In this study, we consider some mapping possibilities based on calculated parameters, including network analysis methods. To represent the data correctly for each studied year from 1936 to 2020, we have developed algorithms for verifying data integrity, as well as for automated creation of a topologically correct network model. Bringing the network to a topologically correct form implies the snapping of the end vertices of the lines to the point objects of the power system, the elimination of hanging dangles, as well as the elimination of self-intersections. The integrity check is carried out in three stages: 1) coordination of the time frame for the existence of network segments; 2) checking the connectivity of each power line for each time slice; 3) checking the connectivity of the entire network as a whole for each year. The age of the network, betweenness centrality, electric grid centrality, closeness centrality in this paper are taken as an example of local parameters, i. e. indicators confined to specific elements of the network (edges or vertices). In addition, we have considered a global indicator characterizing the network as a whole—the average shortest path in the network, which can be calculated in three ways: without taking into account the weight, taking into account the length of the lines or taking into account its capacitance characteristics, depending on voltage.","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69898017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The growing disparity and the development of centrifugal forces make a detailed study of the degree of European integration in demand. The authors have developed Markets Integration Index, which allows to assess the degree of interstate integration in general and for individual markets: goods market, services market, labor market and capital market. The study of the degree of integration using the devised Index makes it possible to analyze the contribution of individual markets to the country’s integration into the EEA; the Index can also be used to study other integration groupings. For the EEA as a whole, the highest values of the Index are observed for the free movement of goods, while the lowest values are observed for the free movement of capital. The highest level of integration in the EEA is observed in the offshore economies and countries of Central and Eastern Europe, while the lowest level is observed in the region’s largest economies and a number of Eastern European countries. In the goods market, the most integrated countries are the export-oriented and import-dependent states of Eastern Europe; Belgium and the Netherlands, due to re-exports. In the services market, the leadership belongs to the tax havens and small Eastern European countries. In the labor market, due to the overlapping patterns of regional and international migration, the countries of Western Europe, mostly small ones, are leaders in integration. In the capital market, the most integrated countries are tax havens and smaller Eastern European economies, the latter achieving the Index values due to the share of investments from the EU. The same level of integration can be achieved through the interpenetration of different markets, which describes the development of national economy.","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69898066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the perspective of using open resources in socio-economic cartography, the challenges and perspectives of using online open non-spatial statistical data through the government portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan are considered for web mapping. The method is suggested for building a web-based spatial visualization tool and getting geographic information. In the case when open geospatial data is not available, it is suggested to integrate non-spatial statistical data of open sources into the environment of web mapping. For using new opportunities and tools of geospatial technologies a methodology of using open resources including open datasets, open source software and cloud computing are widely used on all stages of map development. It has been confirmed that this approach represents one of the valuable opportunities for geospatial modelling in developing countries. The benefits of integrating government open non-spatial statistics have been verified through an interactive mapping population at the national, regional, district, and city levels to be effective in addressing policy and governance issues for decision-makers and practitioners.","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69898080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Space images of high spatial resolution (0.5–3 m), received from Key-Hole-4 (1964), GeoEye (2009), Pleiades-1A/1B (2013, 2016), WorldView-2 (2017) satellites, results of field survey and UAV imagery in 2021, literature and archive materials were used as sources. The developed interpretation technique included both sequential interpretation of preliminary geometrically coordinated multi-temporal images and their digital processing: brightness quantization, calculation of vegetation index NDVI, formation of color multi-temporal composite, which allowed to separate vegetation-covered and bare slope areas by formal features and increased the overall reliability of interpretation. Calculations based on the interpretation results determined that the proportion of the total valley area affected by modern slope processes was 10.5 % in 1964, 14.8 % in 2009, and 13 % in 2017. In the process of images interpretation, it was established that slope processes dominated on the left bank of the Geyser River, where more than 75 % of the area of all outcrops (or 10.2 % of the total studied area of the valley) was concentrated, which is apparently caused by confinement of this valley side to the caldera limiting circular fault, which preserves its activity, and also by the presence of the area of modern uplift there. On the right bank of the river, large areas are occupied by ancient large gravitational shifts, possibly associated with collapsing edges of extrusive massifs. Landslides-slides and erosion in the groundwater outlets are predominant among the modern processes here. The right bank accounts for less than 25 % of the area of all outcrops (or 3.3 % of the total study area).","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69898117","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The investigated Chirchik basin of the Republic of Uzbekistan is characterized by complex geomorphological, hydrological and geological conditions, as well as the presence of an active geodynamic process, which predetermined the development of landslides here. Currently, various methods are used for the integrated study of landslides of various genesis. Along with traditional methods, various tools of geographic information systems (GIS) are widely used. The use of GIS-processing of digital elevation models makes it possible to fully describe the development of landslide processes: quickly obtain information about morphometric indicators (height, inclination angle, slope exposure) in any model, analyze slope steepness and exposure, frequency runoff, generate contour lines, etc., as well as to map them. Another method of research is the method of relief plastics, the essence of which is the geometric transformation of the contours of topographic maps, it consists in the use of a new topographic map—relief plastics based on litodynamic flows. The proposed methodology for the integrated application of GIS technologies and plastic flow maps was developed taking into account the work performed by foreign and domestic specialists. This methodology applied to landslide processes study in the Baibaksay-Sulisay section of the Chirchik basin. As a result, digital elevation models were compiled based on SRTM and QiuckBird remote sensing materials, based on the digital elevation model, using the theory, a map of convex and concave surfaces was created.","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69898447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The solution of this problem determines the search for new topical directions for the prevention of nosological and epidemiological threats. The article presents the first results of a nosogeographic study of bronchopulmonary morbidity among the population of Russian regions for the period from 2010 to 2019. The article shows that respiratory diseases are the leading class