As a result of the research, the factors contributing to the establishment of egalitarian status of women in the modern socio-cultural system based on the values of equality and complementarity of rights and duties of men and women in the private and public spheres are identified and described. The relevance of this research is due to the need to understand the causes and principles of the formation and existence of modern egalitarization trends. The analysis of philosophical works of various historical epochs allows us to state the presence of masculine dominance in pre-industrial and industrial formations and the representation of the secondary social status of women in relation to the status of men. Based on the analysis of the views of ancient philosophers, philosophers of the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Modern times, a conclusion is made about the dominance of the idea of priority of men in relation to women in social relations. The formation of women’s gender equality within the framework of the transformation of family functional and value bases is considered as a dynamic process that reflects the multidimensional changes in socio-economic social relations of the second half of the XIX century. The Even language is among the endangered languages. The situation requires comprehensive research, recording and documentation of the Even language and culture. The research of the synonymic relations in the Even language will show the lexical-semantic development of the Even word, the stylistic features of the language.
 Purpose. The article is devoted to the study of synonyms in the Even folk texts.
 Materials and methods. Epic tales of the Evens of Okhotsk are used as a source of research. The main method of research is the descriptive one along with semantic analysis and elicitation methods.
 Results. The collected lexical material, distributed according to the parts of speech, reveals a numerical superiority of verbal synonyms in comparison with other groups of words. In the texts of the narrator N.G Mokrousov. synonyms serve as expressive means, have expressive load, are used in the description of the various phenomena, properties, actions, are applied with a view of preservation of a rhythm of singing. Frequent synonyms are recorded in the work.
 Practical implications. The interest in the study of the mechanisms of speech impact made this study relevant. The novelty of this study lies in insufficient research on anomalies in the language of advertising. The hypothesis of this study was the assumption that speech anomalies could be used in advertising texts, since they had been previously studied in fiction and article writing.
 The aim of the article is to demonstrate examples of non-standard, occasional use of the English language means in the texts of commercial advertising. In order to achieve it the following tasks were set: to describe the principles according to which a word, phrase or other formation can be considered anomalous; to find examples and systematize the types of anomalies used by copywriters in English-language advertising texts.
 Materials and methods. The material for the study involved the texts selected by random sampling from printed periodicals and online stores. To prove the logical or illogical use of words, we applied the analysis of semantic meaning, i.e. decomposition of meaning into components, as well as morphological analysis of word forms. These methods involve the use of English-English thesauri. At the sentence level, syntactic analysis was used.
 Results. The analysis showed that the examples of anomalous use of the vocabulary can be reduced to three groups: lexical-semantic, morphological and syntactic. As a result, we managed to show that the most numerous group is the first one, which includes examples of illogical combinations on the principle of animate-inanimate, incorrect designation of quality, concrete-abstract, violations of stylistic combination of words, as well as deformation of phraseological units. The second group is represented by morphological violations of word-formation patterns, simple conjunction of bases, changes in spelling. The third group – syntactic anomalies – is represented by examples of violations in cohesion and split infinitive.
 Practical implications. The author in the presented article considers the late texts of Ovid, presented by Tristia and Epistulae ex Ponto. The purpose of the article is to analyze how the texts reflect the processes of formation of the imperial political culture and identity.
 Research novelty. The novelty of the study lies in the analysis of the late texts of Ovid not as literary, but as political narratives that inspired the transformation of Roman identity, contributing to the actualization of the concepts of Self and Otherness.
 Materials and methods. Methodologically, the article is based on the principles of interdisciplinarity proposed in the framework of studies of nationalism, intellectual and cultural history, transplanted into the contexts of the literary history of Rome in the 1st century AD.
 Results. The article analyzes 1) Ovid’s attempts to form an ideal and positive image of power, 2) Ovid’s contribution to the development of Roman ideas about barbarians, 3) peculiarities of Ovid’s geographical perception of the formation of Roman territory as an imperial heterogeneous space. The contribution of the later texts of Ovid, represented by Tristia and Epistulae ex Ponto and written in exile, to the formation of political imperial culture and identity is shown. In the last quarter of the 19th – early 20th century. in the Russian Empire, there was an intensification of the revolutionary and strike movement, as well as the growth of state opposition. To restore order and ensure control, the governors of the regions, including the Vladimir province, were given broader powers in the field of interaction with law enforcement agencies. New structures were created to fight the opposition: the factory police, a network of agents, and others. The article analyzes the effectiveness of interaction between governors and law enforcement agencies, reveals the personnel policy of the provincial government.
 The purpose of the article is to study the effectiveness of interaction between the Vladimir governors and law enforcement agencies in the last quarter of the 19th – early 20th centuries.
