Oleh karena itu, kegiatan belajar peserta didik harus senantiasa diarahkan tidak hanya dalam penguasaan konsep-konsep semata, namun juga pada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik, khususnya kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hakikatnya, berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan untuk mempertimbangkan informasi yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, kemudian mengolahnya secara kreatif dan logis, menilai kebenarannya, menganalisis, dan menarik kesimpulan akhir, sehingga informasi tersebut dapat dipertahankan kebenarannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April Mei 2018 di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode eksperimen yang digunakan adalah true experimental dengan populasi seluruh kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Tasikmalaya sebanyak 11 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 352 orang. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sebanyak 2 kelas, yaitu kelas VII-J sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-I sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis berupa soal uraian dengan jumlah 17 butir soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan uji ANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi (α) 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Learning Cycle 7E berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan skor rata-rata 38,03, dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dengan skor rata-rata 34,80. Hal ini menunjukkan bhawa penggunaan Learning Cycle 7E mampu berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Salah satu logam berat yang berbahaya yaitu kadmium (Cd). Pencemaran logam berat dalam perairan dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan tumbuhan air. Kayu Apu (Pistia stratiotes L.) merupakan tumbuhan air yang efektif menyerap dan menurunkan berbagai logam berat seperti Hg, Cd, Mn, Ag, Pb, Zn. Sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak berbagai konsentrasi Cd terhadap morfologi dan anatomi akar Pistia stratiotes L. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 1 faktor yaitu konsentrasi Cd (0 ppm, 4 ppm, 8 ppm, dan 12 ppm). Masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan pengulangan 3 kali. Perlakuan dilaksanakan selama 14 hari dengan parameter morfologi dan anatomi akar (jumlah trakea akar). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara morfologi, akar tumbuhan yang terpapar logam Cd mempunyai tekstur akar yang lunak dan rambut akar sebagian besar terputus. Secara anatomi, menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata tiap perlakuan terhadap jumlah trakea akar. Dimana semakin tinggi logam Cd maka jumlah trakea semakin sedikit. Adanya perbedaan jumlah trakea tersebut berkaitan dengan kerja enzim dan hormon pada pembentukan sel-sel trakea akar Pistia stratiotes L. To reduce Indonesia's dependence on biomaterials imports in the field of biomedicine, it can be done through the engineering of operating yarn production absorbed from Indonesia's natural resources. Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) is a polymer that is widely applied as a biomaterial in biomedical fields such as operating threads. In this research, absorbable suture was made from poly lactic acid poly polymer blend from water hyacinth with natural glucomannan polymer of iles-iles. The aim of the study was to study: 1) the effect of polymerization reaction time on PLA yields and 2) the effect of poly lactic acid-glucomannan composition on the mechanical properties of operating threads. Making PLA using the ring opening polymerization method and making yarn using the wet spinning method. The independent variables at the manufacturing stage of the PLA polymer are reaction time = 60, 90, 120, and 150 minutes, while for the variable at the stage of operation yarn making is the ratio between the PLA period: glucomannan = (1: 3); (1: 2); ( 1: 1); (2: 1); (3: 1). The results showed that: 1) reaction time had a very significant effect on yield PLA and 2) different composition of poly lactic acid - glucomannan gave different tensile strength and tensile elongation values. The purpose of this study was to find out the feasibility of a scientific approach through observing, asking, trying or collecting information, associating, and communicating in the learning process of biology in Palembang City State High School. This research is included in survey research with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The study was carried out in 18 state high schools in the city of Palembang which have implemented the 2013 Curriculum. The research subjects consisted of 18 representatives of the school principal in the curriculum, 18 biology teachers who taught in class XI, and 1200 students in the XI class majoring in science. Teacher sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments in this study include questionnaire sheets, observation sheets, interview sheets, and documentation. Hal ini diduga karena rendahnya kebiasaan membaca pada siswa. Kebiasaan membaca pada siswa akan menjadi dasar dalam mendapatkan, mengolah, dan mengelola pengetahuan sains sehingga siswa dapat memanfaatkannya untuk mengembangkan literasi sains yang penting bagi kehidupan di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan hubungan tentang kebiasaan membaca dan literasi sains pada siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 54 