized a phenomenological design to explore the in-depth lived experiences of five AIIP from a large Mid-southern city in the US who are navigating acculturation, enculturation, and parenting with their adolescent children. The AIIP participated in 60-90 minutes, semi-structured interviews virtually, using Zoom due to the global pandemic. The interview transcripts were thematically analyzed through phenomenology using four levels of analysis and interrater reliability with two raters which provided a process that allowed for identifying complexities in their experiences. The preliminary finding shows that the AIIP struggled with anxiety, frustration, and fear during their navigation of parenting in an entirely different culture from the culture they were raised in.","PeriodicalId":33031,"journal":{"name":"Espergesia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45299937","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
