Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the effect of changes in load on the cost of fuel generation at PLTU Barru tends to be directly proportional, where the higher the load generated, the higher the costs incurred. As in June, to produce 33.85 MW of power the total cost is Rp. 457,687,187.47/hour required. Likewise, if the power at an average load of 33.85 MW increases by 1 MWh it will result in an increase in costs of Rp. 13,306,061.24/MWh, but in certain circumstances such as in November with a power of 29.83 MW it will produce the total cost is quite low at Rp. 337,356,512,63/hour. PLN (Persero). This project is a Hydro Power Plant Master project with a SULSELRABAR transmission located 246 km from the city of Makassar. The operation of the Bakaru hydropower system is certainly expected to work optimally, reliably and efficiently. Therefore, evaluation or data on the performance of the generator itself is needed. This study was conducted to determine the condition of the Bakaru hydropower plant based on the equivalent availability factor (EAF) and Net Capacity Factor (NCF) and Cost of Production (BPP). The data used is operating data on the Bakaru hydropower plant for 1 year. The data was obtained by using the documentation technique, while the data analysis was carried out using the Microsoft Excel program. After conducting research, it can be concluded that the condition of the Bakaru hydropower plant in 2017 is considered normal, seen from the EAF value reaching 94.15% and the average EFOR value of 2.4% with the number of Service Hours (SH) of 16,912.93 hours from 2 units. with the percentage of Service Hours to Period Hours reaching 96.53%. Meanwhile, the Net Capacity Factor of the Bakaru hydropower plant in 2017 reached 85.83%, with a total gross energy production of 945,372.50 MWh. Dengan pemasangan sudu pengarah diharapkan dapat mengurangi torsi negatif yang dihasilkan dan mengarahkan angin ke sudu cekung kincir. Rumusan masalah yang akan di selesaiakn dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana mengetahui karakteristik putaran kincir angin sumbu vertikal kelengkungan 90° dengan dengan adanya penembahan sudu pengarah. Pengujian karakteristik putaran kincir angin dilakukan secara eksperimen, yaitu dengan melakukan pengamatan atau pengukuran terhadap variabel yang ditentukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik putaran kincir angin sumbu vertikal  tipe sudu 90 °  dengan sudu pengarah . Pengamatan dilakukan pada kecepatan angin yang berbeda dengan variasi posisi sudu pengarah. Variasi yang dimaksud adalah posisi pembukaan dari 0˚ sampai 50˚ pada kecepatan angin 3,2 m/s sampai 4,2 m/s. Hasil penelitian untuk kecepatan angin yang berbeda, diperoleh bahwa pada kecepatan angin 4,2 m/s pada pembukaan sudu pengarah  50° nilai putaran poros tertinggi  96,2 rpm dan untuk kecepatan angin terendah 3,2 m/s pada pembukaan sudu pengarah 50° diperoleh nilai putaran poros kincir terendah 63,3 rpm. Jadi pengaruh dari sudu pengarah yang dipasang adalah semakin besar pembukaan sudu yang diberikan maka putaran poros kincir juga akan semakin besar. Sedangkan tujuan khususnya adalah merancang dan membuat sistem pengereman dinamik pada mesin gerinda duduk pada bengkel mekanik Jurusan Teknik Mesin Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang. Metodologi ini mencakup perancangan sistem, persiapan bahan dan alat, perakitan dan pembuatan sistem serta pengambilan hasil. Sehingga terbentuklah sebuah instalasi pengereman dinamik pada mesin gerinda duduk. Hasil yang dicapai adalah dengan mensuplai tegangan dc ke dalam kumparan stator motor mesin gerinda pada saat mesin gerinda  dioffkan dengan variasi tegangan dc sebesar 30 v, 50 v , 70 v, 90 v, dan 110 v dengan variasi diameter batu gerinda 16 cm, 18, cm dan 20 cm, diperoleh hasil pengereman tercepat adalah tegangan yang tertinggi 110 volt dc dengan diameter batu gerinda yang terkecil 16 cm yaitu 3.41 detik, sehingga dapat diisimpullkan bahwa semakin besar tegangan DC yang disuplai dan semakin kecil batu gerinda dari mesin gerinda tersebut maka semakin cepat pula hasil pengeremannya. Sehubungan dengan biaya operasi maka dalam penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan optimasi operasi pada pembangkit termal yang bertujuan mengetahui model operasi yang optimal, membandingkan biaya operasi dengan berbagai metode, dan menentukan biaya tarif dasar yang termurah di setiap unit-unit pembangkit. