In particular, a generational worldview change in the writers association “Group47”was traced. Considering the group's activity as an example a writers’ “birth” in German post-war society was demonstrated when the young people without professional education and literary experience (this was the 1945th year generation or the generation of “private soldiers”) managed to enter on the world scene within relatively short time. The “brand new” writers repudiated any abstractions, opposed the idealization of the past, present or future, focused on a comprehension and reflection of a real life “here and now” experiences. An attention to the lack of an unanimous opinion of literary critics regarding the functioning of the “Group47”was drawn. In particular, examples of critical statements about the association activities were given. Arising from such very different and violent reactions a rethinking of the World War II tragedies and its consequences took place. It has been shown as during few decades of the hot debates between different generations of writers the new sparks were flashed, which ignited entirely different centers, where according to the researchers in the 70's a new pop culture emerged, whose representatives were entirely new faces and unknown names.","PeriodicalId":32028,"journal":{"name":"Pitanna Literaturoznavstva","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49326492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Досліджується феномен Шотландії як літературного конструкту, до створення якого долучилася літературна еліта країни, коли втратила можливість отримати політичну автономію. З’ясовується, наскільки щільно в сучасній шотландській літературі переплетені літературний і політичний дискурси, а також наскільки конститутивні вони одне для одного. Докладно представлено інтерпретацію впливу ключових авторів періоду шотландської деволюції Аласдера Ґрея, Джеймса Келмана, Ірвіна Велша на становлення образу Шотландії. Вивчено наративні техніки, які стали в пригоді не тільки при створенні дискурсу національної літератури та ідентичності, але і виявилися політичною зброєю дискурсу шотландськості. Висвітлено також і кардинальний поворот у парадигмі від національної та націєтворчої літератури до літератури космополітизму і гуманізму в контексті нових викликів початку нульових. I pay more attention to the antimodernist and concept of Michail Al. Lifshitz; 3) To ground my opinion that the ideology of socialist realism in the 1960-ies is also anti-modern; 4) To expand the analysis with a brief introduction of Hans Sedlmayr’s attitude, and to explain why it is anti-modern as well; 5) To give an answer to the question what the social function of the anti-modern attitude is. I use a critical comparative approach to the original sources, asking for the social functions of the analysed concepts. While previous studies have focused mainly on textual incongruities, argued for an encoded strategy on the part of the implied author or have embraced a reader-oriented model; the present study attempts to analyze the concept of unreliable narration as a convergence of both the rhetorical and cognitive/constructivist models in genre identification. The object of the analyses is Sarah Waters’ novel “The Little Stranger”, in particular its metamorphosed genre with the elements of historical sketch, mystery, poltergeist/ ghost story, mysticism and detective intrigue. The author’s narrative strategy is specified by the multiple readers’ responses. Despite the explicit Gothic modality, the historical context makes it possible to implement the author's conceptual intentions. Sarah Waters chooses a subjective narration type, when the homodiegetic narrator performs a dual function: both the narrator-observer and the character. In his unreliable narratives, the complementarities of misreporting, misinterpreting, underreporting and misevaluating are traced. Narrative unreliability in the novel serves as a kind of disguise for the mental aberrations of the homodiegetic narrator, so that the peculiarities of his narration cause doubts about his adequacy, freeing the reader from his influence and making it possible to create various interpretations of the story. Consequently, narrative unreliability here directly affects both the genre identification and the range of reception shift from the implicit reader to the text (implicit communication), and from interpretive frames to the implicit author and reverse, that allows to apply a convergence of rhetorical and cognitive/ constructivist methods in the novel analyses.","PeriodicalId":32028,"journal":{"name":"Pitanna Literaturoznavstva","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69758344","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the precedent texts that defined the core of the topos “book”, named myths and the Bible, which actualize the positively marked elements of the binary opposition that make up the structure of the topos: “salvation”, “power” (in the myth), “healing”, “wealth”, “justice” (in the Bible), as well as the seven “memory”, “knowledge” – common to the two sources. The emergence of fundamentally new values of the topos “book” occurs in a situation of transition, historical instability. Around the topos “book” formed a stable poetic and semantic complex, the structure of which, on the one hand, includes the traditional motives of the mental existence of the book, the identification of the book with the true knowledge, on the other hand, there are qualitatively new ideas related to the archiving of book culture, as well as the destruction of humanitarian knowledge (which is especially important for the literature of recent decades). The main stages of the evolution of the topos “book” are considered: each cultural epoch has its own peculiarities of perception of this topos as a model of the world, which demonstrates the ontological, axiological and epistemological attitudes characteristic of a person's worldview of a particular historical period.","PeriodicalId":32028,"journal":{"name":"Pitanna Literaturoznavstva","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48910496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
