The research is comprised of 3 sections: A brief biography of Al-Hafiz Al-Dhahabi; his approach in listing and ordering weak hadith narrators, his compilation of information about the narrators included in his book and how he dealt with disputed narrators; and the resources he used in his book and the terminology, whether his own or borrowed from leading narration critics, that he used to describe narrators. Various methods and approaches of study have been developed by the early generations including eight methods of taḥammul al-ḥadīth. For the purpose of adapting the hadith’s study in a modern system, this study reviews the methods of classical hadith studies, Islamic scholarly pedagogical theories and their practice in tahfiz schools in Selangor. Qualitative methods have been used in this research which includes analysis on classical method of education analysis and modern approaches, and interviews with nine chosen tahfiz schools in Selangor. The study also found that the hadith studies can be conducted in formal and non formal institutions in order to make the hadith studies more useful and comprehensive in the future. \u0000ABSTRAK \u0000Istilah Pengajian hadis sudah berdiri dengan sistem sendiri sebelum wujudnya sistem pengajian moden. Pelbagai kaedah dan pendekatan pengajian sudah dikembangkan oleh generasi lalu termasuk lapan metode taḥammul al-ḥadīth. Bagi tujuan adaptasi pengajian hadis secara lebih bersinergi dengan sistem moden, kajian ini meninjau metode-metode pengajian hadis klasik, teori-teori pedagogi sarjana Islam dan praktiknya di maahad-maahad tahfiz dalam negeri Selangor. Metode kualitatif digunakan dengan menganalisis metode pendidikan klasik dan pendekatan moden serta temubual di sembilan buah maahad tahfiz terpilih dalam negeri Selangor. {"title":"الشيخ عُبَيْد الله الْمُبَارَكْفُوْرِيّ الرَّحْمَانِيّ وجهودُه العِلمية في الحديث النبوي تدريساً وتأليفاً","authors":"S. Ghouri","doi":"10.53840/HADIS.V10I19.107","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.53840/HADIS.V10I19.107","url":null,"abstract":"Shaykh 'Ubayid Allah Raḥmānī al-Mubārakfūrī is considered as the last link of Ḥadīth scholars belonging to the group of Ahal al-Ḥadīth in India. After him, the group was not blessed with the same expertise in Ḥadīth, and who could collaborate between Ḥadīth and Fiqh based on the approach followed by olden Ḥadīth-centric scholars, and who could be sought for his knowledge in India. This research sheds light on the life and efforts of this great scholar in serving the Prophetic Hadith. It consists of two sections: Firstly, about his personal and scholarly biography, and secondly about his scholarly contribution in this field. The research follows descriptive and inductive approach. The research concludes with important findings, which include, that Mubārakfūrī was a great Ḥadīth expert, a visionary jurist, and a scholar with versatile knowledge. Despite all this he was not a frequent writer like other contemporaries of his own religious group. It spreads his realm across the globe from the east to west. It’s counted as a weapon that has sharpness in both sides. It has a negative part as well as the positive part. Teenagers get the benefit to use positive part and they harm their selves to use negative part of technology. This study will emphasize on reasons for moral deviation of teenagers for using new technology in Bangladesh. Getting harm due to using new technology by teens are common and widespread. Especially, male teenager than female teenager. It is a big affliction and problem for moral deviation in this generation. By this study, we will try to get the solution from the Sunnah perspective to enhance teenager morality in Bangladesh. Critical and analytical methods will be applied in this study to reach the expected finding ground. Here are some research findings: Parents should monitor their children whereas they are small or big. In addition, they should fix a time for them to entertain new technology. Parents should not buy a smartphone for them at their early age. Because they do not know how to use it wisely and how to differentiate between right thing from the wrong thing. {"title":"تخريج الحديث النبوي عند المحدِّثين : مفاهيم ومناهج","authors":"Maryam Ahmad Znan AL.Zhranie","doi":"10.53840/hadis.v9i18.70","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.53840/hadis.v9i18.70","url":null,"abstract":"The research aims in its entirety to introduce the science of the graduation of prophetic hadiths, in order to show its importance, and its close