Operators and drivers are exposed to both physical and chemical hazards. Accordingly, the ranking of the workplaces at loading and transport in the mine was conducted in order to determine the workplace characterized by the most difficult working conditions. Five workplaces in the Open Pit Mine “Veliki Krivelj” were analyzed on the basis of the regularly measured parameters of the working conditions there (measures have done in 2018 year). The AHP/PROMETHEE methods were used as the ranking method. The AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method enables us to determine the criteria weight of coefficients and the PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for the Enrichment of Evaluations) method enables the final ranking of the workplaces. The three scenarios were considered, as follows: the ranking of the loading workplaces, the ranking of the transport workplaces and the ranking of all the workplaces. The results indicate that the workplace of the Marion Excavator Operator is the most difficult workplace at loading. The workplace of the Euclid R 170 Truck driver is the most difficult workplace at transport. Finally, a comprehensive analysis of all the workplaces generated the results indicative of the fact that the workplace of the Marion Excavator Operator is the most difficult workplace. The obtained results indicate a clear distinction between the old and the new equipment. The results clearly suggest the importance of having modern equipment, which is the key element in taking care of the workers’ health.","PeriodicalId":31689,"journal":{"name":"Podzemni Radovi","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71024087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The variable flow of hydraulic mixture in installations causes unsteady operation and pipes spraying, pump damage, obturation in various sections of the pipeline, reduced capacity as well as higher operating costs. Using mathematical equations presented in this paper, such parameters of the hydraulic mixture, hydrotransport installation and control devices can be determined which protect system from possible clogging. Considering the fact that critical speed of hydraulic mixture depends on transported material grain size, mixture volume mass, diameter of pipeline and specific gravity of solid phase, it is possible to accurately analyze obturation in hydrotransport installations depending on those parameters. In order to prevent hydraulic impacts in hydrotransport installation pipelines, which value can be determined mathematically, it is necessary to adjust installation to hydromixture parameters and pump, or vice versa.","PeriodicalId":31689,"journal":{"name":"Podzemni Radovi","volume":"30 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71024945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Herein, it is assumed that horizontal stress is effect of strain formed at seismogenic depth and transferred to shallower depth of rock mass. Strain rate is different depending on thickness of the crust and is different in different locations. Using available data regarding the measured maximum horizontal stress and depth of Moho discontinuity trend between these is obtained. Trend shows that maximum horizontal stress is decreasing with the thickness of the Earth’s crust and vice versa. Finally, expression that defines maximum horizontal stress from Moho depth and deformation modulus of rock mass is provided.","PeriodicalId":31689,"journal":{"name":"Podzemni Radovi","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45349558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to determine best performing cut in Lece mine series of experiments were conducted. It was noticed that sequencing of initiation has crucial impact on cut performance. Line cut had experienced filling of empty holes with blasted material that was indistinguishable from the main rock. Finally, best results were obtained by delayed initiation of charges in circular pattern. Such cut construction provided complete hole recovery instead of previous poor results.","PeriodicalId":31689,"journal":{"name":"Podzemni Radovi","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44355087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
