The phenomenon is essentially a natural tendency inherent in all human existence as a social creature and religious beings. As a socio-religious community, it is generally inevitable for the human community to always be correlated with the environment. This research is conducted by using qualitative approach and case study about traditional ritual of the “Cuci Negeri” by the Soya Christian community. One of the results obtained is that the phenomenon of hybrid religiosity and the politics of piety by the Soya community is a manifestation of their survival strategy, facing the context of the encounter between traditional beliefs with the doctrines of Christianity, as well as other missionary religions (Hinduism and Islam) and the influence of globalizationmodernization. The method used is descriptive qualitative with ethnography approach and sociology method with social fact paradigm approach. The results of this study illustrate that Tanimbar fabrics are usually inherited through the life skills or skills of a mother to her daughter by looking at her mother's way of weaving every day, which is done manually (traditionally). This weaving work has become a culture and has certain meanings in the life of the Tanimbar community. The manifestation of these meanings is seen in the social structure of the Tanimbar society that positions women to high social status. Also, Tanimbar fabrics are not only used as clothing and activities on certain custom occasions but also as a customary item for newlyweds, as well as goods or objects of honor or reward for the family (kin) if they die. If Christianity teaches humans to have a relationship with the land as humans come from the land, the Aru people are just the opposite. The sea context that surrounds and makes life possible for them creates a reflection that humans are actually created from the sea. The reflection is reflected through the myth of Eno Karang: a myth that tells about the beginning of their existence; their ancestors were created from the sea; the sea is the source of life for them; the sea ties their relationship; and the sea becomes a divine means that destroys but saves them. The myth of Eno Karang from Aru people is a myth that shows kinship between human and the sea. Myth is indeed an untrue imaginary story, but myth is a story that underlies and gives meaning to life. Myth is one of the special revelations in contextualizing theology. The reality of the various damage that occurred in Aru is unfortunate. All this destruction was caused by the Aru people having forgotten their cultural roots their identity their identity: marine relatives. Through renewing kinship bonding, which is by realizing the aspect of living kinship with the sea and reconsidering various behaviors that deviate from the relationship, Aru will be saved. The myth of Eno Karang invites all creation to live in a harmonious and peaceful relationship.