Jakarta, SMAN 22 Jakarta, SMAN 59 Jakarta dan SMAN 81 Jakarta pada bulan Mei semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan studi korelasional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 165 siswa SMA kelas X MIPA yang dipilih dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan instrumen berupa paper and pencil testkebiasaan membaca dan literasi sains. Uji prasyarat menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Lingkungan menjadi salah satu indikator penting bagi penularan penyakit tular vektor. Disain penelitian ini adalah observasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui spesies nyamuk yang hidup di buah kelapa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan maret sampai desember 2015. Cara pengambilan sampel diambil dari larva yang diperoleh di wilayah kelurahan Kemelak kabupaten OKU, berupa vegetasi kebun, sawah dan dekat pemukiman penduduk. Identifikasi spesies nyamuk di laboratorium parasitologi dan entomologi Loka Litbang P2B2 Baturaja, Sumatera Selatan. Survei Lapangan dilakukan di kelurahan Kemelak Bindung Langit kabupaten OKU. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan tiga spesies jentik yang berapa pada kontainer kelapa yaitu Aedes aegypti, Culex vishnui dan Culex quinquifasciatus. Saran penelitian ini adalah sebaiknya kelapa dan cangkang kelapa bekas dibakar apabila tidak digunakan oleh masyarakat dan melaksanakan program 3M plus secara terpadu serta berkisinambungan.Kata kunci : Buah Kelapa, Nyamuk, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu ABSTRACTVector contangious disease as Dengue Hemoraghic Fever (DHF)and malaria is disease having high rate morbidity and mortality. The environment which one be an important indicator for the transmission of the vector contangious disease. This research is a design by observational. This study attempts to know the species of mosquito that live in coconut container. This study was conducted in march and december 2015 . Methods of this research was taking the sample collection of the larvæ obtained in urban villages kemelak kabupaten oku , in the form of vegetation garden , rice and near residential area .Methods for identificating species mosquitoes was doing at the parasitologi and entomology labolatory, p2b2 Baturaja , South Sumatra. The field survey was healding in Kemelak village, Ogan Komering Ulu regency. The research showed that species larve who hatch in coconut container was identificated Aedes aegypti , Culex vishnui and Culex quinquifasciatus. The purpose of this study was to find supplement formula in cinnamon bark and leaf pegagan to produce low quail eggs cholesterol and rich in antioxidants. The method used in this study was a complete randomized design consisting of eight treatments with three replications. Eight such treatments, including controls, standard feeds supplemented with cinnamon bark flour 5% and 10%, standard feeds supplemented with pegagan leaf flour 5% and 10%, standard feeds supplemented with flour from cinnamon bark and pegagan leaf (5%:5%, 5%:10% and 10%:5%). The results showed that supplementation of flour from cinnamon bark and pegagan leaf in the feed can increase body weight, egg weight and antioxidant content of egg yolk but decrease the amount or productivity of egg and yolk cholesterol content of quail eggs. Supplementation of flour from cinnamon bark in the feed with concentration 5% or a combination of flour from cinnamon bark-pegagan leaf with ratio 5%:10% gived the best influence on some parameters observed. Low cholesterol and rich in antioxidants can provide solutions to meet the needs of animal protein and improve the quality of public health. Keywords: antioxsidants, cholesterol, cinnamon bark, pegagan leaf, quail eggs ABSTRAKKolesterol dalam telur burung puyuh menjadi kendala pembatasan konsumsi masyarakat terhadap telur puyuh. Tujuan penelitian ini mencari formula suplemen dalam pakan berbahan kulit kayu manis dan daun pegagan dan menghasilkan telur puyuh rendah kolesterol dan kaya antioksidan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri atas 8 perlakuan dengan 3x ulangan. Delapan perlakuan tersebut, meliputi kontrol, pakan yang diberi suplemen tepung kulit kayu manis 5% atau 10%, pakan yang diberi suplemen tepung daun pegagan 5% atau 10%, pakan yang diberi suplemen tepung kulit kayu manis dan pegagan (5%:5%, 5%:10% atau 10%:5%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplemen tepung kulit kayu manis dan daun pegagan dalam pakan dapat meningkatkan bobot tubuh, bobot telur, dan kadar antioksidan kuning telur namun menurunkan jumlah/produktivitas telur dan kadar kolesterol kuning telur pada puyuh. Suplemen tepung kulit kayu manis dalam pakan dengan konsentrasi 5% atau kombinasi tepung kulit kayu manis-daun pegagan dengan rasio 5%:10% memberi pengaruh terbaik terhadap beberapa parameter yang diamati. Telur puyuh rendah kolesterol dan kaya antioksidan dapat memberi solusi terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan protein hewani dan peningkatan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat. Hence, the researcher implemented contextual approach with group discussion to stimulate students’ active activity and improve their scores. This study utilized classroom action research in which there were four steps for each cycle, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were divided into two, primary (researcher’s action) and secondary (documentation). Those data were collected through interview, students’ worksheets, teacher’s observation and written test. