Due to this fact the problem of st udying the radiation di st ributions in the surface atmospheric layer of the Earth is urgent. In this work, measurements of the exposure dose rate, beta particle flux, and equivalent equilibrium volumetric activity (EEVA) of radon in the surface atmospheric layer of the Earth have been performed. Measurements of radon and gamma, beta backgrounds were carried out from April 2021 to Augu st 2021 in the Almaty region at various altitudes above sea level: from 500 to 2500 meters. They were carried out using electronic radiometric equipment: beta-dosimeter “RKS-01B-SOLO”; gamma dosimeter “RKS-01G-SOLO”; radiometer of radon-222 “RAMON-02” in the field. As a result, preliminary assessment schemes were built for route measurements of the 222Rn radon isotope, beta and gamma radiation fields from natural daughter products of decay of radon isotopes and radionuclides located in the surface atmospheric layer. As a result of this work, an altitude dependence of changes in the natural radiation gamma and beta background of the surface surface layer is presented, which grows with an increase in the surface above sea level. The different activity of radon over rocks and soils is shown, which, as is known, is associated with the exhalation of radon and which depends, among other things, on the density of the soils. The preliminary results of measurements of significant perturbations of the EEVA of radon did not","PeriodicalId":321102,"journal":{"name":"Physical Sciences and Technology","volume":"191 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114846763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Flares produce effects that span the electromagnetic spectrum. During a flash, they emit x-rays and ultraviolet radiation, resulting in extremely high temperatures. The purpose of this work is to create a new algorithm for the identification of solar flares and active regions of the Sun, thus minimizing harm to spacecraft operations in orbit. An algorithm was developed for the automatic detection of active regions of the Sun (sunspots, solar flares), based on methods of image enhancement, segmentation, pattern recognition and mathematical morphology. The sun’s surface also displays visible sunspots located in regions of the Sun that are magnetically active and whose number is an indication of the Sun’s magnetic activity. In tracking and predicting solar activity, the identification and classification of sunspots are useful techniques. The main objective of this paper is to detect sunspots using images from the Solar Dynamics Observatory.","PeriodicalId":321102,"journal":{"name":"Physical Sciences and Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129251748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The DLCfilms were formed on the stainless steel, aluminium, polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and polycaprolactone(PCL) surfaces by PECVD method using C2H2 gas plasma and their properties was compared with the filmsdeposited on silicon. The differences of the films properties were determined by a null-ellipsometry and Ramanspectroscopy. It was found that the thicknesses of the carbon coatings deposited on metallic substratesare larger than on the silicon when the deposition conditions were the same. When the films are formed athigh bias voltage the refractive index of the DLC films deposited on stainless steel are lower compared tothe coatings on silicon but the extinction coefficients are higher. Raman spectra shows that sp2 bonds concentrationis higher in this case. When the ion energy is lowest (bias voltage -400 V), Raman spectroscopyshows that D peak isn’t observed on the Si-deposited carbon coating, while the typical carbon amorphouscoating is formed on the Al substrate. The thickness of amorphous carbon coatings deposited on the polymersdepends on the bias voltage, and the optical properties depend on the type of polymer. The coatingsdeposited on PCL have a much higher refractive index than on PEEK. \u0000Key words: amorphous carbon films, steel, aluminum, polyetheretherketone, polycaprolactone, Ramanspectroscopy.","PeriodicalId":321102,"journal":{"name":"Physical Sciences and Technology","volume":"65 19","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113933058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compact Astronomical Low-Cost Instrument for Spectroscopy in Transportable Observatories(CALLISTO) is a worldwide network of spectrometer system for solar activity monitoring. The detection ofsolar radio bursts is being interrupted due to RFI as these stations are held on the ground. Since RFI signalsare being detected from surrounding, this gives inaccurate data for ground base station observations. RFIsources are mostly from man-made devices. This paper study analysis of RFI level at selected CALLISTOstations by using Kurtosis Analysis. Data from Banting, Malaysia, Sumedang, Indonesia, Ooty, India andDaejeon, South Korea stations for two months (45–870 MHz) that contain solar burst and no solar bursthad been selected. The kurtosis value is then compared with the population density to get the relationshipbetween the population density and the RFI level. The highest average of kurtosis value indicates thelowest of radio frequency interference at these sites. MATLAB software was used for the data analysis andMicrosoft Excel for the RFI profiling graphing. The results show that the high population density is not amain factor that contributes the interference towards the surrounding. \u0000Key words: Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), radio astronomy, kurtosis analysis, e-CALLISTO.","PeriodicalId":321102,"journal":{"name":"Physical Sciences and Technology","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117195666","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
