The contradictions between the demand of society for specialists with a high intrinsic motivation, sufficient skills to create new educational and information products, the ability to form professional expert opinions and the unrealized potential of universities in the formation of these skills were revealed. The specific features of the professional activity of future specialists in information security are substantiated that require the use of the essay genre in the educational process. The purpose of the article is to define the features and pedagogical conditions for the use of essays in educational activities of future specialists in information security. The informational approach and the theory of self-determination to productive learning activities were used. The specific factors of choosing an essay as a product of the educational activity of students based on the characteristics of their future professional activities were determined. The author offers pedagogical conditions for the inclusion of essays in the educational process as a result of systematic and internally motivated educational and informational activities for the development of professional disciplines on information security. Based on the latest research on introducing distance learning in teaching foreign languages in the modern conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the authors identified the key semantic fields of the problem, namely: positioning the process of introducing distance learning for teaching a foreign language as a prerequisite for the innovative development of the university as a whole and its strategic planning in particular; identification of universal technologies and platforms that can be used in the educational process of the university: videoconferencing implemented on Zoom, Discord, Skype; television and satellite technology based on the use of interactive television: television and radio lectures, videoconferences, virtual practical exercises; email technology; network technologies for posting various educational materials; case studies. The article describes specific models for the implementation of distance learning technologies in organizing practical classes in English. It describes a step-by-step algorithm for using Zoom platform, a model for integrating this technology with network technologies that provide an opportunity to use educational and methodological materials of electronic information educational environment of the university. The study is based on the research of the implementation of dual education abroad, and on the analysis of systems of practice-oriented vocational education in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The distinctive an d structural features of the dual system of vocational education are considered. To ensure the quality of vocational education of college students a practice-oriented model of dual education was developed. The model was created within the framework of the authors’ concept based on the requirements of the system, activity and acmeological approaches. The main research methods were the methods of analysis of the existing system of dual education, modeling of the process of professional training of college students, experiment, survey methods and expert evaluation. Dual vocational education is considered as a system that provides a consistent implementation of the pre-planned process of vocational education and the development of students in the conditions of theoretical training in the institution of vocational education and industrial training at the enterprise. The article presents the refined features of the concepts of “dual educa-tion” and “dual system of vocational education”. The main results of the authors are a practice-oriented model of dual education of students in vocational education institutions and the criteria for its effectiveness. It is proved that professional training of vocational education students in the system of dual education provides the increase of education quality and raises the level of personality development of students. The system of dual education guarantees the quality preparation of specialists according to the social order and Federal Educational Standards. The article presents experimental data confirming that the organization of the process of professional training of college students within the practice-oriented model ensures the transition of students to higher levels of quality of educational activity of the organization of vocational training and industrial activity of the enterprise. The results obtained expand the understanding of the role and features of the dual system o f vocational education; determine the ways and forms of its implementation. The authors believe that such associations can be organized on pedagogical university grounds, taking into account their didactic, innovative and research potential. The organization of training within developing linguistic associations differs in many ways from the traditional process. Foreign language classes implement the ideas of informal learning, use a set of innovative technologies, embody the ideas of surprise approach.