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students’ activity from cycle 1 to 3 respectively are 71.88 %, 84.38 %, and 90.62 %; meanwhile the average scores of students’ achievement are 55.31; 69.55; and 79.38 respectively. It can be concluded that by implementing contextual approach with group discussion, students’ activity and achievements during teaching and learning the human movement system topic are improved. Keywords: contextual learning, human movement system, student’s achievement, students‘ activity ABSTRAKPermasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak pada manusia, sehingga peneliti menerapkan pendekatan kontekstual dengan diskusi kelompok untuk merangsang siswa lebih aktif dan hasil belajar siswa lebih meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini meliputi data primer yaitu peneliti yang melakukan tindakan dan siswa yang menerima tindakan dan sumber data sekunder yang berupa data dokumentasi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, lembar aktivitas siswa, observasi kinerja guru dan tes tertulis. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil ditunjukkan dengan persentase keaktifan siswa; hasil siklus 1, 2 dan 3 berturut-turut adalah 71,88 %, 84,38 %, dan 90,62 %. Sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa hasil siklus 1,2 dan 3 berturut-turut 55,31; 69,55; dan 79,38. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan diskusi kelompok, keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak pada manusia meningkat. This study aims to determine the composition of epiphytic orchid species and their host species in the conservation area of Gunung Tilu, West Java. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. This research was conducted from January to March 2017 in Gambung Block that exist in natural reserve of Gunung Tilu, West Java. The results showed that epiphytic orchid species found in Gambung Block, Gunung Tilu Natural Reserve as many as 15 species. The species of host plant that places the epiphytic orchid consists of eight species, namely Altingia excelsa, Lithocarpus pallidus, Schima wallichii, Ficus pistulosa, Castanopsis argantea, Phobea grandis, Castanopsis cuspidate, and Trema amboinensis. Epiphytic orchids are widely distributed in three plant zone, i.e zone two, three and four. Keywords: Orchid epiphytes, Gunung Tilu, host plant, distribution ABSTRAK Anggrek epifit adalah anggrek yang menempel pada bagian pohon seperti batang, dahan, atau ranting pohon yang masih hidup maupun yang sudah mati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi spesies anggrek epifit dan jenis pohon inangnya di kawasan konservasi cagar alam Gunung Tilu, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2017 di blok gambung yang ada pada cagar alam Gunung Tilu, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa spesies anggrek epifit yang terdapat di blok gambung, Cagar Alam Gunung Tilu sebanyak 15 spesies. Jenis pohon inang yang menjadi tempat tinggal anggrek epifit terdiri atas delapan spesies yaitu Altingia excelsa, Lithocarpus pallidus, Schima wallichii, Ficus pistulosa, Castanopsis argantea, Phobea grandis, Castanopsis cuspidate, dan Trema amboinensis. Anggrek epifit terdistribusi luas pada tiga zona pohon yaitu pada zona dua, tiga dan empat. The instrument of data collection are question and questionnaire. The results are average pretest score of experiment class is 49,67 and posttest score is 83,50. Besides, control class have 52,17 and 72,33 as average pretest score and posttest score respectively. Both class are classified to medium category based on N-gain value (the value of experiment class is 0,67 and 0,44 for control class). Those class have significant difference result of t test both in posttest score and entrepreneurial interest (p <0,05). The conclusion of this research is that the ethnoscience of salted egg production in membrane transport learning is significantly effective (p <0,05) for cognitive learning outcomes and entrepreneurial interest of SMA N 1 Kendal students. Key words: cognitive learning outcomes, entrepreneurial interest, ethnosains, salted egg ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektifitas pembelajaran transport membran bermuatan etnosains terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan minat berwirausaha siswa SMA. Instrumen pengambilan data menggunakan butir soal, dan angket. Hasil penelitian ini adalah rata-rata nilai pretest kelas eksperimen 49,67 dan nilai posttest sebesar 83,50; pada kelas kontrol rata-rata pretest sebesar 52, 17 dan nilai posttest sebesar 72,33; N-gain kelas eskperimen maupun kelas kontrol pada kategori sedang, demikian juga pada kelas kontrol (nilai N gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,67, kelas kontrol sebesar 0,44); uji t pretest posttest kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol menunjukkan berbeda secara signifikan (p<0,05); uji t posttest kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol menunjukkan berbeda secara signifikan (p<0,05); minat berwirausaha kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol menunjukkan berbeda secara signifikan (p<0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa etnosains produksi telur asin dalam pembelajaran transport membran efektif secara signifikan (p<0,05) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan minat berwirausaha siswa.
