The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reached 21.6% in 2021. Four children were identified as stunted (12.1%), and 29 were normal (87.9%) in PAUD Adelwais in March-April 2023. Moringa leaves are one intervention that can be used to prevent stunting. Moringa oleifera (Moringa plant) is a widely and easily cultivated plant in Indonesia with the potential to be an ergonomic, cheap, and nutritious supplemental food. Many communities have widely used Moringa plants. The research aimed to determine the efficacy of Moringa leaf pudding in preventing child stunting. A quasi-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test approach was used as the research design. A total sample of 33 children were selected as respondents to the survey. The research results show that the consumption of Moringa leaf pudding effectively increases the height and weight of the children significantly, with a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). However, there was no statistically significant change in the body mass index with a p-value of 0.310 (> 0.05). There is a decrease in the prevalence of stunting in the PAUD Adelwais children, which decreased to 2 children (6.1%). Conclusion: Pudding with Moringa leaves is an effective intervention for preventing stunting in children.","PeriodicalId":321431,"journal":{"name":"Siklus : Journal Research Midwifery Politeknik Tegal","volume":"32 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140490097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dysmenorrhea, or pain during menstruation, is one of the issues with teenage reproductive health during that time. The purpose of the research was to identify the variables associated with primary dysmenorrhea. This type of study was quantitative, with an analytic survey method and a cross-sectional approach in which the research data used primary data This study used 72 samples to represent the population of female junior high school students. The chi-square test was the data source. The study's findings a correlation between primary dysmenorrhea and physical activity (p value 0.005), menarche age (p value 0.033), and nutritional status (p value 0.044). The incidence of primary dysmenorrhea among female students at SMP Negeri 2 Mesuji in 2023 was shown to be correlated with physical activity, age at menarche, and dietary status. Adolescents should take responsibility for the key modifiable dysmenorrhea causes, like exercise routines and nutritional status, by learning more and adopting a healthy lifestyle.","PeriodicalId":321431,"journal":{"name":"Siklus : Journal Research Midwifery Politeknik Tegal","volume":"67 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140488147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is because the perineum is not strong enough to withstand stretching of the baby's head when the baby weighs a considerable amount. According to the data obtained from Talang Public Health Center, in the number of births in January - October 2021, 28% of mothers experienced perineal rupture during vaginal delivery. This study aimed to determine the relationship between newborn weight and the incidence of perineal rupture. A quantitative with a correlational design was used in this research. The data was collected from January to May 2022 in Talang Public Health Center. The sample used in this research was 119 mothers who gave birth. We used secondary data and analyzed it using SPSS with the chi-square statistical test. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between the birth weight of the baby and the incidence of perineal rupture in Talang Health Center with the value of p = 0.650 > α = 0.05. This may be due to other factors such as maternal, fetal, birth, and birth assistance factors. Hopefully, this research will provide health workers and the community with knowledge so pregnant women can have regular ANC visits to monitor fetal development.","PeriodicalId":321431,"journal":{"name":"Siklus : Journal Research Midwifery Politeknik Tegal","volume":"62 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140485942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Additionally, it also offers benefits for mothers. In 2018, the rate of exclusive breastfeeding in Central Java Province was 65.57%, while Karanganyar District stood at 62.3%. Various factors influence exclusive breastfeeding, including interpersonal relationships, mother and baby characteristics, environmental factors, support systems, institutional elements, and socioeconomic and cultural conditions. This study aimed to assess sociodemographic factors' influence on exclusive breastfeeding's success. It employed an analytic, cross-sectional approach and utilized purposive sampling, involving 55 mothers with infants aged 0-6 months who visited the Health Center for child immunization. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire, and data analysis was conducted using logistic regression analysis with the SPSS version 16.0 program. The findings revealed that three of five sociodemographic variables—parity, education level, and maternal employment status—significantly affected exclusive breastfeeding. Sociodemographic factors influence exclusive breastfeeding success by 52.1%, indicating that 48.9% of other factors beyond the variables studied also play a role. These research results can inform the development of health education programs for pregnant women in their third trimester, focusing on exclusive breastfeeding in preparation for the breastfeeding period.","PeriodicalId":321431,"journal":{"name":"Siklus : Journal Research Midwifery Politeknik Tegal","volume":"53 23","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140486989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