relationship with the sources of the Sunnah and its books, through which we can determine the whereabouts of the hadiths from the original sources of the Sunnah, and attribute them to those who produced them, and to indicate the degree of these hadiths and distinguish the correct ones from the weak. The researcher extrapolated the texts of the scholars in their books that dealt with the topic of graduation, and then analyzed them in order to determine a scientific concept for graduation, and the methods of scientists in the graduation of hadiths through: Introducing the science of graduation in the language and in the terminology of applicants and contemporaries, its history, its benefits and the most important literature in it, and the statement of the approaches of the modernists in graduation and attribution. Nūr al-Dīn ꜥEter is considered one of the important references in the field of Muṣṭalaḥ al-Ḥadīth (the Islamic science of authenticating the Ḥadīth). According to Muhadithin, the unawareness of that skill is considered as a major deficiency. Many books have been written on the topic of Ghareeb al-Hadith. Due to the tremendous significance of this skill, the commentators of Hadith put in the best struggle to elaborate the odd and complicated words of Hadith in their commentaries. Allama Waheed al-Zaman has solved this issue of Ghareeb al-Hadith meticulously in his eminent commentary of Asrār al-Lugha. In Indo-Pak subcontinent, this was the first book written in Urdu language. He has opted different methodologies for this purpose. His most comprehensive method to describe Ghareeb al-Hadith is to elucidate the meaning of words, and then he quotes the sayings of the experts in the fields of Ghareeb al-Hadith. In the end, he also gives his point of view. However, in some places, he depends on the opinions of experts and does not his comments. However, the alternative psychotherapy initiative can affect the Muslims’ faith because some of the traditional rituals deviate from al-Sunna. Therefore, this study was conducted to compare psychotherapy theory between al-Sunna and Hindu meditation traditions, which are increasingly applied in the psychotherapy process. This study applies qualitative methods via descriptive approach. The findings of the study found that the contemplation method according to al-Sunna has holistic and balanced features encompassing the aspects of psychospiritual, taṣfiyah al-Qalbi, al-murāqabah, al-muḥāsabah and al-dhikr. In fact, it is also deemed to be far more beneficial to be applied as an alternative psychotherapy model. \u0000ABSTRAK \u0000Pendekatan psikoterapi yang berorientasikan sentuhan agama Hindu seperti yoga dan meditasi transendental merupakan salah satu kaedah alternatif terkenal yang mampu merawat masalah tekanan jiwa. Namun begitu, inisiatif psikoterapi alternatif tersebut boleh menjejaskan akidah umat Islam kerana beberapa ritual tradisinya bercanggah dengan al-Sunnah. Oleh itu, kajian ini dijalankan bagi membuat perbandingan antara teori psikoterapi menurut al-Sunnah dan tradisi meditasi Hindu yang semakin kerap diterapkan dalam proses psikoterapi. Kajian ini menggunakan metod kualitatif melalui pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil kajian ini mendapati kaedah tafakkur menurut al-Sunnah memiliki ciri-ciri holistik dan seimbang mencakupi aspek psikospiritual, taṣfiyah al-Qalbi, al-murāqabah, al-muḥāsabah dan az-zikir. Akar historis peristiwa hijrah hingga menjadi fenomena masa kini berawal dari keterangan hijrah yang diabadikan dalam Alquran. Selain itu, Hadis Nabi saw. berkedudukan menjelaskan peristiwa bersejarah tersebut secara komprehensif akan menjadi sumber informasi kedua. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis yang datanya dikumpulkan dari literatur tafsir dan hadis, tulisan ini akan berturut-turut mengupas mulai dari uraian terminologi hijrah berdasarkan sudut pandang linguistik, dilanjutkan dengan keterangan para ulama dalam bentuk uraian tafsir dan syarah. Penulis berkesimpulan secara umum tidak ada makna dan praktik hijrah dengan argumen “transformasi pola hidup dari arah negatif menuju ke arah positif tanpa disertai dengan migrasi secara fisik lalu melakukan labeling individu atau komunitas sebagai kaum Muhājirīn”.Akan tetapi sebagian ulama memberikan penjelasan bahwa hijrah tidak hanya dimaknai migrasi teritorial tetapi juga dapat bermakna metafor yakni hijrah batin dan lahir. Tokoh yang paling getol menegaskan dengan terminologi tersebut adalah Sayyid Qutub pendiri gerakan Ikhwanul Muslimin.
