{"title":"MANUFACTURABILITY FACTORS OF PREFAB-CONSTRUCTION FROM STEEL THIN-WALLED COLDFORMED ELEMENTS","authors":"D. Khokhrіakova","doi":"10.32347/2077-3455.2022.63.358-371","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32347/2077-3455.2022.63.358-371","url":null,"abstract":"The article systematizes the factors and their influence on the manufacturability of prefab structures from steel thin-walled cold-formed elements. It is known that LSTS are modern building structures that are efficient in terms of material consumption. Despite this, many of them, due to labor costs during manufacture and installation, are characterized by increased cost, and cannot always be considered technologically advanced. Since the study of manufacturability factors opens up new opportunities for their effective use in the design of objects from LSTS, the author classifies them into two groups: factors determined by the level of development of means of production; factors determined by the properties of objects of labor. As a result of a brief review of the development of manufacturability ideas, a number of provisions have been formulated regarding a clear distinction between factors and indicators of the manufacturability of objects and structures. Based on the performed comparative analysis, two types of equipment for the production of LSTS were identified: type I – for low-rise frame-panel construction; type ІІ – for all options for the use of LSTS in construction, incl. for multistorey and commercial construction. The efficiency of modern LSTS production depends on the following parameters: design time, time for transferring details to equipment, speed of the production process, production changeover time. It is noted that the speed of profiling is not a key parameter for the production of LSTS. More important is the issue of equipment readjustment to other profile sizes, which can cause significantly more time than the rolling process itself, and, accordingly, reduces the manufacturability of LSTS. A significant characteristic of a modern line, which ensures the manufacturability of the production of LSTS, is the presence of a minimum set of presses to perform the necessary operations on the produced profile (bulging, profile bending, cutout in the fabric, holes for screws, crimping of the ends of the profile), which reduce labor intensity and speed up the subsequent assembly of structures from steel thin-walled cold-formed elements. It seems promising to design LSTS only from C-profiles of the same section and thickness due to an increase in their manufacturability by eliminating such factors as changing equipment to a profile of a different type, sorting elements when assembling a bundle of panels, transporting structures from the factory when using compact lines directly on the construction site. The use of coastal areas for economic, residential, and industrial buildings led to their degradation and gave rise to a number of legal, ecological, technical, and urban planning problems. Coastal water areas and territories are important natural and urban planning complexes in the planning structure of the city, because they enrich the urban fabric with public and recreational space, coastal flora and fauna, a picturesque landscape, and improve the microclimate of the urban environment. Professional organization, beautification, preservation and protection of coastal water areas and their coastal territories is one of the dominant urban planning tasks due to the fact that coastal territories are extremely vulnerable, the most exploited and investment-attractive zones. Preservation of the natural balance between the water area and the coastal area in the conditions of an urbanized environment is an urgent task of city planners. The advantages of the organization of the coastal man-made system have been proven. The urban planning organization of the coastal territory of the river is a set of measures for engineering preparation and improvement of the territory, which include the definition and measurements of the site, the identification of its natural features, the determination of the borders of the coastal territory, zoning with the definition of restrictions (water protection zone, coastal protective strip, green lines), project development, technical support of architectural and landscape improvement under the condition of maintaining and preserving the natural balance of the river ecosystem. The importance of establishing the Blue Lines of urban planning restrictions of coastal water areas is substantiated. Green and Blue lines should become tools for limiting the urbanized load on the natural component of cities and settlements, protecting and safeguarding the purity of the water body, the balance of the ecotone component, the river biocenosis, and the paradynamic connections of the river ecosystem during its urban development. The blue lines of urban planning restrictions – the boundaries of the water area cut – will contribute to the preservation of the maximum allowable sizes of coastal water areas, a tool for preserving the natural component in the urbanized environment, which will help solve the problem of balanced, rational and harmonious use of coastal water areas and territories. This allows you to significantly reduce wood costs, reduce installation weight, improve the quality and reliability of wooden structures that work mainly on the bend. \u0000The expediency of reinforcing elements of solid or glued wood with steel and composite polymer reinforcement is substantiated. The rather high compatibility of wood work in the compressed and stretched zones of the bending element of steel reinforcing steel of classes A400C, A500C and composite fiberglass reinforcement, composite basalt reinforcement and composite carbon tape is shown. Reinforcement of solid and glued cross-sectional elements of wooden structures with steel or composite plastic reinforcement or tape can significantly reduce wood costs, reduce height and installation weight, improve quality and reliability. \u0000Analysis of the current state of research of reinforced wooden structures indicates the need for a thorough study of the bending of wooden beam elements with combined reinforcement of steel and composite reinforcement and with combined pre-stressed reinforcement. To date, the issue of studying the stress-strain state of reinforced wood in the \"calculated cross section\" of both the structure and the work of the material in its composition is insufficiently covered. In this regard, it is necessary to explore some methods of mythological influence on the construction of ancient Chinese architecture. Objective of the article: identify features of the methodology of studying the architecture of ancient China. There is describing that based on the general theoretical methods of studying architecture, it was founding that in ancient Chinese architecture there is a special cosmological meaning, which was giving great importance in the Celestial Empire. In ancient buildings, we can see the Chinese idea of the Great Way. The central core of Chinese traditional thinking is the postulate of \"the union of man and heaven.