Several studies demonstrated that phytomatodes have a role in helping infection of the pathogens that cause wilt. This study aims to determine the relationship between phytonematodes and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense from soil and banana roots infected with fusarium wilt. Soil samples was obtained from infected banana plants and collected based on different scores of fusarium wilt disease severity. Samples were then composited based on the score, and the abundance of each pathogen is measured following samples extraction in the laboratory. The highest population of phytonematodes was 77 g-1 obtained from soil with a disease severity score of 4; and the lowest was 16 g-1 from samples with a score of 2.  As for root samples, the highest population of phytonematodes (85 g-1) was obtained from plants with a score 0 and the lowest (33 g-1) was from plants with a score 3. Two species of phytonematodes were identified, i.e. Helicotylenchus sp. and Radopolus sp. Based on measurement using conventional methods showed that the abundance of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense was highest in plants with a score of 1, i.e. 8.1 × 103 cfu g-1 soil and lowest in plants with a score of 0 i.e. 1.0 × 103 cfu g-1 soil.  The effect of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense to the severity of fusarium wilt shows a positive relationship of 8.3% and it may contribute to cause fusarium wilt disease by 0.6%. Puru akar sangat merugikan karena menurunkan hasil produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan bakteri endofit dari Lantana camara dan  mengevaluasinya bersama bakteri endofit dari akar kelapa sawit, dan mangrove yang berpotensi untuk mengendalikan Meloidogyne spp. dan menentukan pengaruhnya pada pertumbuhan tanaman terung, serta mengidentifikasi bakteri endofit yang potensial sebagai agens pengendalian hayati. Potensi agens hayati mengacu pada hasil pengujian uji mortalitas, uji senyawa organik volatil (SOV) dan uji penekanan puru akar dievaluasi dengan mengukur persentase penurunan jumlah puru, kerusakan akar, dan jumlah paket telur. Hasil uji menunjukkan seluruh isolat bakteri endofit berpotensi menyebabkan mortalitas, menghasilkan SOV, dan dapat menekan persentase jumlah puru pada akar, serta memberikan pengaruh terhadap bobot dan tinggi tanaman. Bakteri endofit LCA5 dan LCA13 menyebabkan mortalitas lebih dari 90% terhadap Meloidogyne spp. J2. Selama 24 jam dan pada uji SOV menyebabkan mortalitas lebih dari 60% selama 24 jam. Tujuan penelitian ialah mengidentifikasi cendawan rizosfer kebun jeruk siam pontianak organik serta potensinya dalam menghambat pertumbuhan cendawan patogen Botryodiplodia theobromae dan Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. Karakterisasi cendawan dilakukan dengan mengevaluasi pertumbuhannya pada suhu, kelembapan, dan tingkat pH yang berbeda, selanjutnya dilakukan uji antagonis terhadap C. gloeosporioides dan B. theobromae. Cendawan yang diperoleh dari rizosfer pertanian organik jeruk siam pontianak ialah Fusarium sp., Fusidium sp., Penicillium sp., dan Trichoderma sp. Seluruh cendawan rizosfer tumbuh optimal pada pH 4.5–5.5, suhu 20–30 ℃, dan kelembapan 60–80%. Cendawan Penicillium sp. mempunyai kemampuan tertinggi menghambat per-tumbuhan C. gloeosporioides (83.66%), sedangkan Trichoderma sp. mampu menghambat pertumbuhan patogen B. theobromae optimal (92.04%). Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the Oomycetes associated with the rhizosphere of infected potato plants showing leaf blight. Four isolates were collected from four regions in Central Java (UGM_St_TM, UGM_St_BK, UGM_St_BNJ, and UGM_St_KJ, the isolate from Temanggung, Bakal, Banjarnegara, Kejajar respectively), and UGM_St_NG isolate as culture collection from Laboratory of Plant Pathology. Molecular identification of all isolates was carried out using the internal transcribed spacer (ITS1/ITS4), nuclear large-ribosomal subunit (LSU), and cytochrome C oxidase subunit 1 (COX1) gene markers. Pengendalian penyakit bercak daun masih bertumpu pada fungisida kimia. Kombinasi teknik pengendalian serta ketepatan waktu aplikasi fungisida perlu ditentukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengendalian serta mengurangi dampak negatif penggunaan fungisida kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan kombinasi pemberian fungisida dan pupuk silika serta waktu yang efektif untuk pengendalian penyakit bercak daun. Penelitian disusun dalam rancangan petak-petak terbagi, dengan aplikasi pupuk silika sebagai petak utama, fungisida sebagai anak petak, dan waktu aplikasi sebagai anak-anak petak. Pupuk silika (20 mL L-1) diaplikasikan pada tanaman jahe merah umur 4 minggu dan kemudian tanaman diinokulasi dengan P. zingiberi pada umur 8 minggu. Fungisida mulai diaplikasikan sesuai dengan perlakuan (umur 12, 14, dan 16 minggu). Tidak terdapat interaksi antara ketiga faktor yang diuji. Aplikasi silika dalam bentuk SiO2 memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata pada keparahan serta laju perkembangan penyakit. Aplikasi silika meningkatkan kadar fenol dalam tanaman jahe merah. Pestisida nabati berbahan minyak cengkeh menginduksi sintesis asam salisilat, namun tidak signifikan dalam menekan laju perkembangan penyakit bercak daun. Mankozeb lebih efektif menekan laju perkembangan penyakit bercak daun dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lain. Waktu aplikasi fungisida disarankan pada saat tanaman berumur 14–16 minggu atau saat gejala bercak daun mulai terlihat. Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan dari laporan tentang penyakit penting pada buah stroberi (Fragaria ananassa) di Kabupaten Purbalingga, Jawa Tengah untuk mengidentifikasi penyakit oleh cendawan pada bagian tanaman selain buah. Sampel berupa daun atau tanaman bergejala, diidentifikasi secara morfologi atau molekuler apabila identifikasi morfologi tidak memungkinkan. Konfirmasi gejala penyakit yang disebabkan oleh cendawan dilakukan dengan mengikuti postulat Koch, yaitu menginokulasikan cendawan patogen hasil isolasi pada tanaman stroberi sehat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyakit penting yang disebabkan oleh cendawan pada tanaman stroberi adalah penyakit hawar daun yang disebabkan oleh Phomopsis sp. dan Pestalotia sp.; penyakit gosong daun yang disebabkan oleh Curvularia sp. dan Diplocarpon sp.; penyakit bercak daun yang disebabkan oleh Cercospora sp., Phoma sp., dan Gnomonia sp.; serta penyakit layu yang disebabkan oleh Verticillium sp. dan Fusarium sp. Berbagai teknik pengendalian penyakit busuk bulir padi telah dikembangkan untuk mencegah kehilangan hasil panen, salah satunya menggunakan asap cair. Asap cair banyak dikaji sebagai agens pengendalian berbagai penyakit tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan potensi asap cair untuk pengendalian penyakit busuk bulir padi yang disebabkan oleh B. glumae dan sebagai pemacu pertumbuhan bibit padi. Tahapan penelitian terdiri atas: uji potensi asap cair terhadap B. glumae, uji fitotoksisitas asap cair dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan benih padi, serta uji keefektifan asap cair dalam menekan B. glumae pada benih terinfeksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asap cair dengan konsentrasi 2% dapat menekan perkembangan B. glumae secara in-vitro dan tidak menyebabkan fitotoksisitas pada benih padi dengan indeks vigor 90% dan daya berkecambah 90% dibandingkan dengan kontrol dengan nilai indeks vigor dan daya berkecambah sebesar 76% dan 83%. Asap cair dengan konsentrasi 2% juga dapat menekan keparahan penyakit pada fase pembibitan dengan tingkat hambatan relatif 43.8%. Adapun nilai panjang plumula bibit padi pada perlakuan asap cair 2% ialah sebesar 5.87 cm. Nilai plumula tersebut lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kontrol yang hanya sebesar 5.22 cm.
