Without a doubt, these studies suggest mangroves are able to attenuate waves thus make it perfect bioshield against tsunami, storm surges, erosion and other coastal disaster. This paper synthesis state of mangroves forests in Peninsular Malaysia towards the realisation of adopting mangrove as main coastal bioshield. Mangrove forest area degradation mainly caused by the land reclamation for agriculture and aquaculture. The situation has been exacerbated by the rapid growth of coastal communities that eventually become the potential victim for coastal disaster. Despite the rigorous effort to replant and rehabilitate, the incomplete hydrodynamic study of the site often leads to failure. An artificial structure like seawall and wave breaker for coastal defence are not sustainable anymore with the constant cost increment over the years. Though nurturing mangrove to serve as bioshield already begun before 2005, Malaysia commitment in mangrove bioshield officially become national agenda under “The Tenth Malaysia Plan 2010-2015”, by the bill on “Climate adaptation: protecting the nation from the impact of climate change” and “Enhancing conservation of the nation's ecological assets”. However, the AES is a complex algorithm that consumes a larger design core, time, and power source. Hence, this paper presents a development of an improved power-throughput Blowfish algorithm on Zynq-7000 field-programmable gate array (FPGA) as an alternative security algorithm. The proposed memory-based method is used to optimize the performance of Blowfish. The performance is analyzed in terms of its architecture, throughput, and power consumption. DVT poses more dangers of a loose blood clot obstructing the blood flow to cardiac or cranial flow circuits and can cause further stroke or heart attack. As a typical clinical practice, a simple device called DVT Cuff is used on the leg which regulates the pressure using an air-pressure pump. This aids in blood circulation in extremities where most DVT happen. In this paper, A Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) has been proposed that can be used in long-term monitoring of the performance of the cuffs using human experience mapped into the logic hardware. Such monitoring applications are usually quite complicated and need large programs that might not fit into the small and limited memory of the embedded device. The proposed FIS converts heuristic knowledge of the healthcare experts, in solving this problem, into a hardware friendly matrix that has the possible input and output stored in it. In projection mapping, the relative alignment between the projected images and the target is important because the efficiency of projection mapping may be reduced due to misregistration. However, the process of alignment is manual and time-consuming. To solve this problem, we propose an automatic alignment method that uses depth information and geometrical characteristics of a plane. This method enables the correction of a distorted image projected from an arbitrary angle. As a result, distortion is reduced by applying our proposed method, which is evaluated by the error rate defined. The implementation of the real-time multicarrier communication system is restricted by the huge hardware cost and the complexity associated with a large number of computations. In this paper, a low-complexity real-time co-ordinate rotational digital computer (CORDIC)-based very-large scale integration (VLSI) architecture is proposed for CI-OFDMA system. To date, there is no field programmable gate array (FPGA) prototype that is addressed for the CORDIC-based real-time CI-OFDMA wireless system. In this context, we have proposed a new hardware-efficient and flexible CORDIC-based CI-OFDMA architecture. The novelty of this proposed architecture is its capability of changing the number of orthogonal subcarriers and user symbols upto the maximum 32K for the 16-bit word size architecture that is suitable for most of the current and upcoming wireless standards. The architecture is prototyped using commercially available FPGA device XC3S500E-5FG320. Results attained showed that both PCA and Sparse PCA techniques are indeed suitable as feature extraction for high dimensional data since the accuracy rate attained are higher as compared to the original data as inputs to the classifier. However, the inconsistency in determining the number of PCs to be retained is ascertained and this is the drawback of PCA technique despite its greater accuracy rate. Meanwhile, the Sparse PCA retained the original number of principal components (PCs) with sparse loadings that are mainly zero but do not produce promising result with all the datasets. The millimeter-wave spectrum has been proposed for future high speed 5G cellular systems with large bandwidth requirement. Since this proposal, propagation studies characterizing and investigating the potential of mm-Wave spectrum have been aggressively performed. This work conducts measurement campaign to derive a path loss models for outdoor environment in line-of-sight (LOS) scenarios at 17 GHz mm-Wave frequency spectrum. The derived models are based on the log-normal shadowing model. The path loss exponent for the derived path loss models is 2.3, which indicates that the chosen outdoor environment is an open environment like free space. Comparison between the values of path loss provided by the measured data, the derived path loss model and the free space model is made. There are some behavior limitations in modeling this system due to uncertainties, highly nonlinearities, and leakage effect. This paper studies the effect of loads on ARX model parameters of vertical position EHA system. Open-loop experimental tests on EHA system without load and with load were conducted. Load experimental weights of 1kg, 2.25kg and 3.5kg and sampling-time of 30ms were used. ARX model structure was used and derived from Matlab System Identification Toolbox. The proposed surveillance system is used to detect trespasser or fainted individuals in an indoor location such as private property, home and old folk's center. In this system, a wireless webcam is used to capture the required scene then the scene is fed via a wireless router into a personal computer for image processing, trespasser or faint detection and alarm activation. The human silhouette integration includes the usage of head, leg and ratio detection features for a more robust application. The computer displays communication metadata necessary to send a file to a smart device (e.g. the computer's IP address) as a series of color transitions that are nearly imperceptible to humans. The smart device uses a proprietary camera application to capture a video of the computer's screen and read this communication metadata, with which it then accesses the computer and downloads a file. This system implements a simple interface for transferring files between computers and smart devices, a task that has suffered from usability issues for years.
