Moreover, since tourism is a multi-dimensional activity, and basically a service industry, it would be necessary that all wings of the Central and State governments, private sector and voluntary organizations become active partners in the Endeavour to attain sustainable growth in tourism if India is to become a world player in the tourism industry. The study is based on the secondary data and the main objective of this study is to study the Indian government policies and programmes of CSR and to analyze the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities undertaken by the tourism industry. India is the first country in the world which made CSR compulsory for business houses as per Companies Act -2013. The main objective of this study is to develop a better understanding of the roles of universities in social responsibility (SR) and civic engagement (CE) to reveal best practices that can be useful for other universities. The unique evolution of AUW exemplified in its philosophy has created a solid foundation for SR. Corporate social responsibility plays a pivotal role for the consumers. CSR includes the manner of a business so that it is economically profitable, law abiding, ethical and socially supportive. This conceptual paper is to examine the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives on consumer behavior in bar service operation. On the basis of thoroughly researched secondary data, this conceptual paper suggests an integrated framework regarding impact of CSR on consumer behavior. From the proposed framework six factors of CSR are likely to have an impact on consumer behavior. Apart from these factors demographic variables will play a mediating role in the framework. This framework will help the researchers and to provide the direction about some CSR practices which affects the consumer behavior. It was compliance to WTO TRIPs provision and after this there was prohibition on process or generic manufacturing. India is the biggest supplier of affordable generic medicines and this patent protection is said to be beneficial to novel drug manufacturing countries. The generic drugs can be a differentiation factor between lives starting point and the ending point for millions of people in developing countries. This remains an obstacle to inexpensive generic medicines which results in devastating impact on the poorer people. These patent laws allow large MNC's to place ‘profits over people'. World Health Organisation report price of medicines are important for maintaining the affordability and access of the medicines. The litany of jargon often used interchangeably including such terms as CSR, sustainability, sustainable marketing, responsible business practice and sustainable development among others further lead to scepticism on organisations' commitments to CSR and the resultant allegations of greenwashing and CSR tokenism. This undermines genuine attempts to be corporately-responsible, fuelling confusion for any new players wishing to adopt responsible business practices. The aims of this study are: (1) to describe the concepts of corporate social responsibility and Outward Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI), focusing on the relationship between them, (2) to introduce the main CSR risks and opportunities of OFDI, and (3) to summarize the possible solutions for addressing CSR-related risks in OFDI activities. Our study indicates that zero tolerance of corruption is a strategic objective of investing companies. Prevention and mitigation of human rights violations are ethical obligations and in the business interest of corporations.