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan untuk perhitungan optimal biaya operasi adalah metode Lagrange multiplier dan dynamic programming. Kriteria utama yang harus dipenuhi adalah mengetahui karakteristik input-output dari unit-unit pembangkit tersebut. Dari hasil perhitungan optimasi diketahui bahwa metode Lagrange multiplier lebih optimal dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode dynamic programming meskipun hasil perhitungannya hampir sama. Pada umumnya hasil perhitungan lebih optimal dibandingkan kondisi nyata PLTU Barru. Khususnya pada bulan Mei 2016, hasil perhitungan yang optimal sepanjang hari (selama 24 jam) dengan daya total  rata-rata 71,58 MW (71,58%) yaitu pada tanggal 7, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, dan 31. Konsentrasi sedimen yang tinggi  dapat mengakibatkan abrasi dan erosi pada sudu turbin. Selain konsentrasi, ukuran sedimen juga dapat menimbulkan mikroerosi pada sudu turbin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi penyebab dan pengaruhnya terhadap kerusakan sudu turbin. Di samping itu, juga bertujuan menentukan pengaruh konsentrasi sedimen terhadap kerusakan sudu turbin. Pengujian dilakukan dengan empat variasi konsentrasi sedimen (5%, 8%, 10% dan 12%).Pengujian morfologi mikroerosi dengan menggunakan Microscopy Digital Sistem Akuisisi Data di Laboratorium Sistem Pembangkit Energi Jurusan Teknik Mesin Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang. Pada pengujian morfologi mikro erosi di dapatkan hasil bahwa semakin besar konsentrasi yang di berikan semakin cepat pula terjadi kerusakan pada material. Kerusakan yang terjadi pada material carbon steel akibat adanya tumbukan air yang mengandung sedimen ialah abrasi dan erosi dengan variasi konsentrasi sedimen dan waktu yang sama. Analisis struktural berbasis data digunakan untuk menganalisis kondisi dari sistem. Perbandingan kinerja dan kecepatan pembacaan dari sensor juga dibahas. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis redudansi dan perbandingan data dari sistem sensor. Data pembacaan sensor utama dibandingkan dengan data yang telah disimpan pada sistem. Ketika data dari sensor memiliki kemiripan dengan data yang berada pada sistem, maka sensor dianggap normal. Akan tetapi jika data tersebut tidak sesuai, data sensor backup akan menjadi pembanding selanjutnya. Apabila data dinyatakan tidak memiliki kemiripan, maka sensor dianggap gagal. Dari beberapa percobaan dihasilkan perbandingan kecepatan respon perubahan temperatur dari sensor. Kecepatan pembacaan perubahan temperatur dari sensor texas instruments (LM35) lebih baik dibandingkan sensor dari maxim integrated (DS18B20). Akan tetapi akurasinya berbanding terbalik. Untuk kecepatan pendeteksian kesalahan dan penggantian sensor, piranti dari texas instruments lebih baik dari maxim integrated. Untuk kecepatan pembacaan kegagalan sensor DS18B20 lebih sensitif terhadap debu / parasit dengan kecepatan 87,8 ms, sedangkan untuk sensor LM35 lebih baik yaitu 77,5 ms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the air compressor as a generator source in the Engine Hall laboratory. This study seeks to determine the performance of the compressor sistem as a generator drive in the Engine Hall Laboratory and the efficiency of the compressor sistem. The methodology used in this research is a quantitative method by calculating the performance of the compressor sistem as a generator, including compressors and wind bottles. The conclusion of this study is that the smaller the pressure exerted when compressing the air into the wind bottle, the smaller the mass of air that enters the wind bottle, likewise the greater the pressure exerted during compression, the greater the mass that enters the wind bottle (202, 65 kPa with an air mass of 1.0393 kg and 2431.8 kPa with an air mass of 12.162 kg). The smaller the pressure exerted when compressing the air to the wind bottle, the greater the mass flow rate of air in the tube (202.65 kPa with an air mass flow rate of 0.0297 kg/sec and 2431.8 kPa with an air mass flow rate of 0.0115 kg / sec). The shooting parameters used were 2, 4, 6 minutes for the shooting duration, and 0o, 15o, 30o, 45o for the shooting angle, as well as the diameter of the steel shot used, i.e. 0.6 mm and 1 mm. This study aims to analyze the results of the workpiece surface and study the effect of current strength and wire speed on wire cut machining of EMS 45 on the surface roughness of straight gears. The results analyzed were the surface roughness values obtained by testing the surface roughness. The variations in the current used were 3 amperes, 5 amperes, and 7 amperes, while the wire speed used was 8 mm / min, 10 mm / min, and 12 mm / min. In the wire cut machining process, brass cutting materials are used with a wire diameter of 0.25 mm. The results showed that the greater the current and wire speed used, the lower the surface roughness value, conversely the smaller the current and the wire speed used, the higher the surface roughness value.
