Strategies for self-protection and reparation, unfolded by each group of victims, are analyzed in this piece, as well as how both types of sexual violence cases are socially received, in order to think how the recognition of their suffering and the belief strategies around the victims is woven. It seeks to contribute to the understanding of a connection between the act of sexual assault, the construction of beliefs and the access to justice. Likewise, through the comparison of cases, it focuses on the understanding and treatment of sexual violence as a social fact.","PeriodicalId":30987,"journal":{"name":"Seculo XXI Revista de Ciencias Sociais","volume":"9 1","pages":"415-445"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45683981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the case study of a steel production unit, we will seek to understand how outsourcing reverse process combined with polyvalence allows the expansion of flexibilization and the reduction of part of the workers' resistance against accumulation of functions. This research was based on interviews with enterprise's outsourced and direct workers, former employees, and with trade unionists and former union members of the Metalworkers' Union. Also used in the drafting of the text were union bulletins and lawsuits filed at the Labor Court regarding the outsourcing reverse process and the practice of polyvalence in the steel industry. The outsourcing reverse process and the return to a more vertical management of workforce has been developed along with the increase of polyvalence, expanding flexibility and reducing the number of jobs.","PeriodicalId":30987,"journal":{"name":"Seculo XXI Revista de Ciencias Sociais","volume":"9 1","pages":"610-645"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43645043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In these enterprises, work is organized upon more horizontal and flexible patterns, and workers’ participation and subjectivity acquire relevance. The objective of this article is to describe the forms of organization and association that these workers without boss, at a supra-productive unit level, integrate and/or create to achieve a multiplicity of objectives. The methodological design is of a qualitative type and triangulates a series of research techniques: interviews with key informants, analysis of documents and bibliography, and systematic research and analysis of journalistic articles on collective actions carried out by organizations linked to the process of worker-recuperated enterprises. It is observed that while, at first, these workers create social organizations that integrate a social movement, with the stabilization of the process, the movement tends to fragment and leads to cooperative convergence in organizations of second and third degree, union approach, and the formation of cluster networks. Towards the end of the period, an incipient revitalization of the worker-recuperated enterprises’ movement is observed.","PeriodicalId":30987,"journal":{"name":"Seculo XXI Revista de Ciencias Sociais","volume":"9 1","pages":"646-673"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42292699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although less visible, there are also interpretations that present differences with the dominant positions. In that horizon we are interested in the public discourse of the Uruguayan best-seller and spiritual leader Alejandro Corchs as an example of a New Age manner response to state political violence. Corchs has developed a biographical and testimonial reflection as a son of the disappeared of the Argentine and Uruguaian dictatorship, but also as a leader of Camino Rojo spiritual movement and self-help writer, focused on the idea of healing wounds and reconciliation. We seek to understand how pedagogical practices are put into practice around the figures of the martyrs of Catholicism, that is, priests, religious and bishops who were the object of state repression during the last military dictatorship and who have formed a memorial canon in the post-dictatorship (1976-1983). We will work two dimensions, on the one hand, the repertoire of symbols, images, murals, slogans that mark the territory of the parish and its annexes in order to contribute to the understanding of the construction of militant communities in popular neighborhoods. On the other, the networks of social, political and humanitarian activism that are woven beyond the territorial borders. Finally, we will problematize the tensions that arise from these dynamics, highlighting the limits of the pedagogical repertoire.","PeriodicalId":30987,"journal":{"name":"Seculo XXI Revista de Ciencias Sociais","volume":"9 1","pages":"481-527"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48993250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From qualitative research and using documents and videos, I considered how truth investigation and repair promotion categories to discuss slavery and transatlantic trafficking became current. Specifically, I analyze activities mobilized by religious agents who interpellate these efforts to show other figures of responsibility and suffering that are normally minimized by placing all eyes and devices on the essentialized victim-victimizer pair. I discuss this from examples from two different contexts: the South African post apartheid and the Basque peace process (Spain). The ethnographic material addresses the diverse effects and facets involved in the demands for \"restitution\" mobilized by the South African entity Restitution Center, which, without abandoning the category of reconciliation that dominated the TRC, aims to raise awareness among the white community about their debt, their responsibility during apartheid. The second is an ethnographic record of an event mobilized by the diocese of Bilbao (Basque Country) \"Bake topaketa, Encounter for Peace\", which aims to raise awareness among the population in general about cases of lesser-known victims, who in turn have relationship with ETA victimizers (ETA organization). It is interesting to think about the complexity of dimensions that encompass processes of internal violence, which as the years go by show new facets and new protagonists. The religious dimension here operates as a driving force for other movements, through religious activist specialists, with their specific rhetoric and resources.","PeriodicalId":30987,"journal":{"name":"Seculo XXI Revista de Ciencias Sociais","volume":"9 1","pages":"528-566"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44695041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