\" This is the basis of his myth making and methods of constructing architectural structures and compositions. It can be suggesting that the further development of the methodology of studying the architecture of China should be based on the postulate of the dominant importance of the natural environment. As a rule, on the territory of such nature reserves, we have a combination of objects of architectural and archaeological heritage. In the past, these objects could be significant complexes with fortifications, and several auxiliary buildings, some of which were objects of wooden architecture. Today, a large part of such objects is lost. We can give a list of the most famous ones – the reserve \"Sofia Kyivska\", \"Davnii Halych\", \"Knyazhy Belz\", the historical and archaeological reserve \"Plisnesko\", the historical and architectural reserve in the city of Zhovkva or the reserve in the city of Lutsk, and many others. As a rule, the planning of research and restoration-conservation works in such nature reserves takes place by successive selection of individual objects and efforts to bring them to a proper state and museumization. With this method of planning, the most important scientific component is lost – the study and assessment of the entire complex with its preserved and unpreserved objects (including archaeological and landscape elements). The recording of all the wealth of movable and immovable heritage on the territory of the reserve is also relevant. Such a selective method is due to the weak instrumental base of reserves and limited opportunities to attract relevant specialists. We believe that scientific activity and conservation and restoration work in such nature reserves should be based on a primary survey of the entire territory. A thorough and complete inventory of all archaeological sites on the territory must be carried out.\u0000In the article, we reveal the possibilities of research and inventory of the territory of historical and cultural reserves using modern instrumental non-invasive methods. The most problematic are the tasks of detection, inventory, and identification of objects of archaeological heritage. One of the principles of balanced development is the creation of a transport network, which will contribute to the development of the economic sphere of \"peripheral territories\" as well as social development. The transport network prompts investment attraction and, thanks to this, the territories get impetus for further development. \u0000Nowadays, rural settlements in Ukraine are mostly concentrated along the roads at a distance between 5 and 15 km. Beside this, there is an interconnection between the type of transport network and the settlement pattern. Transport provides the migration mobility of the population, the intensity of land settlement, areas of reconstruction and new development. The transport system is closely interconnected with the development of cities and urban agglomeration, it provides interconnection between cities and rural settlements, and the lack of roads causes the collapse of the whole rural infrastructure. \u0000Comparing the main components of the impact on the development of rural areas, they should be considered from the standpoint of the theory of O. Gutnov, \"skeleton and fabric\", which are an integral part of the cyclical development and evolutionary dynamics of urban systems, while acting as a forming urban space, with the main components: \u0000– communication framework (network of various categories of roads and their junctions); areas of social activity development fabric filled with a variety of spatially localized functions. \u0000It has been determined that based on the theoretical model of O. The problems of urban planning faced by local residents (including problems of water supply, electricity, sewerage…) due to dense construction are presented and analyzed in detail. The city of Irpin in its economic and geographical position is a new urban arena with a great ecological heritage. Due to rapid construction, population growth is growing, but engineering networks and infrastructure of the city - no. This is the reason, which, unfortunately, leads to environmental and housing problems that need to be addressed within the urban planning phase. The main characteristics of the trends of compacted buildings are given, special attention is paid to the model of urban planning. The term \"dense construction\" directly indicates that the construction of a new facility leads to a reduction in usable area within a particular region or city. It is established that when designing in dense conditions of the city it is necessary to choose the combinatorics of elements of construction production and options for construction of residential buildings not only in densely built-up areas, but also in terms of construction of dense infrastructure. The issues of designing modern territories, use of engineering networks were raised. Conditions of urban planning and construction of objects in the conditions of dense construction have a number of difficulties and features for construction which are connected with restriction of the area of a construction site. Improper organization and non-compliance with the rules during construction, leads to adverse effects on the building near which construction is taking place. There are such defects as: cracks, deformation of the foundation, deformation of the structure, distortions, which lead not only to a violation of aesthetic performance, but also - to a violation of the rules of operation. The regularities of the influence of dense buildings on the use of engineering networks, traffic, life of Irpin residents are determined. The main periods for adaptive reuse of industrial buildings into hotels are determined, the characteristics of repurposed industrial buildings into hotels are considered, and the tendencies of such renovations are determined both by the experience around the world and national situations in China. The advantages and problems of repurposing industrial buildings into hotels are revealed, compared with new developments, as well as with other aspects of reusing industrial buildings. Based on the analysis, recommendations are proposed on the directions of such conversion. \u0000Based on the generalization of the processes of the adaptive reuse of industrial buildings into hotels in China, the main stages of their formation are identified: 1st Period – driven by market economy (1990-2003); 2nd Period - rapid spread phase (2009-2014); 3rd Stage - phase of in-depth research (since 2015). \u0000In comparison with new construction, the advantages of adaptive reuse are more cost-effective, which takes less time, preserves monuments of industrial architecture, activates surrounding economies, which leads to energy saving, protects the environment, and ensures sustainable development of territories \u0000The challenges and risks that arise during such renovations are systematized, identifying the main fields of research. \u0000This study shows that there are several trends in repurposing industrial buildings. Firstly, market and economic issues still matter, while preservation of culture and environment is taking a more important role. Secondly, saving the individuality and basic characteristics of old industrial buildings with the integration of modern elements is important to ensure sustainable development. Thirdly, modern technologies are more popular than before.