 Materials and methods. The materials for the study were official documents of the State Archives of the Vladimir Region, the State Archives of the Ivanovo Region and the State Archives of the Russian Federation. The methodological basis of this study is the principles of historicism and consistency, implemented thanks to the problem-chronological, historical-genetic and analytical methods.
 Results. The article discusses the interaction of the governors of the Vladimir province with law enforcement agencies in problem situations. During the period of growing opposition sentiments, the governors comprehensively resorted to the functions of law enforcement agencies. At the end of XIX – beginning of XX century it was planned to soften the course of the governors in relation to the opposition, they avoided direct intervention. The governors were interested in the protection of law and order in the region. The peculiarity of the work of the provincial government with the personnel of law enforcement agencies is given.
 Conclusion.  The relevance of the study is conditioned by the interest in creating allusions and their functional significance as linguistic units with rich cultural meanings, and their pragmatic impact in characters’ speech.
 The aim of the research lies in distinguishing the role of allusions in creating the speech character of a speaker and their significance as a cultural and semantic form of speech.
 We used several methods, i.e., continuous sampling, systematization of the language units due to the definite criteria, component analysis, descriptive and cognitively-discursive approach.
 The article is based on the language material of the Spanish television series El Pueblo (The Settlement). The object of studying is its characters’ speech; the subject of studying is allusion as a stylistic method and its functions in verbal component of the audio-visual text.
 According to the problem of study, the list of words and word-combinations was compounded for being analyzed due to the criteria.
 Based on analysis and classification of the content we have got the statistic data. It was identified that 50% of the cases under analysis are allusive proper nouns, that clarifies that allusions reveal the information in compressed form, giving an opportunity for further profound and multiple interpretation.

 Purpose. The article is devoted to the study of the implementation of the opposition of the notion “linguistic personality” in the American linguistic culture.
 Materials and methods. The material for this article was the treatises of the classics of German and French philosophy, the works of Russian representatives of the scientific schools of linguoculturology, cognitive linguistics, devoted to the theoretical issues of the semantics and pragmatics of linguistic communication, conceptual opposition, as well as the book of the American journalist B. Woodward Fear: Trump in the White House. When writing the article, the following methods were used: comparative, discursive, contextual analyses.
 Results. In the course of the study the functioning of the mechanisms for the implementation of the opposition of linguistic consciousness was analyzed. The descriptive characteristics of the concept “linguistic consciousness” are presented. Various approaches to the description of the key normative characteristics of a linguistic personality are systematized. As a part of the personified model the structural organization of a linguistic personality is described based on the dichotomy “Creation ‒ Destruction”.
 Practical implications. The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception of the common pan-Romance state in the intellectual history of Romance philology. The author analyzes various viewpoints on the common pan-Romance state, including the arguments of supporters and opponents of its existence.
 Novelty. The novelty of the study lies in the analysis of interpretations of the common pan-Romance state in contexts of the history of the Romance languages through the prism of intellectual history and the history of ideas.
 Materials and methods. Methodologically, the article is based on the principles of interdisciplinary historiography proposed in intellectual and cultural history, which allows us to analyze the problems of the common pan-Romance state as part of the history of ideas and an invented historiographic tradition or intellectual construct.
 Results. The article analyzes 1) the arguments of supporters of the existence of a common Romance state as a stage between Latin and Romance languages, 2) the ideas of critics and opponents of the idea of a common Romance state, who tend to look for the origins of the Romance languages directly in Latin, 3) the possibilities and potency of revising early viewpoints in contexts the history of late Latin and the early genesis of the Romance languages. The article also analyzes 1) the arguments of supporters and opponents of the existence of the common Romance state through the prism of intellectual history and the history of ideas, 2) the history of Romance philology through the prism of the archaeology of ideas, which allows us to trace how the arguments of supporters and opponents of the common Romance state have changed, 3) the general logic of the development of Romance philology through the prism of the transformation of ideas about the general Romance state.
 Conclusions. The authors focus on the lexical and pragmatic features of the Austrian variant of the German language that distinguish it from the language of the academic communication in Germany.
 Background. Though today much attention is given to the German variants, their functioning in institutional discourse haven’t been explored enough yet, which can lead to errors in cross-lingual communication and translation.
 Purpose. The aims of this paper are to analyze the main approaches and methods used in the study of the Austrian version of the German language in the academic discourse and to identify its main features on the lexical and pragmatic levels based on the results of the author’s research and the works of Austrian linguists.
 Materials and methods. The methods of continuous sampling and lexicographic analysis were used to describe the lexical and pragmatic features of the written academic discourse.
 Results. The paper describes the main methods for studying the Austrian variant of the German language in the academic discourse (lexicographic method, corpus analysis and sociolinguistic method) and identifies such features of the Austrian variant as terminological austriacisms, Latin words, gender-fair language, peculiarities of address and use of academic titles as well as internal multilingualism.
 Practical implications.