of diseases in the structure of primary and general morbidity of the Russian population. Monitoring of the nosogeographical situation was performed on the example of three bronchopulmonary diseases (pneumonia; bronchitis; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). For each disease, the morbidity growth rate was calculated. The resulting data sets became the basis for the development of a series of cartograms. A series of cartograms showed territorial differences in the dynamics of bronchopulmonary morbidity in the regions of Russia. As a result, the general patterns of the prevalence of bronchopulmonary diseases in the regions of Russia were described. The most unfavorable nosogeographical situation in most regions of Russia was revealed by pneumonia. As an example, 36 regions were characterized by high and very high morbidity growth rate of pneumonia. The nosogeographic situation for bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was assessed as less tense situation (in comparison with the situation for pneumonia). High and very high morbidity growth rates for bronchitis were registered in 22 regions, for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were registered in 8 regions. After that, some risk factors that can influence the distribution of various diseases of the respiratory system were discussed. In conclusion, a need to continue research on the assessment and monitoring of bronchopulmonary morbidity was stressed. The results of these research works are of practical value for improving of regional programs and public health services.","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69898688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The developed geo-information analytical system is intended for the actual spatial inventory of tourist and recreational resources of the Republic, and for support of scientific and applied research of development of recreation infrastructure based on justifying the scale and specialization of development, assessing the degree of integration of tourism objects into the landscape structure at the local level taking into account natural and environmental conditions. The inventory of tourist and recreational resources coordinated with respect to landscape allocations is formed in the database in the form of a register of objects systematized by type of specialization, nature of resource potential, environmental restrictions, and infrastructure provision traditionally used in cadastral valuation. The structure of the database of the register of objects of the tourist and recreational industry is determined by the structure of the recreational space of the region and the classification of objects. Industry and integral assessment of recreation resources is made in points relative to landscape allocations. The publication identifies the promising centers of district formation with the highest concentration of tourist resources, or attractive for recreants by their specialization. They are the most preferred for further development, for the largest number of purchases of land and real estate for recreational purposes, and for the increasing number of vacationers. The publication identifies the promising recreational areas—the focus of a high variety of objects that are attractive to tourists in an environmentally friendly and highly attractive landscape. These territories should have significant capacity and accessibility to visit, be potential centers for the generation of tourist flows and serve the further development of tourist and recreational areas. The local level of zoning is a recreational area—popular specialized places for visiting or living of recreants, which are objects for successful investment.","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69899072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The basis for the creation of the GIS database was the results of the study of the spatial diversity of the chemical composition of surface waters. Geoinformation analysis included the creation of a digital framework for mapping, vectorization of mapping sources and Earth remote sensing materials, creation of a single database combining cartographic, statistical information and field observation materials, morphometric relief analysis based on a digital relief model, creating a landscape basis for base maps, creating thematic maps, analyzing changes in the components of geosystems, creating electronic cartographic layers allowing to identify participation of solute sources in formation of water composition. The analysis of component changes was based on the results of different-time studies of the composition of water and bottom sediments. Based on the comparison of the chemical composition of the waters of the Baikal tributaries with the chemical and mineralogical composition of rocks, an approach was developed to identify sources of solute and assess their contributions to the formation of macro- and microelement compositions of surface waters. To solve the problems of the study, methods of statistical analysis of data, multicomponent mixing using systems of linear equations, field methods of data collection were used. Three main categories of solute sources (silicate, sulfide-containing silicate, carbonate rocks) were identified and their contributions to the chemical composition of water were calculated. On the basis of microelement tracers, the contributions of silicate rocks were divided into contributions of primary and secondary silicate rocks, ore-containing silicate rocks without sulfides were isolated. By comparing the ratios of concentrations of trace elements in the waters of uncontaminated territories and wastewater of enterprises, tracers were identified that made it possible to identify sources of surface water pollution. Maps of territories that determine a certain chemical composition of surface waters were compiled, which was first classified on the basis of the ratio of the contributions of drained rocks.","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69897942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of the study is to present the ideas, new views, and innovative approaches to the use of geospatial data, information, and knowledge in evaluating territorial resources and in substantiating the possibility of applying the method of geocognitive modeling to analysis of the resource potential of territories with a view to strategic planning of their social and economic development. The issues of using geospatial knowledge about a territory, of revealing and presenting territorial characteristics influencing a territory’s evaluation, balanced and efficient use of the natural resources, material, technological, human and other potentials were investigated. Findings of the study: analysis of one of the main trends in territorial development over the recent years (intensive use of geoinformation, geoinformation systems, geospatial knowledge, and geospatial analytical data in planning and management of countries and regions) was made. Formal interpretation of the evaluation and use of territorial resources as objects of a single economic system is proposed. Based on formal logical analysis, a theoretical multiple presentation of the process of analyzing the value of a territory from the viewpoint of its industrial use and spatial opportunities is made. The concept of a geo-fragment is used as an elementary unit of geospace in which industrial and/or natural processes take place and interaction of the objects of different industrial fields occurs. Theoretical and practical meaning: a new geocognitive method of evaluating various properties of a territory is proposed, including the degree of development, knowledge, and being fit for comfortable living of people and other territorial aspects. The technological interpretation of the proposed method for assessing the economic value of regional resources is provided. Conclusion: geospatial activity in the territorial context is becoming an important factor in planning territorial development when optimizing the distribution (redistribution) of territorial resources by way of complex interaction of industries and clusters. The study opens up opportunities for further development of the methods, approaches and technologies of formation and use of geospatial knowledge and geocognitive technologies.","PeriodicalId":31498,"journal":{"name":"InterCarto InterGIS","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69898032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
