These negative perceptions impact on students’ learning and their approach to the study of accounting. Additionally, studying accounting in English as a second language as well as in the first year of university compounds the amount of problems students may face, adversely affecting their performance. In a bid to address these problems, the flipped classroom approach was employed and its benefits complemented and enhanced by gamification using Kahoot! The aim of this paper is to share with accounting educators and other educators dealing with similar issues on how to engage students in a large lecture setting, in a flipped classroom model. Whilst a lot of studies have been conducted and much has been written on the use of Kahoot! in the classroom, not much has been done in the context of using the tool in a flipped accounting lecture. The benefits of gamification, flipped classroom, quizzes and feedback have been validated in the literature and have been reviewed in this paper. Kahoot! offered several benefits to ISSN: 2289-7615 94 the teaching team as well the students including instant feedback for the students, an opportunity for the lecturer to elaborate on this feedback, a communication tool between the lecturers and students regarding problem areas, reflection on the lecturer’s part as to what was working well and what wasn’t, and last but not least, students enjoyed learning whilst playing! It offers marketers the prospects and opportunities to generate leads that would help with channels of communication which in turn leads to better visibility. These transactions can also be done using the traditional channels of communication such as radio, television, newspaper, journal, and other means. The research will examine the impact of social media in the context of e-commerce and to ascertain the extent of influence this medium have on users purchase intents, and talk on the issue of cyber security of this interfaces and to bring the comparisons between these two traditional and social media marketing and through data collection techniques, we then test and analyze the research model and come up with its related hypotheses. Individual has different learning preferences. The consideration of learner preferences in finding document can enable a learner to obtain knowledge easily and fast where it constantly changes and shift according to learning situation and environment. Thus, the incorporation of Learning Style (LS) with adaptive learning environment is one of a method to assist novice learner in finding a suitable document and enhance the e-learning system; while it can overcome the one-size-fitsfor-all problem. The LS identification is an important component to identify the learner learning style. There are two conventional techniques to identify learners learning style, which are questionnaires and computer-based detection technique. The questionnaire involves the learner to fill up a survey explicitly. However, existing of LS identification techniques facing some major drawbacks can lead the LS tool to become static nature. The questionnaire technique d facing issues such as questionnaire too long and took long time that can make learner lack of motivation to answer the question. Moreover, the result from the questionnaire technique is fixed because it only prompts a learner to do it only one at the time. Therefore, a few researchers employed computer-based detection techniques, which use a numerous computer algorithm to determined LS. However, these techniques suffer on cold start problem, required a large amount of training data and the existing computer-based detection were not focused document as learning material. Hence, there is a need to develop an adaptive learning style identification that uses document as a learning material. This paper presents the architecture for ALSDoc, an adaptive LS identification for document retrieval. In particular, this study explained how LS is adapt to the learner that allows the retrieval the suitable document that match their LS. The participants were asked to solve a Tower of Hanoi on paper, consisting of 3 discs before completing the Metacognitive Activities Inventory questionnaire. All the 29 students solved the puzzle in the allocated time. The participants have demonstrated that they exercise metacognitive skills during problem solving. Metacognitive skilfulness is significant (p<0.05).
