Wreckage collectors play a significant role in waste reduction and management. Therefore, the sustainability of the wreckage collector business, which is measured through profit performance, is interesting to investigate. This study aims to analyze the effect of education level, firm age, type of product, and capital on the profit of wreckage collectors in Cirebon city. The population consist of 40 wreckage collectors, all were selected as respondents. The data were analyzed with multiple linear regression using the OLS method. The results show that education, firm age, and capital have a positive and significant effect on the profit of wreckage collectors, while type of product has no significant effect. The results imply the need to improve education for wreckage collectors. In addition, financial institutions should facilitate low-interest loans to improve turnover and profit.","PeriodicalId":31920,"journal":{"name":"Trikonomika","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44128094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study provides insights by assessing the determinants of food security in Indonesia and creating a map of the country's most food insecure areas as a basis of developing anticipating strategies. This study is quantitative in nature using secondary data from the Statistics Indonesia. To estimate the model, we used Non-Parametric Splines Regression and Clustering Analysis. The results show that food security in Indonesia is greatly impacted by rice production, population density, purchasing power index, food expenditures, and harvested area. Additionally, most of the provinces in Indonesia has a medium to high food security level. The results showed the need for integrating Indonesian food chain policies such as land, water, and fertilizer availability. The data analyzed are quarterly data covering the period 2005Q3 - 2020Q1. The analysis tool used is the Vector Error Correction model with the cointegration relationships between variables. The results show that there are variations in the impact of the monetary policy shock on the response of the variables in the model. Monetary policy shocks can explain the forecast error variance of policy interest rates, inflation, exchange rates, and output, respectively, with the largest to the smallest contribution. The characteristics of shocks are unexpected and unpredictable, resulting in variability and volatility of the variable responses. Therefore, reducing the impact of the monetary policy shock can improve the effectiveness of the monetary policy. Improving the effectiveness of monetary policy can be done with the support of the central bank's credibility. Banking performance was analysed from three years before and three years after conducting mergers and acquisitions. To analyse the impact of banking mergers and acquisitions on company value, paired sample t-test and the fixed effect model (FEM) and Random Effect Model (REM) are utilised to test the research hypothesis. The results show that the banking performance after conducting M&A is decreased. This is demonstrated by the improvement in banking value and performance by using variables PBV, Tobin’s q, LDR and COMIN, which increase relatively after mergers and acquisitions, but the ability to generate profits, as measured by ROA is decreased.This is an implication of the combination of large assets that have not been used optimally to generate profits.","PeriodicalId":31920,"journal":{"name":"Trikonomika","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44432896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
