El trabajo presenta de modo alternativo una de tantas instancias del proceso de paz en Colombia, culminado protocolariamente con la firma del acuerdo de septiembre de 2016: un episodio de desmovilizacion y entrega de armas por parte de miembros del grupo rebelde al margen de la ley Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC). Por tanto, La ultima noche se enmarca en la tematica del llamado pos-conflicto.","PeriodicalId":33029,"journal":{"name":"Escritos","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67503951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Molina","doi":"10.18566/ESCR.V27N58.A03","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18566/ESCR.V27N58.A03","url":null,"abstract":"Some of Gomez Davila’s commentators have noticed that his work has an intertextual nature, that is, it is not a closed system: it is always implicitly linked to other works and writers. Gomez Davila himself points out in the Scholia that Montaigne and Burckhardt play a significant role in such intertextuality. The purpose of the article is to present an interpretation of the link of the aforementioned writers with the work of the Colombian one. In Burckhardt’s case, it is shown how his anthropological pessimism ─based on an idea of the original sin─, his skepticism regarding the human possibility of con-structing utopias, his denial of the idea of progress, and his conception of the size and role of the State are found in the work of Gomez Davila, as well as the way in which the latter develops them. In Montaigne’s case, his closeness to Gomez Davila is shown by means of their biographical similarities, their distance to the academic world of their own time, their own idea of philosophy, their use of skepticism as a tool to defend faith, and their strong conservatism. The article concludes that this intertextuality provides order and sense to Gomez Davila’s political standpoint within his Scholia. Indeed, it is intended to show that Gomez Davila articulates the influence of his masters in a reac-tionary view of the world.","PeriodicalId":33029,"journal":{"name":"Escritos","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67503116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bearing this in mind, the article, then, correlates both lines of reasoning: the way in which both thinkers consider art in social terms is based on the very idea of life. Such correlation makes possible to explain why Freud establishes a syntonic relation with classical art, whereas Nietzsche’s view establishes a syntonic relation with avant-garde art.","PeriodicalId":33029,"journal":{"name":"Escritos","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67503893","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It highlights the way in which platonic metaphysics was developed in a completely different way than what is known as “Metaphysics of Exodus”. It considers that myth ─as an expressive vehicle of religious experience and having a polyvalent logic─ was a decisive element for the transmission of gnostic tradition. Thus, the article concentrates on the gnostic understanding of “The Prologue of John”, which focuses on the Christological function of Jesus, bearing in mind the difficulties involved in the indifference with which this tradition dealt with Incarnation. The tools for the exegesis are taken from Hellenic tradition as a form to clarify the gnostic intuition concerning the stages of the propagation of the divine, both before and after the Fall.","PeriodicalId":33029,"journal":{"name":"Escritos","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67503161","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, the purpose is to show, through a conceptual and historical analysis, that denying such a link, at least, means the existence of an unclear and biased view of the concept of utopia and its historical development. For this purpose, it presents a provisional definition of utopia along with two assumptions underlying such definition: an economical and an anthropological one. It also presents a typology of utopias. Based on this, the idea that utopia is both subversive and perfectionist is rejected by acknowledging two different models of utopia: closed and open utopias. It is concluded that possible tensions between utopia and law are overcome by means of an open model of utopia.","PeriodicalId":33029,"journal":{"name":"Escritos","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67503597","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lo que Postone llama dominacion abstracta es analogo a la axiomatica capitalista de los autores franceses. En ambos libros se formulan teorias sobre la especificidad historica del capitalismo, que a la vez hacen posible una critica inmanente de esta forma social. Los autores coinciden en destacar los aspectos historicamente especificos del capitalismo, diferenciandolo de otras formas sociales. Asimismo, mantienen una relacion parcialmente afirmativa con esta forma social, en la que se gestan ambigua o contradictoriamente posibilidades historicas emancipatorias. Trazare, por lo tanto, un paralelismo (inexplorado en la bibliografia secundaria) entre la concepcion de Postone de la dominacion social abstracta y la axiomatica capitalista de Deleuze y Guattari. Asimismo, intentare mostrar que los tres autores (en las obras citadas) formulan una critica del capitalismo que se basa en sus propios desarrollos historicos y sociales, procediendo de manera inmanente antes que con estandares normativos abstractos.","PeriodicalId":33029,"journal":{"name":"Escritos","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67503229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
